The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in its engaging auction format and a diverse range of products that some users find enjoyable and affordable. Many appreciate the responsive customer service, which has been effective in addressing issues and facilitating refunds. However, significant concerns persist regarding product quality, with numerous complaints about receiving damaged or inferior items. Additionally, customers have reported frustrations with order cancellations and difficulties in the returns process. Overall, while the platform offers a fun shopping experience, it must improve product reliability and support to enhance customer satisfaction.

Like this site easy to bid on items and delivery are timely and rerurns are easy as well. This review is to long and i have no ither comments so i have no other views on this site
Beware! If your able to check that particular item on line do it. Make sure that you are verifying that the item is really worth what they say it's worth.
I purchased a Cannon (all in one printer) thinking it was a great deal! The retail price showing on the Auction listing was $159.00. I won it for $22 (Great ha?) NOT! I looked online, should have done it before I paid, but I trusted the listing information, and it turns out you can get the same exact printer at Walmart and Amazon for about $4 more. Where is the 84% savings in that? AND the auctioned printer doesn't include the USB cable or ink cartridge, so there's your extra money that you have to spend on it. Always check before you pay!
I already outreached Customer Service to cancel my order and refund my money. We'll see...
I AM NOT INTO SOCIAL MEDIA. I JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT THIS SITE WAS LIKE. I LOVE IT. I AM GETTING ALL THOSE EXPENSIVE LITTLE GADJITS I ALWAYS WANTED FOR PENNEY'S. AND DON'T FORGET THE JEWELRY!
Fraud I sold ant item for $55 and I don't get paid until the following month and with all that waiting they take $33 I get $17 I don't see hope that right and there is no one to contact so please guys stick with ebay, mercari or offer up this site is non existing
I won 4 items all said to be valued over $347
I found the exact items on ebay from $4! I paid for the camera $24 *see image
This site should be shut down!
The watch they say normally retails for $167 another rip off! *see image
Its' click baiting people with the promise of saving hundreds and you don't just click on a photo they have up yourself and do a google search on the image of the item displayed I guarantee hands down every one will be only a couple of dollars either on ebay or elsewhere.
An eyeline I won for $17 is selling on eBay right now for 99c!
It is a fun site-if you don't win----you wait for the next one--and while your waiting--you may bid on something else... Just plain FUN!
I received my mystic blue topaz ring very pleased with it and it was a quick delivery. WHAT I DON'T LIKE! MY ACCOUNT IS SUSPENDED FOR 7 DAYS FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT! Had me charge for items I didn't bid on, and when I had to cancel them, my account was supended! I find that not right! Why should I have to pay for a transaction, that I didn't bid on.
Nothing but problems returning items. I won some necklaces that were "real" filled white gold. The stamp on the side of the necklace when received was for sterling silver! This happened twice! Then I won some "real" gold filled necklaces worth lots of money. Had 2 different appraisers look at 5 of my 10 necklaces won from 5 different people selling. ALL WERE FAKE! Not one item was real. This is false advertisement. Whenever I contact the site for issues I get the EXACT same response every time back word for word. When returning items you have to put in a valid tracking number, after returning all items I put in the valid tracking number. Now 5 days later when I go in to look at multiple returns, the return was "closed" by the seller due to "not returned in a timely manner". I feel they are stealing from me! Don't ever bid here. If you have, have your items checked, they are probably fake. Such a disappointment.
I did a little research on few jewelery items and it turns out there cheap and made from China I even found out the prices they put down on topphatter isn't the value of the actual jewelery, so watch what you bid on this site do your research on the piece of jewelry to see if it's real and legit.
Ordered item. Received wrong item, that had defect. We sent them an email regarding defect and wrong item. They said they would email return label. Never received email with return label. Now, they will not respond to emails requesting return label. Beware.
Item was ordered and paid for. It never arrived - Tophatter staff decided against a refund for the item. Consumer pays for the item, but it never arrives.
Everything I have bid on and won, and that I have received is good quality and I am super satisfied. I try to choose items that have free or very low shipping costs and so far I am happy.
If I could give a -0, I would. They lie about the quality, the prices they have on there are deceiving... I never received quite a few of my items. This site is a big fat joke! Truly disappointed!
I am an earring hound and Tophatter has a great selection, and new ones all the time. I'm addicted to the site. The best part is, the prices are great. I never feel as though I'm being extravagant. You can track your package so easily, they post it online. Items usually come very quickly, and I absolutely love getting little packages of jewels in my mailbox. I've never had a bad experience, either with the process of purchasing, or the purchase itself.
DONT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE EVER! I DINT RECEIVE 2 OF M PACKAGES FROM THEM... AND THEY DON'T PROVIDE INSURANCE OF THEIR PRODUCTS.
When I have won a bid and the seller immediately cancels my order, Tophatter suspends my bidding for 24 hours. This is good business?
I sent them a message using their app. As soon as I realized I didn't receive my order, I messaged them stating I was on the phone with the post office. Then another message after speaking with the post office, giving them all the information. Their response in a nutshell, tough $#*!.
I took the app off my phone.
Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems
Answer: You have to read the descriptions. It will tell you if it's real or plated.
Answer: Do not deal with this company,,, all jewelery is crap n cheap
Answer: Tophatter will screw you over. Shop Amazon or overstock.
Answer: Good luck! Tophatter rippes off the sellers so they are not going to be very likely to return your money.
Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
Answer: Yes! Sale of counterfeit items is prohibited. If you are concerned about the authenticity of an item purchased on the platform, you may return it for up to 30 days from delivery. See full details on our return policy here: http://tinyurl.com/h7xokwj.
