The first draft that they sent me was complete disaster! It was extremely irrelevant to my sector and my job description etc.
They give you one week and then tell you edit the product yourself. They do not use writers that are familiar with the fields they are writing the resumes for and charge extra for Linked in profile but merely give you text that you have to copy and paste.
The quality was absolutely wretched. The entire resume was built on buzz-words.
Also the cover letter was a copy-paste one which doesn't have any individual input.

As one of the many who lost their money on TopResume, I feel so angry that I believed that such service may exist. What they promise is expert feedback and professionally written resume/cover letter. Instead, they ask you to provide your current resume and what you you think need improving. After a week and several emails, I received the first draft, and my suspicions came true. The writer, who didnt even send simple introductory email, just did the copy-paste job in a new resume template. To make things worse, their CS start sending you offers to add a cover letter for more money while the primary order still not delivered.

As someone said, they get 150$ from you for a kid's work who live in a cheap country in asia.

My advice for anyone, there is no perfect resume or a resume that will open the gates for interviews. A resume is personal document and only you can write to fit the job you look for. Take your time and perfect it gradually. There are simple rules that make your resume good enough so that recruiters dont throw it in the trash. Keep in mind that there are large number of applicants for any job and recruiters take the first 20-30 (maybe) resumes. Just stay active and apply quickly with good resume until you get the call.

I received my revised resume and cover letter in less time than expected. This was major for me as I wanted to be able to quickly apply to a multitude of vacancies and land a great job as soon as possible.

My revision stage was short despite my suspicion of the fact that my writer was not familiar with my industry. She did a great job of considering my objectives and worked hard to let my achievements shine. She was also very knowledgeable in formatting and ensuring the resume was easy to read and looked polished.

It has been 3 weeks and I have yet to secure an interview with a hiring manager, but I have been contacted by several recruiters thus far. The site currently guarantees double the interviews, but fails to detail an estimated time period.

I fell for the initial review, which included suggestions that made sense to me. $180 later the resume presented was a complete work of fiction that altered my experience beyond recognition--including 20 years of experience in a position I have never worked. The initial thoughtful suggestions were not included, and in fact my resume received the opposite treatment. I was told that as a career changer I must include 'buzz words' in my resume to get past scanning software. The cover letter was a joke--again making sweeping statements about an accomplished career I have not had. Don't waste your money.

Don't even waste your money! They try to get more money out of you anyway they can. Rush service doesn't work because after you already purchased it, it lets you know if can take some time to find your writer. Then when I got the e-mail they had a writer for me and my first draft was to be expected later that day, it never happened. This company definitely boosts up in ratings themselves, but don't fall for it! Do your research!

I bought the career evolution package, received an email that the writer is busy and if I would like to have another writes assigned. Few days later received another email with the date on when to expect the first draft. On the promised date of the draft I received and email from the writer that he is working on the resume and will have the first draft in few days, after I responded that the draft should be delivered today and not in few days. His response was that he is backed up and will do his best.
A day later received the draft that had missing information and mistakes, replied back and brought the missing information and mistakes, 24 hours later received and email thanking me for the "updates" and will get an updated copy in few business days. Worst service ever...

I bought its premium package including rewrite your resume, cover letter and LinkedIn by its top 10% writer. Five days after I purchased the package, the customer service has contacted me and said the writer was busy on someone else and do I want to switch to another one. I chose to switch another writer.

The new writer sent me the first draft within two days and I replied her on the same day. No feedback from her for next five days even if I emailed her again about the process. I had to email the customer service and report the situation. The writer has replied me after I contacted the customer service.

But! Most of the questions I asked have not been solved and she only did few changes and reformated the resume. I had to ask those questions again but she did not solve all my concerns in my resume or answered them in the email either.

I contacted customer service about my concerns and the girl who worked at customer service started to edit my resume. I do not think she is one of the top 10% writers.

In my package, one of topresume's responsibilities is to make my resume pass the ATS check. But I did not receive the full ATS report from them. Without the full report, how can I tell if my resume passes the check or not?

Topresume told me "You only receive one critique, whether you purchase or not" "You can compare your ATS results to the original critique, which will tell you what's changed." Topresume did not cover all these information at the beginning. Until now, I cannot tell that if my resume passes ATS or not.

My suggestion, never never never choose Topresume. The writer is irresponsible and customer service will not stand for the client. NEVER CHOOSE IT.

I had a great experience with TopResume. I was incredibly impressed with the end result, and couldn't have written it better myself (which is why I paid for their services haha). I am so grateful that they were not only able to help me with my resume, but also my cover letter. For me, the cover letter always seems to be the most stressful part of the application process. And they were able to produce a very thoughtful, and versatile cover letter that I can use to apply to many different positions and companies. My writer Brandy B, was awesome to work with. She was quick to respond and explained to me the thought process behind some of her writing decisions. I would recommend their services to anyone look for that extra boost while job hunting!

I was really happy with the service I received. I knew before I agreed to but that it would not be perfect, how can it be when they don't know me. They do offer some form of refund so that convinced me to give it ago.
I really like the CV that was produced, it was accurate and as I am changing careers the writer was able to effectively describe my skills and ability in the language/style of my chosen career. Besides changing a few Z's to S's because I live in Australia, I will make no changes for my CV for now.
The cover letter is a little too curt for my liking although I have sent it out as is and in some cases made changes specific to my application. I will stick to the format I received.
I was not overly enthralled by the LinkedIn work that was produced, I wanted a bit more shine, but again I was not expecting the moon.
Time will tell if the whole process was worth it as it has been four weeks, about 15 applications and I have not gotten an interview.
