In these cases buyers may receive a store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense.

I've bought a lot of silver on this site, A lot. I have only had issues with two items, and they fixed them immediately. Just don't get caught up in bidding wars, know your personal price limit for the items you are bidding on and have fun.

I love getting a good deal on Tophatter. My best deal was a solid gold watch. I took it to my jewelers to verify it was solid gold and have it fixed. It wasn't running and I assumed it needed a battery. I was surprised that it was a wind up from the late 1800's / early 1900's worth over $2,000.00 I paid $150.00 for the watch and $150.00 to have it cleaned and in working order. I would say that was a great deal!

I have purchased many items from Tophatter. I love all of them! They were quick to deliver and always responsive to my notes. I have only had one instance where I received an item late and when I finally got it I also got a letter explaining the lateness. Of all Wish divisions, this is the worst. I have bid on items I wanted, only to find out I could have bought it outright more cheaply. The shipping charges are outrageous. I've actually thrown some items in the trash, because they were cheap to worthless.
Customers Service is non-existent. 2 days ago, I submitted complaints of an android tablet, that arrived with a smashed screen, and have heard not one word about replacement. It was fun at first, but since using this site I had over 1000 dollars worth of junk. I have a couple jewelry items I like. Oh, I did have another issue with customers service. I ordered a pair of earrings, but they sent a pendant I did not even bid on, I guess a companion item, that. Was awful. I wanted the earrings, but they misunderstood my complaint, and sent a 2nd pendant. Somewhere in the process, I got the desired item. I know I was charged for all three. Anyway, I've been asked to rate seeds that come in tiny zip lock bags. What can I say. They are there.
When I am asked to rate an item, the link takes me to the live site, of which I am sure is no accident. It is difficult to rate more than one item at a time. Would I recommend this site? I'd have to say no.

Please check your email for a separate message that includes the pre-paid return shipping label and instructions for packing your item. You will need to let us know as soon as possible should you have any issues opening the email that was sent separately, so we can look into that for you before the label expires.
Please note: failure to use the return label before it expires will result in your return request being closed.

I was not allowed to use the site to purchase of other items saying I had cancelled too many orders. I only canceled one and then there was a mix up with my bank and the payment was refused. I called my bank and they said there was not a hold on my account but the purchase still would not go through. So that order was canceled. I am now trying to order again and the site still won't let me and I don't understand why. I love this site and everything I have purchased has been wonderful. I want to be able to order some again. Hope this can get cleared up.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
