I like it that I can go online and find something that I may have been looking for for quite some time but at a reasonable price and I can find it on TopHatter and buy it immediately. The shipping time isn't too bad and so far the quality of the itmes I've bought isn't bad.
So far I have had good luck with the items I've ordered. Bidding is free and fun. Some items are "buy it now". Some of the shipping times are long. Some items have high shipping rates but the rate is there with the item. Overall though I recommend Tophatter.

I have not been please with most items I have purchased. They are usually poor quality and not really as pictured.
Some items are as they appear, while some are not. For instance an outdoors-man backpack came and was so small that you could fit little more than a water bottle in it, then other things such as the game system headset was exactly as it appeared. It's kind of a hit or miss kind of thing and you sometimes get what you expect and sometimes you don't.

I had bidded and won 2 different items that wasn't what they pictured but just a partial. I'm not happy with the delivery time neither. I first started using Tophatter about a month ago and won several different items and still haven't gotten many of them. I'm almost afraid to do any more bidding.

Over about a 5 day period I won a few auctions. The items were charged immediately to my credit card which was disclosed so not the issue. However only two of the items were received, neither worked and one was incomplete. Am waiting for those two refunds to show up on my credit card. After 3 weeks Tophatter cancelled another item and issued a Tophatter credit which I had to request be changed to my original payment method. Two other items I ordered were showing as ready to ship for 3 weeks and I had to request Tophatter to refund those. The last item has shown as in transit for weeks now and am about to request a refund for that. My experience is that Tophatter is an outlet for junk items from China not sold elsewhere. Even for those of us willing to follow up and send several emails for refunds this site gets to keep the funds for up to 90 days before issuing interest free credits.

I have been with Tophatter for just about a month now. I haven't had any adverse experiences. I have already won 25 - 30 items. I have been satisfied with most of them. A couple things I wasn't too happy with. I love the jewelry. I only wish they offered more garnet jewelry, especially rings (my birthstone)!

Tried to return a tablet that came from China couldn't read the instructions it cost me more to send it back then it did for me to pay for it I'm very unhappy some of the items that I have gotten are cheap once I get all my items shipped to me I will be taking you off my shopping list

What I don't like about sone of the vendors. Most ads say two-three weeks for delivery, I have has over 5-10 which I have had to inquire about due to not receiving them. And asked to wait for my packages even though so if they are gifts or birthday presents.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
