There were a lot of grammatical errors and sentence structures that didn't make any sense in my first draft that I had to point out to the writer. It seemed like the writer rushed through writing it and just threw stuff together that wasn't appropriate for the sentences. There were random numbers and things I didn't do that were listed on the resume which I also had to point out. I was really disappointed since I paid for a professional service and I will have to spend a lot of time editing it. The first draft edit I had a few days to respond, but the second edit I received at the end of the day on 11/7 and only had until 11/8 to respond. I didn't really think that was fair. I honestly wouldn't use your services again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

The first writer that was assigned to my project provided me a first draft, and in her email stated that the resume was "ready to begin posting on job boards or sending to potential employers". A brief review showed grammatical errors, editing errors, and even misspelled words (what kind of professional writer doesn't spell check). I mentioned my concerns and asked for a revision, which was provided with a whole new set of mistakes, this time including a unfinished sentence. I must have won the lottery. I pointed the mistakes out and the writer mentioned that she mistakenly sent the wrong file, which I find really hard to believe. Nonetheless, she proceeded with sending me what was supposedly the correct file, and sadly it was the same document. At this point I contacted customer support, who suggested I work with a new writer, to which I agreed. Unfortunately I encountered the same issues with each draft that the new writer submitted to me as well, again even including misspelled words. I contacted customer support about a refund and they said that their product is intangible and thus they will not provide a refund.

UPDATE 11/10 - Yes, they are assisting by requesting that I continue to put my job hunt on hold to work with yet another writer. I just want my money back at this point, but TR will not oblige with my request even after admitting that the product that they provided me does not meet their quality standards.

UPDATE 11/13 - TR has stepped up and done the right thing in providing me a full refund. Although this process was much more painful than it had to be, I appreciate them finally accepting culpability.

Extremely unimpressed. They reformatted my resume in a manner that was unappealing, but I went with it because I figured they were the pros. I sent out my resume to quite a few folks before discovering a spelling error. Lovely. Anyway, sort of stuck with this sucky resume now. Willing to give them another chance because they have many writers, so maybe I'll get a decent one next time. I hope.

So, I submitted my professionally written resume for the free review. Honestly, I was shocked at the review they provided... supposedly the ATS they use produced my ATS generated paragraph with words not found on my resume anywhere indicating my 20+ years of experience was concentrated in two areas for which I have no experience and it also indicated I have little to no management experience even though my resume clearly had several positions and years worth of management experience.

When I questioned it, I wasn't really expecting an answer - but, the writer informed me that "... it is likely the formatting of my resume is incorrect." If that statement is true, that the mere "formatting" of my resume made the ATS they use produce results so blatantly wrong then I have zero confidence that any possible "formatting" change would produce any positive results using the ATS they use (assuming they actually used an ATS).

In my opinion, this stinks like fraud designed to take advantage of people who are desperate to find a job. Buyer beware.

Don't waste your money on it. It gets 2 stars because they do run it through similar software to what many hiring managers do. The 'collaboration' is nonexistent, they just ask you to review and make the changes you ask for with no discussion of why they arranged it a certain way or what. They basically just rearrange the info you already provide, and not always in a positive way. The writing itself uses odd language often with grammar mistakes. I'm almost certain this was written by a non native English speaker. I used to work closely with outsourced call centers and many of the small mistakes remind me of those made by Indians who learned English as a second language. Also noticed a lot of 5 star reviews way over the top, I'm guessing a lot of these 5 star reviews are fake reviews. Save your money, this 'service' is not worth it.
