Unfair practices

First I won a bid on a mini projector and at a low bid and my bid was refunded for no reason. Then I noticed that win I was winning a bid for a low price the item would move or disappear from the screen or the timer would slow way down. Items are being pictured larger then they are, or for instance there is a case for a Bluetooth speaker JBL with the speaker in the case but you don't get the speaker I've seen people bid 50, 60, 70.00$ and get ripped off,. I've had items that they say were delivered but I never received I put in a claim and was told it was delivered, everything I get in the mail is signed for by a security guard it has to be I live in a VA housing. I returned 3 items and was banned for 24 hours, items are packed poorly and come damaged. My fault for trusting tophatter, if you buy from tophatter and get ripped off I warned you!

Laughable

I have purchased 3 items all of which arrived quickly and undamaged. However, all were cheaply made in China and almost useless. Always remember that you get what you pay for and if the deal appears to be too good to be true... it isn't true. The good news is this lesson came cheaply. The bad news is I have to keep learning the same lesson over and over again. I'm not going to even waste my time returning the items.

Wrong doing

I used my card today to pay for something i won and someone from a prison in texas confiscated my card number and transferred all my money to his food account. Dont know how dont know why the chip didnt stop this but but beware there are thieves everywhere gas station store pizza places

I won a bathing suit in an auction then check my credit card they took the payment but they canceled my purchase and still have my 14.52 what happened the order is paid for but the bid got cancelled bull$h! T

So i'm giving tophatter 3 stars because of the good customer service and return policy.
The sellers are the most dishonest shady people. All items on here are Chinese knock offs and the quality is total crap I have already returned most items I bought with the exception of A few that I found useful. The "retail" prices are ridiculously high and they use shill bidders to inflate the auction sale price. All these issues are with sellers on tophatter not the auction sit itself. Tophatter itself is pretty good abouut the refunding process every item I tried to return tophatter just refunded me without having to ship them back to china so kudos on the buyer protection. I strongly recommend using A 3rd party payer like paypal so your credit card has an extra layer of protection against the sellers trying to make bogus charges and if your scammed paypal will refund you.

Do not buy or sell item at this app they will get all your money and u can't get it back. If u buy an item it won't ship to your door because the product is located in china. And when u sold an item they will take your money from advertising that automatic turn on ur account. I I have sold over 500$+ in 3 days and there advertising charged me 1000$ for advertising and I not turn that on my self after everything have been sold and I don't make any money and losing my 500$. Tophatter is a scam apps

Credit Card Fraud

I tried this website and bought a ring but after reading the reviews I changed my mind. I never received the refund but I figured shame on me right. Next thing I know months later I get a call from my bank saying my credit card has been compromised... I rarely use my credit card and no one has access to it. So my friend reminded me of this sketchy site. Well good thing it was flagged right away. Stay away from this site.

In regards to Order #32451329- This item was canceled immediately after payment making the transaction void. When a transaction is void any Pending payment you see will fall off and not go through with the charge. With no payment being made a refund is not required.

I bought a screen magnifier for a cell phone. It's a piece of crap. It is supposed to come equipped with a speaker and a wire hooked up to the phone. I got the item. It is a cheap piece of plastic with no speaker. It is really bad. I took a pic of it to prove it to Tophatters. The seller won't refund the full prize either, but only portion of it and I need to send the item back with a tracking number. I contacted Tophatters this was pure fraud and they shouldn't allow such sellers and need to be more strict with fraudulent sellers. They said I need to just deal with the seller directly who is in China. But this seller is fraudulent. The item was not what I ordered. The item did not match the description at all. I am so frustrated. Never again will I ever patronize Tophatters again, unless they get their act together and be more strict with fraudulent sellers. This is fraud. People in countries far away don't want to deal with this crap.

Another BS Seller

TOP X is another seller on there that advertises a 2.4ghz wireless back up camera with 5" monitor. I won two of these and they did come in but were not wireless and did not have the receiver/display. Tophatter refunded one of them and they expect me to return the other one to China, cost of returning is more than item. It's too bad they don't protect the buyers, but to still allow the sellers to sell after being provided proof of fraud is criminal. For the most part it is all cheap knock offs from China and you can find the same scammers on Ebay, at least on Ebay you are covered by PayPal. I order from China from Ebay all the time, always get great service and deliveries within two weeks at the longest. DealDash is another penny auction site and there you can actually get some good deals. I have two orders still in the shipping process, will be surprised if they actually get here.

It was explained at that time that we have a system in place to report counterfeit items when requesting a return.

One day I received a package for a friend, It came in a very large box and when she opened it up it looked expensive, There turns out to be issues. It seems others had issues too. She said that she paid $5 US dollars which includes delivery. They obviously lost money on this.

Also know your prices. It. T hard to get get the price and then bid. The list prices are in the clouds. Sky high prices that are almost made up. Just be careful.

Buy at your own risk

2 out of 14 items I bought is good quality. I even received broken item and they want me to pay to ship it back. I am still waiting for 2 of my items and after I received those, I am done buying through them. There really is no buyers protection.

DONT DO IT!

When I first saw this site I thought it was great. The saying "you get what you pay for" was never more true than this site. After receiving a few orders I realized the items just aren't really worth it. THEN... I get a $843.39 dollar taken out of my account. It came from the same place Top Hatter is located. Trying to get my money back has been a nightmare! If you enjoy this site, I would suggest getting a prepaid card with only the amount of money on it that you are willing to loose. It is NOT a secure site.

Tophatter is a scam!

I have spend close to $1,500 on this web. Finely the Junk start coming in this, Month Of August / 2017. Most of the Items, that I have received was junk. I am sure that most people thing they getting a good deals, like I did, because how they display the retail price For Example I was biding on a Drone, that supposedly was $675.(they displaying a retail price under the biding square), so you thing you getting a good quality product at an excellent price. I, have paid $45.00 for this junk that now I want to return. And thy will return minus $11 for shipping. This particular package I'm Refusing to accept, but I have to Pay for Postage, the postage to china will be more then the junk they sand, and how do you know what you getting if you don't open the package? What a Scam! I'm wondering how this website can still operate.
They should be locked down.

They don't verify sellers

Won two auctions for $200 each. I should have known that, seeing they were the only auctions I could find anywhere near that value, that the wins would not be filled. Yes, the items were valued at six times what the winning bid were, but that's the chance you take when you utilize an auction format. Seller never delivered either unit. Money was refunded, AFTER 30 days. All the staff could tell me was that they were shipped, based on the fact that the seller clicked on a button that said so.

China Ripoff

Every package comes from China. I got a smart phone with all instructions in Chinese. A knee wrap that shows a tens unit was bogus. A tens machine itself fell apart upon opening it. A ring size 7 was so small I could not get it on my pinkie. I have a drone coming and my grandson says Walmart sells it for $18. I am awaiting a genuine tote/purse, I wait with baited breath. Ripoff site. Stay away.
