I moved from a Big city to a smaller town and never in my life have I had a issue with even getting a interview. I was lost for words I got the feedback my resume was horrible so I signed up for the complete package to redo everything LinkedIn, Cover letter, and Resume. Well its been 2 weeks and the 1st proof was the exact same format and fancy words that looked like someone was telling my story instead of me telling what I did. I sent it back and looked up the format that was completely different, However I am still waiting on my resume. I suggest you pay yourself $300 and you make a better format and send it to a friend to read.

I took help of TopResume critique, and I got their response within 2 days of sending my resume.
They broke the whole review in parts, explaining problems with each section, helping me understand what a hiring team would infer from my choice of words, what alternatives are there for those keywords, contrasting old techniques with new ones.
At the end they also gave me an ATS(Applicant Tracking System) review. This was meant to understand how the ATS system would characterize my CV, and what would they think of me, based on all the information I have provided.
They also gave some insight into the design and relative placement of content on it, and which items are more relevant to the job description, which ones add little to it's impact.
All in all, a thorough read, and totally worth taking this review. It will help you get a fresh perspective on your own profile.

Slow, they take there sweet time (9 days) attempting to write you a resume, barely made any changes, rather they deleted a rather large amount of important information in my opinion. When I inquired about this, and offered some suggestions on changes on the following day, expecting a response with an explanation I got nothing, so days later (4 days) I asked if they intended on responding! They responded the next day (day 15 now in this process) and advised me that I only had 16 days to make changes and review with them. So more or less I was out of time, as they still did not answer my questions about deletions and certain ways things were written. They simply made one of the changes I suggested and sent it back to me with a note telling me I can edit it myself! So why I am paying $350.00 for NO SERVICE!

I left a review with the company, do you think I got a response to that? NO!

Don't let this company drag your valuable dollars out of your pocket for nothing, this company prays on those that are in need!

I uploaded my resume because one was required for the part-time cashier position I was applying for. Consequently, I received an unsolicited critique of my sad, hastily thrown together resume. They basically told me it was horrible. For free! They told me I was underselling myself, which was true. It was the first honest feedback I'd ever received, so I took their suggestions and redid it. Now I'm waiting to see what happens... I have to have better results than I've had already!

My resume looked like it was created by a 10 year old. They essentially just took my old resume moved things around and said here you go please pay me $180 dollars. They missed the original deadline, didn't provided me a cover letter after repeated requests past the deadline and offered me a thank you letter for $50 bucks more. The thank you letter you can get free off any website! The one they gave me was ridiculously simplistic.
If anyone is reading this please beware. This is the worst resume service out there.

I did not have a good experience with this company. I asked them to write my resume for project management but they wrote it for sales. I have never worked in sales. I asked them to run it thru their ATS system and it came out as sales with a 55 score. Which means it wasn't even a good sales resume since everybody knows you need 80 or above to have a chance. I e\sent an email after also checking it on jobscan. The score was even lower. So I added info that I did not include in my first draft. Stuff I didn't know was important and put on Jobscan and my scores were better. So I ask for rewrite. They said I would get 2. They ignored me, then I get man email asking me what is wrong with me. I respond, asking for rewrite, nobody answers me. I ask for resolution, they act like they don't know what I am talking about. Then I get an email that says this is your final documents. They basically ignored me, no rewrite just a substandard resume for almost $300. I only took this approach because I haven't been in the job market for 15 years.

I wouldn't even recommend anyone doing any type of business with your company. I practically adjusted everything myself on the resume. Doesn't make any sense to pay $300 and I have to fix your errors. What's the purpose of your service? Oh wait, it's to make a resume! Well, did I really have someone make me one or was my resume generated by a software? Either way, it should've been revised which it wasn't. Feel like I got scammed out of my pocket. Good luck ripping others off!

If you are looking to have a resume written, re-written, or a LInkedIn profile updated - please look elsewhere. I contracted TopResume to do a resume update and an LinkedIn profile update. The first pass they did at the resume was amateurish. Horrible formatting, fonts and font sizes intermixed, and showed no concept of how to present the material for my background. After complaining and waiting over a week, they finally assigned another writer. Based on the delays and poor quality work, I requested that they cancel my order. Their response was that they couldn't cancel because they already delivered some work. They did nothing on the LinkedIn profile, and the draft they gave me on the resume was completely unusable.

Find a writer that you can make a personal connection with and talk via phone. TopResume doesn't, they only communicate via email.
