I bought car camera and it arrived with missing leads. The box was not even sealed which leads me to think it is second hand or refurbished. I have still not received a refund because they want me to pay the freight back to China with tracker which means I would be paying double for the item and only getting my initial money back. Tophatter should be paying for freight and NO consumer should have to pay return freight for faulty or damaged goods, The people they are using seem to be scamming with not new items. STAY AWAY FROM SITE!

I have been very happy with all the items I have acquired so far. Still a couple more on route, but I have been notified when they were shipped, and it's so easy to do a follow up. The things that are auctioned off are wonderful. I am very satisfied with the products. The things I have purchased are beautiful and I am not disappointed at all.
Quick delivery, pleased with jewelry, purses, disappointed some in the electronics as they are all foreign made and the smart watches were hard to program if at all, these were bought as Christmas gifts or I may have sent some back. The tablets worked great. Overall I'm pleased with the app. And will continue to use it and have recommended it to friends.

I am very happy with Tophatter. Its a easy way to shop and also prompt and quick service and I love the way they let you know about the order by sending a Tracker to watch for it.

Most of my purchases were pretty, and good quality items, but there were a couple that came missing pieces, such as earring backs, and one even had beads that had fallen off the earring that I had to glue back.
Everything I have purchased from Tophatter has been high quality and gorgeous. I visit Tophatter at least once a month...
Some items and the gold, silver collectables are great. Electronics from China BEWARE. They or some are shipped from the US. HOWEVER if you want to return for any reason. They want them shipped back to China. Cheaper to keep and toss on the trash than sent back at min 13.95 depending on weight

I've spent hundreds in tophatter. Why? Because its fast. Convenient and easy to use. I have Rose prints. Picasso. Others. Rings. Earrings... toys... tapestry... I love what I've bought on tophatter. Normally shipping is fast... TH improves its site continually. They are overall best site to do business with. They do it for me... u can go in and see what each vendor offers. So the variety of products is endless. I love tophatter!

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
