Everything I ever bought off this site is dollar store worthy, nothing more... I paid over $40.00 for an I-pad. When it arrived it wouldn't even turn on, while totally charged... Orders take to long, sellers refund after you waited a long time. But, they still do bids on items I never got. All I get is credits. I want my cash back.

I have gotten some great deals on Tophatter. Everything I have received has been what I expected. If a merchant did not provide a tracking number I was refunded and protected. Received some really cool stuff at a great price.

Almost every item I received from top hatter has arrived late half of them are damaged or poor quality but their customer service is excellent they give back most of your money

One of the items I ordered should never have been sold as boots, they are baby booties for adults. Don't want to spend the money to ship back, lesson learned. I have a lot of things that were supposed to have been delivered but have not been. Not ordering anything else because I'm not sure how many I will actually receive. Very disappointing waiting past the delivery date.

I always shop early for Christmas, a few things I bought were presents.
I bought a I-pad that doesn't work as advertised, it won't turn on right. The battery won't stay charged, when I do get it on, its in Chinese. I understand no returns after 30 days, when just ordering everyday. How can you shop Christmas, and not get refunds

This site is fun and has many different things to bid on. However, if the seller backs out you don't get your money back, you only get credits to tophatter. Also items can take months to arrive while others from the same place in China arrive quickly.

Some things have been good, some things have been really bad. Items take forever to arrive, they sit in the same place for weeks according to tracking information, descriptions and items don't always match up and some not at all but others are really neat just not exactly the way they are described or depicted. I ordered a Hopsy mini beer keg cooler for my boyfriend for Christmas and nowhere on Tophatter or Hopsy's website did it state that they didn't deliver to all states. Totally ruined our Christmas. I'm Still waiting on the one thing I ordered for one of my kids that said it should be here before December 24th and it's now January 7th and hes pretty upset as he knows what it is but it's not here!

Having bid and won many items has been a lot of fun and unlike a lot of other sites Tophatter's customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. When I have come across a substandard product they not only replied within a day but also refunded my $ immediately. Great site!

I'm very upset, that all the big items are not, delivered and you have to sign for them, Alot of my merchandise was stolen. Just recently I bought a 10 in tablet, and they said it was delivered to my mailbox and it wasn't.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
