TopResume really impressed me with the work they did! I got a resume writer very quickly! My resume writer was extremely professional and blew me away with the resume he delivered! Not only that but he answered all my questions during the phone consultation. I've booked up two straight weeks of interviews and it looks like more will follow. I have no doubt that TopResume will help me get back on my feet with a job! These guys are magicians with resumes!

This service has done nothing but jerk me around. I have worked with two different writers now and neither could provide me with a complete and satisfactory document. The cover letter my first writer sent me was utterly unusable (grammatically incorrect, impersonal, etc.) and seemed like it was created from a template rather than crafted for a client. I put a lot of time and energy into providing documents, job postings, and information about my career goals, and all I got was generic buzzwords and an expectation to complete the resume and cover letter myself. When I complained, they offered to redo my resume, but not my cover letter, and I was assigned another writer. My second writer was downright rude, and neither could even send me an email without a typo, let alone a grammatically correct document. I almost don't believe this is a real service, which is horribly disappointing because I spent more here than I would have anywhere else because I was hoping for a top notch product. I paid for expedited service BACK IN DECEMBER and still don't have any documents I would use in my job search. What a joke. I hope no one else gets suckered into using this service.

I have NEVER written an online review but the experience with Top Resume warrants this warning. I used Top Resume in late 2016 and got a spectacular resume with lots of compliments. In March/April 2018, I called to update the resume and get a LinkedIn profile. Misspellings, writer just copied and pasted what I wrote about my current position, even sent him a postion description and he didn't use it.
For the company name, all that is on there is Company Name with generic address.
Must be new owners because this was a far cry of what I experienced this time. I complained twice, could not get a new writer and no apology nor any refund offered. I don't want to go into all the gory details online, just stay away!

I was skeptical at first of what could be offered but i was really impressed with the way they operated and delivered as described. I was pleasantly surprised that the finished product was a polished and professional product way above my previous efforts at writing a resume.

They took the time to point out where mine was lacking and what information to include and add to boost the content but decrease the overall length. A few of the prospect job offers and friends have acknowledged how well designed and fluid the resume was.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a professional business resume to get a role more than just a CV which points out your work history.

The free resume review is helpful (and that's what most of the positive reviews are about).

Do not purchase a rewrite from here. My first draft came after the deadline I was provided with, and was of very poor quality. I asked some questions of the writer I was paired with (Yolanda N) and she reacted with hostility and generic answers.

A lot of information about sales was put into my first draft, and in my feedback I said that this shouldn't be focused on since sales isn't a strong skill for me. The 2nd draft included even more emphasis on sales.

Do not waste your money.

I had received a free of charge assessment of my resume that I thought was well done and wanted my resume to incorporate the suggested changes, so I purchased the resume and LinkedIn profile package. After spending a significant amount of time providing them a copy of my resume, answering questions about my accomplishments and top successes along with copies of target job specifications, I received a draft that looked like a high-school student opened a resume writing kit and transferred my resume into a standardized format. It had none of the changes suggested by the free review and provided a generic Executive-Level targeted positional opposed to the actual position I was seeking. When I complained, they said they would find me a new writer. I asked for the person who had done the free assessment but was told that they only provide reviews and are not resume writers. After another week went by with no new writer, I asked for my money back, to which they said there are No refunds. Completely ripped off!

Ordered a 48 hour turn around "premium package" job. Not sure if that was the title. Included a cover letter, resume, LinkedIn, phone-call etc.

After a week with no updates they refunded my rush charge.

A day or two later i get a resume that i have to do so many basic grammatical corrections on, I felt as though i was editing a high school English paper.

They say they would assign me a new writer and turn it around within a few business days, gave me a specific date and time for the completion.

That date came and went. Barely an apology when i called to complain, "Do you want a refund or do you want to keep waiting?" was their response.

Will never refer this service to anyone.

I had high hopes and expectations given the positive reviews and unfortunately my experience does not warrant recommendation. My 2 day Rush order is now 4 days late with no communication from my writer after the prelimary greeetings and a statement that she would be sending it to me shortly. I have since called Top Resume to have them credit me $75. Since then I still have not heard from my writer and have since Requested a refund for failure to deliver as promised. After I sent the message then I hear from the writer. I am now three days before a scheduled interview and I have no first draft of my resume.

I submitted my resume through Glassdoor for a free critique from top resume, not expecting much. What I received back a day later blew away my expectations! I got back a thurough and detailed report looking assessing my resume through various angles. The writer, Erin, took time to thoroughly read my resume and send it through an automated resume reader to let me know how managers would see my work history. She gave me great insightful information that I would not have known otherwise. I was so impressed with the critique that I purchased a resume writing package. Im looking forward to getting my rough draft back and even more excited to send out my resume to potential job opportunities!

I called in and spoke to a young lady. She was unprofessional, immature, and unprepared. Her questions and commentary were borderline argumentative, and trite. She did not represent your organization as a professional company, but more so as a group of immature college kids launching a startup. I then asked to speak to a manager. A young man got on the phone and while he was more polished than this young lady I spoke to, he was indecisive, and noncommittal. He referred me back to the original young lady for my contact information. I have done further research and became concerned about the quality, reliability, accountability, and professionalism of your organization. Due to many bad reviews from multiple websites, I have chosen to go with another firm. I requested they remove me from their contact list.
If you look at reviews, you will also see positive reviews from TopResume employees trying to offset the negatives. These are not real customers, and are fake reviews.
I chose to go to Fiverr to find a resume writer. There are literally HUNDREDS of certified, professional resume writers willing and able. Be sure to look for those based in the Country you are in (Im in US, not Nigeria). The turnaround time was better, the quality and professionalism is better, and the product was better. $50 compared to $200 was a good deal for me. In some cases, you get what you pay for, but for me and my money, I will use my contact I found through Fiverr instead of ever using TopResume.

I paid about $300 for their services and the first draft they delivered was garbage. The second draft was even worst. There were things that were included in my resume that had nothing to do with my expertise. Also a lot of fluff was added without any context or meaning. I complained to them but they return my full payment. I googled them and saw that they have been reported the Business Bureau and some Scam sites by multiple people.

I requested expedited serviced and received confirmation that it would be delivered by 4/6, however, nothing was deliver. I reached out to *******@topresume.com and indicated I was still interested in the service and could they refund the additional charge $75.00 charge for expedited and they indicated they do not do refunds...

CAUTION: They will defraud you of your money and indicated "they have no way to provide refunds" Please DO NOT use the expedited service.
