If you wish to have your resume written by some third grade then Topresume is your company. They have no idea how to write an senior management / extractive type resume. Even when provide a copy from which they could use a temple they still fail miserably. They will only provide you with a two page none descriptive resume, and when you ask them to go into more detail they tell you it is and extra $50. You would be stupid stupid stupid to use this company and by the way they offer no refunds.
After completing online questionnaire, there was no response for a week until i emailed them. Their response was they would find some one to write my resume based on Q/A from the writer. There were none. Something incomplete was sent to me. Then they asked for my old resume (10yr old resume), which i sent to them and none of my previous experience made into the second resume draft. The second draft ad many lines in blue where i ad to fill in my current info and work experience. Just like a Word resume template. Deceiving. Very unsatisfied.

I'm sorry to hear that you find our process to be deceiving. Our process relies on both the questionnaire and your resume to help us gather information to write your new resume. Generally, we avoid putting experience older than 15 years on your new resume, which might explain why some of your previous experience didn't make it into the second draft. However, if you prefer to showcase everything, please let the writer know.
They really dove in to what my resume needed and got it into great shape! I am very impressed! A lot of times with these online services it's a toss up with what you get, but I'm going to be sure to use them again going forward
I am in the process of writing my resume and the critiques helped to steer me in the right direction.
I'm a graphic designer and decided to use these services to help take my career a step farther. The first one that was written for me didn't get me 1 call back or interview, so I emailed back and ask that it be re-wrote like the guarantee. Then it was disclaimed they would assign a better writer, but my cover letter wasn't included in the re-write, a year later and I have not had any luck or success with the resume, no new job offers! I would recommend finding a copywriter in your field or and paying them to work it over with you! Don't waste your money, even the guarantee wasn't worth it!
I've been waiting for my resume for over 3 weeks. I asked for a reimbursement and it was denied. I only receive excuses for the lack of response. Despite of all these reasons the company denies a reimbursement. Do not use this company

I hired TopResume to create a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn page for me. The process and product delivery was a nightmare! The original draft came back poorly written and wrong information. After requesting changes, some were made and others completely ignored. When I complained, the writer made one change (wrong title) and never fixed the other issues. I reached out several times with no response. The issue was never resolved and I was not provided with a corrected version. I was asked to rate my experience and I explained everything AGAIN to the apparent CEO with absolutely no resolution. He responded by saying: "Thank you for filling out the survey and taking the time to leave us your review and comments. I am really sorry to hear that your experience was less than perfect and definitely want to ensure this does not happen moving forward. This feedback is essential to creating improvements in the way our clients interact with TopResume. Please rest assured that we take this seriously and have documented your concerns and problems with your order. Thank you again for your valuable feedback. Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with in the future by just replying to this email. Our Customer Care team would be happy to help." No resolution and no refund! I don't even have a word document to change the issues myself which was supposed to be included in the package. I only have pdf files that can't be edited. So basically, I have to create it from scratch! What the hell did I pay over $200 for then?

I made the mistake of utilizing Top Resume to put together a resume for me. It took them two weeks to send me the first draft, and it was an elementary, poorly written two page resume. They asked me to add information to make it better - well, why do I need them, then? I complained about it and asked for my money back. I did not get my money back and was given one week to write in two drafts to correct my resume. What a waste of money. I ended up with a substandard product and zero customer satisfaction. I say, stay far away from this company!

I had a great experience using their services. They rewrote my resume to gear it towards the position I am seeking instead of my current position. I was afraid they were just going to tweak my current resume, but instead they completely reformatted and rewrote the entire piece. The first two companies I submitted my resume to called me the same day. It has been working great and glad I used them!
After reviewing my resume from TopResume, they gave me a really usefull points and suggestions that helped me so much in writing my new resume.

