In the short time I have been a member of Tophatter I have been satisfied with the price and quality of all items I had bid on and won. I have also made addicts of family members and friends I have introduced to the site.
I have no issues with Tophatter at all. Some of the stuff they offer is real junk but it is my choice to bid on it and I can always return it. Other than that I really enjoy seeing what's coming up next...
Some things are shipped faster then others. The should have a More electronics for sale fast and simple bidding.
Price what you are buying. Shipping starts at $6 most of the items COST $6. The have sample sizes and cheap products I took the time and saw how much people paid then looked the item online and they overpaid 90% of the time! I came out about even because I bid overnight hours but bought thing I did not need,
Site not held responsible for items not delivered. You have to contact your delivery company and go through another system. I hate companies that can't you can't hold accountable for delivery. I need to speak to the person I ordered from. I want my money back!
It has been very good for the most part. I did not get my White Gold Filled with White Sapphires Rings instead they sent me Sterling Silver Rings. I would like what I actually bid on. Not a look and like in silver.
This website is suck! It won twice for the items I have chosen from, I paid already, they charged me, then I got message notification from it few seconds later said that I am refunded; I will receive my refund 7 to 10 business days. It is horrible. I think I won the items with under price; therefore, they just charged me, then they do not want to sell them any more; I think they properly wait for another transactions with higher price.

They duplicate charges on my acct., for the same item! Sometimes they charge my acct 3x or 4x more then what I paid for the item! Greed! Do not order or bid anything from them! Ruby is one of their apps... DO NOT BUY FROM TOP HATTER ANY MORE!

Tophatter does not double charge for orders. If it took a few attempts to pay your order you may see "Pending" charges on your account, however, these charges drop off and do not deduct from your account.

A plus with customer service taking care of me but a lot of the items are not worth the money they are very cheaply made. Not all just some.
My only complaint, I ordered a pink watch and today received a red one. I have ordered many things and very happy with them.
Never using this site again, everything is cheap! I only likes one item out of about 30 things I purchased.

The first two items I ever bought from this site never showed up. USPS wrote that they delivered them in or at the mailbox. Three more items pending, The item delivered today has the same problem. I doubt that I'll see items four and five either. I will never waste another penny on Tophatter. Too much BS.

I and my husband order a few things from her over a month ago and still not received. And other things we order get here in no time flat coming from the same destination. While other things ordered got here well be for the delivery date, which is great.
Why does TopHatter refuse to pass on questions about a product to the seller?
They are giving themselves and the seller a bad name, when the problem might be easily resolved with contact.
Gift World, I hope you check SiteJabber also, whoever you are! If you are not a fraudulent seller, I am sure you would want all issues resolved.
The response received from Tophatter just confirms their stance on trying to get assistance from a seller. Surely it is in their interest and the seller's interest to have satisfied customers.
A buyer should expect problems to be resolved and the seller given the opportunity to answer the problem. By the way, the seller was Gift World, who may well be a respectable and reliable seller. I am sure they would be anxious to resolve the problem, if they knew about it! ( I have no other way of trying to get assistance).
By the way, I have purchased over 100 items from Tophatter. I still purchase, but avoid any technical items that may need contact with the seller to resolve issues.
If you are buying technical items, do not expect any assistance to resolve a problem.
NO supplier assistance is available, and the only option offered is the return of the goods. Instructions can be minimal, and incomplete, making it impossible to resolve what might be just a simple procedural problem. As the cost of returning the item is often prohibitive, it just leaves you frustrated and out of pocket.
The shipping takes a long time to get here it's been over two weeks since I ordered it but other then the shipping taken to long the prices are very good
I've been on all the other sites started Tophatter, geek, wish along with dealdash and I've been kicked around everything I ordered refunded from geek and wish because I used 2 different bank cards and that made me a fraud and jerked around by all those other sites had some issues on TopHatter... well guess what I've just loaded my prepaid card today so step aside Tophatter you get my money and my vote. 6 times.
I bought a lot of nice things off of tophatter.com and the site itself is great sometimes it runs a little slow but for the most part I've enjoyed my experience I've just had some problems with products coming from some of the retailers that are out of the country they won't answer me back when something comes in not as I ordered or damaged and so pretty much all I can do is just review the product and some of them have been really bad but for the most part I have bought from a lot of good retailers off of there

When the decision is made for me to "go bidding", my choice is always Tophatter. On my last excursion, it was an opportunity for me to showcase the site to one of my eligible associates. Just to share with her and allow her to see how simple it is to pick up a gift here and there, or do some serious shopping.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.

In an auction format, it's up to each buyer to review the item description prior to bidding, taking note of all key details, to decide what is a fair or reasonable price based on the value he or she places on the item. Bidders decide how high they are willing to bid, and can stop bidding at any time.
