I had Top Resume write my resume... it wast bad but I am definitely NOT getting any offers for interview. Now I understand that could be for a whole host of reasons... over qualified or under qualified etc. So... I was initially contact by Richard Q as he found me via Indeed and being new to Indeed I decided to go with him to rewrite my resume. Then I joined Glassdoor, which, I assume, is another version of Indeed and got an email from Katie at Top Resume asking if I wanted a 'free' resume review. I thought sure, why not, should be good for a laugh. Katie came back with her criticisms about my resume which had been written by her colleague Richard Q! These people are nothing but a waste of time and money grabbers. DONT DO IT. I also think that its very possible the reason I am not getting interviews is that employers could be overwhelmed by the amount of identical looking resumes as they are all the same format.

My writer made a dull standard resume with over 25 years of experience reflect achievements and milestones in a way leaders are looking for. I added narratives to an old running copy of a resume and sent to my writer. The information and the product returned was dynamic! We went back and forth via email on a few points before the final version was saved. The process is collaborative and professional. I added a cover letter and LinkedIn profile to my package and recommend that service also. Remember: a writer can't read your mind, give them as much information as you can to work from.

The "final" resume that was delivered to me was scattered with multiple misspelled words, inconsistently formatted bullets and sentences that were incomplete and made no sense. (I understand keywords, but, please!) When I received the resume I ran spell check on the document but the misspellings were embedded in the body of the document and were not highlighted. My mistake for not proofreading it more carefully. Shame on TopResume for ever delivering such incredibly shoddy work.

I can not believe how unprofessional this company is! * was the professional who was given my account. She went past my delivery date so far that I had to threaten her to get my resume completed. As apart of my service I paid for two revisions. Once I finally received my resume I asked for one small revision. She took so long to respond that her response was that my revision period had ended. Are you kidding me? As far as I am concerned this company stole my money. I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Good evening. I thought it was important to let you know that I am completely disappointed in the resume you wrote for me.
I am not looking for anything, not a refund, not a redo. Nothing.
I received little response, negative response or no response to the resume you wrote for me.
It was not until I sent out my old resume, with just a very little bit of tweaking, that I received many responses and, ultimately, a great job.
Again, this email is not to get a response. Only to inform you that it was a complete waste of time and money to use your service.

TopResume is a complete scam. You will only get a garbage resume written by someone with zero education and not from this country. The customer service is horrible and it is impossible to get a full refund. Do not believe any good review. Trust me, I wish I had listened to all the bad reviews. I tried to dispute the charge with AMEX, that didnt work either. I wish I could attach the resume & cover letter it's horrible. Don't get ripped off like I did.

Enamoured by their campaign, I purchased the executive package with a rush order. 3 days passed and no response. After repeated phone calls, I was dismayed to find that a writer has still not been assigned. I asked for a refund and yet persisted with the order given it was a July-4 weekend. The SLA for receiving the the first draft was 7 business days and my writer asked tons of details. She promised me to give the first draft and vanished! No response!
Again after marathon follow up, somebody at customer (dis) service picks up and puts me hold to return after 5 minutes to say "Oh Sorry Sir, your writer has not been able to complete and we are finding another one". By this time 7 business days has passed.
They send an email upon my insistence confirming my refund of my entire amount with NO Sign of apology or regret. Email reads " Nice speaking to you. We will refund your amount in 10 business days"!
Unless you want to waste money, please don't invest.
I was lucky that they screwed up and got money. Some of them I know have burnt their fingers with Shoddy resumes!
