I have been with my current employer for more than a decade and I've recently decided that it's time for a new opportunity. That being said, my resume was dusty and outdated. I had used TopResume's free resume review and I was impressed with how detailed the summary was for a free service. I had made a mental note to invest in their services in the future, but time flew by and months had passed. I checked my email one day and saw that TopResume offered a 25% discount code for their services. I decided that was my sign to actually get serious about my job search.

I was paired with Alex who was very communicative and helpful. Alex was able to take my resume from a "doer" to an "achiever", and involved me every step of the way. I'm so happy with the results and recommend this to anyone that's thinking about having a pro take a peek.

It has been my experience that the TopResume team is proactive, communicative, and professional. My TopResume writer did an excellent job of summarizing my experience and presenting it in a succinct and persuasive manner. I got a writer at first who was not a good match, she actually removed my current role and past 3 years of relevant experience from my resume for unknown reasons. The second writer, Brandon, was awesome. He understood and took the time to craft a well reading, solid resume with all my experience included in a relevant, concise manner. Right from the beginning this service sounded very professional, I had some previous experiences with rookie resume markers on LinkedIn and other platforms but their work was horrible. First I was sent a questionnaire and I had provide all relevant information, then I was assigned with Thomas Z who started working on my Project. He was very patient and thoughtful with all my concerns and he made all necessary changes without breaking a sweat. I am satisfied with my resume and I 100% recommend this service.

It felt a little AI at the beginning - some of the mistakes in the doc were not something an experienced writer would make. If the process does include AI - I think that is fine - but it needs to be revealed. During the revision, the experience felt more human. If the initial draft had not had grammar and spelling errors - this would have been 5 star, or if I had understood that the first pass would be via AI that would have been fine too.

As a dissatisfied customer, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with TopResume. I engaged their services with high hopes of receiving a professional resume tailored to my needs. Unfortunately, what I received was far below even the most basic standards of quality.

Despite my attempts to address the issue, including discussions about assigning a new writer and offering refunds of 15% and 50%, the problem remains unresolved. No new writer was assigned, and the prolonged delay in resolving the matter has been utterly unacceptable.

What's more, the significant gaps between correspondence only reinforced my belief that the individual handling my case failed to understand the importance and urgency of the matter.

After careful consideration, I have requested a 50% refund, as previously offered, and have decided to terminate my account with TopResume. While I appreciate their attempts to rectify the situation, the extended delay and lack of a satisfactory resolution have left me with no other choice.

Overall, my experience with TopResume has been extremely disappointing. I urge others to consider these shortcomings before engaging in their services.

Let me warn you all, I paid for a full service, Resume, LinkedIn and 48hr rush, I still haven't received my professional resume, no LinkedIn profile, and definitely not in 48hrs. I was robbed over $350. Do not ever let Hilda offer you anything. I will be telling everyone I know to stay away from Top Resume. That's a joke of a name and they aren't top of anything but the dump. There's a special place for liars and thieves. I have two open fraud cases against the thieves. Please do not use. You will regret. Very very bad service.
