Top Resume is a total rip-off I started researching the software these companies use to scan resumes? You would think that since they cater to a diverse audience that it would scan with the standards they Guaranteed? Nope It's been almost a month and not one interview! Please find another company don't be duped like this individual!

Someone initially reviewed my resume and provided good feedback so I thought I would try this company. The end result is a resume that is not viable to send out. The scheduled lead time for the first draft was over 2 weeks from the order. The first draft was delivered past the scheduled date. I sent the copy to my professional colleagues to review. Feedback was provided and it took over 2 days for a response from the writer. They lock your revision time within 1 week of receiving your draft. With the 2-3 days response from the writer it limits any feedback. After feedback was given they wanted me to send additional revisions after I provided feedback. Bottom line I received a resume that still is not to my satisfaction or usable to send out. I tried for a refund and they refused to provide it. Do not use them.

Scam Company

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY! I paid for a resume, cover letter, and because I needed them quickly I paid $75 for expedited service. I was supposed to have received the documents within 48 hours. I received them four days later. I took them to a recruiter who advised that I not use them. The recruiter said my original resume was much better. The wording and formatting of the resume and letter make them unusable. So I lost $200. I requested a refund of the $75 for expedited service back in August and received email that I would receive the refund within 7-10 business days. It's been a month and I am still waiting. Emails go unanswered. I call and get the run-around. This is a scam company that promises unemployed people a product that will get them into interviews, but they don't deliver. TopResume is scamming people at a vulnerable time in their lives. They take money that people can't afford to lose and they don't deliver what they promise. Getting a refund is impossible. This company is a horrible joke!

They evaluated my resume as being poor but I while I send them for modifications they modified just a few words. Their customer care completely out of topic. Do not send your resume to them, you will pay money for nothing,

They promise you to send you the first draft within one week but it took several days to assign my resume to a writer. After another week I got a resume which didn't help me at all because it wasn't written for the job I wanted to apply for. So I sent my comments within 12h to not waste more time. It took the writer another week to make a revision and I received it after the revision period what means I couldn't send my new feedback and get the chance to use the second revision. To sum up, it's wasted money to get a resume from them but I have to admit that they give you a good feedback when you do the free resume check.

Poor job

They create a person who is not me. They change my main expertise and even my years of experience. It looks they did not read properly the information I sent them.
After paying I was notified that if I want to talk to them I had to pay more. I realized this is a joke.
Please do not allow these guy to robe you.

I was contacted immediately with a clear schedule of how the process would unfold. The staff assigned to my resume responded quickly to my requests for clarification and correction. The wording and structure of the resume I received at the end was great.

I rarely bother leaving negative feedback for anything. But this was just a joke. False advertising. Although the writer was polite, she wasn't an expert at all in my field like they advertise. I had to redo EVERYTHING myself which defeats the purpose of hiring an "expert" When I inquired they offered me a $25 refund. Just completely wasted money :( Oh well. Maybe if you just need general help but then again there are free resources.

They were all about selling, constantly reaching out to finalize a sale. I ended up purchasing a quick 48 hour turnaround package that I was upsold. As soon as I did the constant contact ceased and days kept going by with no action. A week later when my resume still had no action it was really hard to get them to agree for a refund. When I tried to reach out for a refund because they never even started my resume they kept trying to offer me a free letter if I'd wait longer. I wanted a refund since they couldn't deliver; I don't want another free service when they couldn't even deliver on my initial purchase. After 9 attempt to get a refund (I even had tried to contact Monster who is promoting this service) I finally connected with a resume writer who actioned it. Posting on their Facebook page also helped, without making my story public they didn't seem to be responsive. Now I know why they don't publicize the review feature on Facebook! The initial refund they gave me was minimal compared to what I paid, but after more follow up I did get a full refund. I wouldn't recommend Top Resume to anyone.

Save your money

The only positive part of my experience was the resume/CV assessment that I received for free.

Here is a list of issues I had with the "service":

- visually unappealing
- incredibly bad grammar and refusal to make corrections (e.g., writer refused to remove periods at the end of bullet points. She argued that they aren't incomplete sentences because of imaginary pronouns and "this is how you write a professional resume")
- position descriptions written in word salad that will misrepresent your experience and put you in an indefensible position if questioned during interview
- low attention to detail (e.g., mixing experience between positions, EVEN AFTER being corrected in previous reviews/feedback)
- very unsatisfactory customer service (writer was very argumentative with me on several points, even minor ones)
- list goes on and on and on...

At the end of the day, after 3-4 revisions, what I received is less capable than my current resume. I have little confidence in using it until I do significant revisions myself, which is beside the point of the service.

This business relies on the 'all sales are final' clause and are unlikely to deliver a quality product, from my experience.

Stay away

This website is a scam. I received my writing products only after not receiving them in the time promised or getting any kind of response after emailing and calling several times. After starting a dispute case with the credit card company I used to pay for the services, the products were apparently sent to me though I never received the email. I found this out through my credit card company and have yet o ever hear anything directly from TopResume other than a basic "we'll get back to you" email response. It would be one thing if the products received were good in the end, but unfortunately they sound robotic, or like they were written by a non-English speaker without any further editing. I still have one product I have not ever received, but since TopResume got their money back from the dispute case, I doubt I will ever see it. This was one of the biggest financial mistakes I have ever made. I needed help and needed it fast, but didn't read reviews first. I'm hoping this review can save someone from the stress I've gone through. Please don't use TopResume.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! All they do is lie and make excuses. I paid for the Career Evolution Resume Writing Package and 48-hour Rush Service. I got the first draft from the first writer assigned to me well after the 48-hours had passed and all it consisted of was thesaurus vomit and fill-in-the-blank holes. The writer kept promising she'd have it done - Saturday morning, Monday morning, Monday evening, Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening... yet nothing, nothing, nothing. Then she makes the excuse she was ill. Then she had a death in the family. I'm sorry, I really am about the personal circumstances, but she had a responsibility to tell her management she could not take on the work if that was truly the case. Meanwhile, customer service makes excuses, says they'll refund the rush service fee. I get reassigned to a second writer and the same product - thesaurus vomit and fill-in-the-blank holes. I call and ask about the rush service refund and I get told I said the refund wasn't necessary (why would I continue to follow-up on it then?). I provided more than adequate information to complete the resume - two previous resumes, a detailed list of accomplishments, a career synopsis, and a list of recommendations. After two weeks, all I wanted was the resume they advertised, but ultimately they decided refunding my money was a better option than dealing with me. It appears no real work was ever done on the resume, as I asked to see progress. Sorry my expectation was that if you tell someone they'll have something by a certain time, it should actually be produced - guess that was too much to ask. I'll be shocked if I actually get my money back.

Do not hire Top Resume

I hired Top Resume on 6/30, completed the intact form (including links to jobs that I'm interested in pursuing, accomplishments, etc), and am in the process (on 8/20) of trying to get my money back. The first resume writer was horrible - she didn't understand my experience and just put words together on the template that didn't align with my career. The second resume writer couldn't update the template appropriately and distinguish between an accomplishment vs. my role. And now, I can't get my money back even though I don't have a workable product and they failed to deliver on the objectives I hired them to do.

His is the worst website i have ever had in my career. This is unprofessional and providing fake " copy paste" Material to their customers. I have spent 189 USD Dollar Package Career Evolution. I have struggled since last 3 Months they dont have skillful writer and their customer department is not resolved my queries.

They just kept my money and added nothing project details, search on profile. I would strongly recommend its better to download free template and convert you CV / Profile while spending money on them.

Hope fully some action should be taken for these type of service provider to create bad image all over the world.
