You don't get what you think you're paying for. I bought a ring that was beautiful in the picture. When it arrived in the mail, it was a totally different ring. It sucked. The ring has since tarnished and turned that fake copper browning around the outsides of the ring as you can see in the picture. I also bought a cheap wanna be Nintendo game and it took forever to get here. I wasn't able to call anyone to complain and I left many many emails to contact tophatter and never got a response. This site is horrible! I don't recommend it! Go to Quibids or some where else. Don't waste your time or money.

I ordered 4 products, i paid for them all and i have only received one. They have NO CONCEPT of the words "on time". They have not refunded my money. Stay away from TOPHATTER! They have no morals or ethics.

I do like tophatter. I have won approx 10 items In the first few months. I should probably give them 5 stars but just couldnt get myself to do it. It's not tophatter's fault but 3 items took a fair amount longer to get then estimated and i needed to return the largest item i bought. As i said not tophatter fault for slow shippers or in the 1 case a seller completely and outright lying about the product but it did detract a little from my overall enjoyment so i had to give it 4*

I like the site and some of the items are fun to bid on and win while some isn't all that great. A few of the items make up for the less than happy products. A fun site but if you are expecting high dollar items, this may not be the site for you.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