It took a complaint to the Better Business Bureau to achieve a full-refund resolution. When working with the BBB, I learned that this company has a pattern of complaints similar to what I expressed in my review (140 complaints at the time of this writing). TopResume is working with the BBB to resolve these issues. A resolution to my complaint did finally occur on 3/19/2018 with a full-refund credit to my account. They have also asked for feedback on how to make things better which I provided. The sad thing is that I never obtained a usable product and they have an 'All Sales Final' policy in the Q & A on the website. This is a big problem when application deadlines are looming, the product received is unusable, and their appeasing is more unfulfilled promises. As a recent graduate, this was a lot of money to me and being offered only 30% refund was genuinely insulting. The problem with TopResume as I see it is that they are relying on contracted writers who may or may not have the skills to write a stellar CV, resume, or cover letter. It's a crapshoot. My experience was two poor writers in a row and then arguments about a refund. Thankfully, I got my money back.

On 2/27/18 I ordered a Curriculum Vitae, Cover letter, LinkedIn In, and job posting package for $439.00. On 3/8/18 my 7-page Curriculum Vita had been reduced to a 4-page resume that contained lies, inaccurate information, misleading statements, and untruths. It was a cut-and-paste job from the definition of what a speech-language pathologist is. Not what I have done according to my submitted CV. The two-page cover letter I submitted was reduced to a 3 sentence paragraph with two small bullets. The cover letter once again contained false, misleading, inaccurate information. Moreover, the presentation of both was amateurish. I complained and as a resolution to my complaint, they promised reassignment and 24-hour turnaround. This did not happen. In fact, it is now 3/15/18 and there is no resolution. I have no acceptable, presentable product. I asked for a refund. They responded with an offer of only 30% stating that because I had received a draft that was all I was entitled to. I have asked for, at the minimum, a 70% refund, this company has not responded to this request. As such, I appear to be out $439.00. This company is a sham and a scam. AVOID.
I recently received a new design to my resume making it stand out and be more modern. Then, when I received my feedback, It said that it was visually unappealing. There are no crazy colors, only grey and beige and no crazy designs. It just has a column on the side and it looks very professional. The lady's justification was because it wasn't plain enough they believe it doesn't look good.
It is my belief that a professional resume writer does not review these resumes people send in. It is just a computer. I even followed up will an email asking more questions on how i can better change the design but all i received back was thank you for your response and these are our success stories. So, i had to follow up again to receive an answer and that is when she told me that it wasn't plain enough looking.
My advice, if you want a professional to review your resume for today's world. Go elsewhere.
Like other reviews posted here; I took advantage of their free critique which I found useful. I signed up for their basic service ($149) and it has gone downhill fast. They evidently have a glut of orders but did offer me a free cover letter for my patience (which has now ended).

I would like to apologize for the inconvenience we might have caused. We experienced a larger demand than we expected earlier in the month which delayed some of our orders.
I posted my resime to see how it stands out from the competition. To my surprise i was informed of alot of small tweaks to make in order to improve my hiring chances.
This is one those internet companies which do not have any offices or contact numbers.
They will first review your CV for free and after review they will critique your CV
Then ask for a fee to update your CV professionally
They will then send a poor version of the CV
After that no reply
They do not have an office or a telephone number to contact.

Answer: It depends, if you want to pay for a mediocre format riddled with errors that has the language equivalent of a high-schooler. You will end up paying $100 for something you could have sat down and done in an hour and a half.
Answer: Hi Carolyn, Thanks for asking! The process will begin with a questionnaire. If after you submit the questionnaire, the writer has follow-up questions, the writer will reach out.
Answer: Be careful with this company. They post 1000s of fake reviews to hide the real ones. Note that they do not post their phone number or address on the website. I had to file with the BBB to get a refund after never being contacted. This is a SCAM company - you are better off writing your own resume, trust me on this

Answer: I second that, Alex! This service is a sham! I've been assigned 3 different writers and have received a subpar product back each time, written by someone who's first language is clearly not English. The best part, I paid $100+ for a "LinkedIn Rewrite" and this was where the writer copied and pasted their version of my resume into the boxes for LinkedIn. You've got to be kidding me... Don't waste your money!

My original resume, cover letter and LinkedIn are far better products than what I've received from TopResume. If you are thinking of using this service, please PASS. Answer: Don't waste your money. All of these "reviews" are probably fake. I actually paid them $189 and never even got a usable resume. Find a better company. These guys are crooks!
