I won a ring and had it appraised at a jewelry store they said it was worth 0. So I took it to a pawn shop to see if I could get anything for it and they laughed in my face said it was worth 0
I also believe there are dubious sellers from China that will find a way to keep from honoring a low bid. Tophatter does nothing to guarantee a buyer will get the item paid for, however, twice I have been refunded due to this practice & tophatter does nothing to stop it. I have fullest intensions to contact the Federal Trade Commission to the problems with this fraudulent practice, biding, & selling.

I'm truly sorry to hear the seller failed to honor your sale. Please note it is against Tophatter policy for a seller to issue a refund without the buyer's prior consent. I have had mostly good experience with Tophatter for as much as I have bought but after this last sale or should I say bid I refuse to buy any more because I bid on a ring and won but was sent the wrong ring and the only think Tophatter would do for me was tell me to send it back, send it back? What about the ring I bid on and was supposed to get? They said they did not do exchanges etc. Well that was my last bid and I bought a lot of jewelry off them, their loss. If they don't back their customers than they won't stay in business long because customers will only put up with these sales just so much before leaving like I did.

I wonder if this site has people bidding to up the prices, also i wonder if Tophatter regulated to keep them honest and legit with no people bidding the price up.to me it always seems the exact item always goes for just about the same price just a few dollars difference between the same items. But other then me wondering about that they dont seems to bad i had a watch i won and wrote to claim it and they right away refunded my money.

Received my third item from this site and it's the third item that has very little value. The MSRP are worthless. I got a pair of slippers for $6 that had an Msrp of $80 plus value and they aren't as good as ikeas. 99 cent slippers.

While bidding the cost of the item is shows very high. I was bidding on an item whose cost was shows as $1000.The same item is available on other websites like Amazon, Ebay, Walmart for mere $20. So if you mislead a person, how do they plan to compete on the same

Purchased bracelet and a ring from tophatter. Their valution/price was usd $1,200 on bracelet. For insurance purposes took jewellery to be valued. Was advised not worth valuing them - expect some discrepancy in valuation to their pricing but not to find item completely worthless.

When a seller decides not to honor the bid because it's too low for the product, tophatter should back the buyer up by suspending the sellers account. My purchase said refunded combined shipping credit when there was not even a combined Shipment it was just a B. S. Excuse not to sell the item. Don't buy anything from Aaron!

I have bought 10 different beauty products and they have all been fake. Why is there no phone number you can call for issues? They say counterfeit items are not allowed to be sold on their site but everything I bought is fake so of course if it was one here or there that would be one thing but there is no phone number I can call. Can only send in an email. I would like to know if these stores I have been buying from are going to be allowed to keep selling counterfeit items.
Products are good service is great suport is always up to scratch and up to date my purchases have always been good quality
For the most part I have no complaints with Tophatter, I have had a few issues with some of the vendors, but for the most part they are resolved to my satisfaction
I say its a joke bidding on something and not getting what you purchased. I got a drone on bidding when i received it it had no camera like it showed. Plus no way to charge battery
It is too much of a problem to return items that 1. A Watch that you could not set. There was a ring that I never received. Other than that everything has been okay.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
