Tophatter sucks

I've been into online sales for some time now and decided to tryout tophatter. I listed 50 different silver coins on the site which are real "unlike most of the junk on there". The coins were doing great so I thought I'd bump it up and start listing Gold nuggets. The Gold nuggets are real. I've put a lot of time and money into prospecting to get gold and someday hopefully make some money at it. The first two days I sold every auction that went up. Next thing I know tophatter decided I have to send them a receipt proving that they are real, which is impossible because I didn't buy them. I've gone back and forth with some know it all named Katie through emails for multiple days and it has gotten to the point where she has basically called me a liar. This site is not user friendly. If you're a buyer you will be ripped off and if you are the seller they don't want you around unless you are drop shipping a fake product. I can't prove it but the drop ship companies probably own tophatter and don't allow the little guy like me to get a piece of the pie. My advise is to stay away. There's better more honest ways to sell

The sellers' listing price on the items are so fake and outrages. You can buy the stuff cheaper at the store or on eBay. I brought two items and found them cheaper at Walmart. I think the company (Top Hatter) should make sure their sellers are being honest about the prices and the description of their products. One of the item was a AB Gymnic Electronic Body Muscle Arm leg Waist Abdominal Massage Exercise Toning Belt Slim listed at selling for $198.00 Are you kidding? I found it for $3.00 and free shipping. Don't be deceived in thinking you are saving!

We ordered a few items from the site. The rings we got were all costume jewelry that you can get anywhere else for around the same price or even cheaper. The gold and silver we got are a waste of time to buy. And the coin we got was the wrong year. I got suckered once but it won't happen again.

Happy for Cheap

Wow, what a rip off. Cheap mini projector that is not stated in the ad. Poor plastic quality and a phone number that doesn't work. Really disappointed and I feel like a complete sucker.

Refunds

Top hatter will not refund funds ot give credit after you complete payment on any item.

I have purchased over 40 items. And its not the seller/supplier. Funds are not released to seller and not refunded to customer.

HI there,

I see that you opened a Support Ticket with the Seller on July 2,2017, requesting a refund due to 'no longer needing it'.

Because Order #: 31294878 was refunded so quickly after payment, the transaction is actually void. This means your payment will not settle on your credit card/bank statement. In other words, your bank placed the funds on hold but no funds will come out of your account.

To explain this further, payments are processed through your bank in two steps. First, there's an approval, then after approximately 24 hours, there is a settlement. Orders that have been approved show in a pending status on your statement, then they move to a settled or completed status.

The payment transaction for this order will disappear from the pending payments section of your statement within 5-7 business days and will never move to the completed status.

If you have any questions about the void transaction please contact your card-issuing bank by calling the toll-free number on the back of your card.

SCAMMERS

The Learning Computer is a cheap plastic toy that looks like a 10 inch Tablet in the picture, you can buy for $13-$15 delivered from other sites. Seller advertise that they are knocked down from $358 to try and get people into an overpriced bidding war. These things would have been lucky to be $20 when they come out, and even then they would have been over priced as they are cheap and nasty. False advertising!

Won the auction for a watch for $8, received 2 and billed for $12 on the second one. Worth only about $3. Real junk, went to send them back, you go through all this unnecessary bs before you say the heck with it and donate it to Goodwill.

I have bought several items for Tophatter and did have 1 problem with a smartwatch, the band on one side had come off very easily, but the rings, and a drone, well their great! I think what people fail to realize is that the items are cheap, but not made cheap and for the price! Who wouldn't want to give it a try! I've read reviews that said Don't get sucked in! Well it is that fun, but hey we all have a life out here in the world too! Tophatter. I recommend and have to friends. I truly believe you will be glad you checked it out! I will NEVER buy again or recommend Tophatters to anyone. The items are absolute rubbish of very very poor quailty. It cost me $100 to have things returned using tracking but I still cannot get that money back or the cost of the items and the original postage I paid. One item is lost and no way will they refund me my money. I have repeatedly told them I have followed their instructions all to no avail. The company should be CLOSED DOWN. Australian's DONT BUY anything ELECTRICAL cause it doesnt fit with Australian standards. The trouble is you dont know where the item is coming from until it actually arrives. Most of the stuff is coming from China and is of very very poor quality. I am now out of pocket around $250 and have no items to account for the money. Not matter how many times I contact Tophatters, they will not listen or refund my money.

I have purchased 2 items now and what a joke. The first ring which tarnished in 2 days. The 2nd a watch for my husband, when it arrived I took it out of the packaging and the watch backing was off. To ship back I need to provide a tracking number which would cost more than I ever paid for the item. I will dispute it with my credit card as faulty goods.

Overpriced

I bid on a few items and won only to find out I could get the exact same item on Ebay and other sites for so much less. Example, I got the 'as seen on TV pet groomer glove" for $6. Looked it up on Ebay and could get the same items for $1.39. I also won the bid for 20 climbing strawberry seeds for $7 but found the exact some thing (even the same photo of the plant) on a different site for $4.99 for 50 seeds!

Not worth the money

I bought two items from Tophatter, an eyeshadow palette and a wireless phone charger, shortly after I downloaded the app. The eyeshadow palette broke immediately when I tried to open it, and the wireless charger didn't work.

I wouldn't recommend spending any amount of money on this site. Regardless of how good the deal may seem, chances are it isn't what you were expecting.

It was ok. I bid by accident when I was trying to look at the description. It was not expensive so I just figured it was my mistake I will take it. When I received it I happened to do a search because I was not familiar with the company name that made my item and then I saw that I could have got it on another online auction site with "buy it nows" less than half the price with free shipping.

Be warned! Don't get sucked in at all! They do not allow you to cancel and when you do you are blocked! I tried to get my account closed and my credit card information to be deleted and they have not done it! Bad business.

Since my last review I went back on top Hatter couple weeks ago and check them out again now I'm very very very careful on the items I do bid on I did have a few problems on some things and customer service refunded me right away I still did get a few items that was nowhere near what the picture was but as I understand top Hatter doesn't have anything to do with that but I do realize if you complain about the same item over and over again they will do something about that seller so they do still have great deals customer service has been much better and I've shopped on it again just watch what you're shopping for and watch those shipping prices to they charge way too much for shipping that's another thing they need to watch out for the customer charges way too much for shipping for t-shirts and and little items I hope this helps anybody
