The company has garnered a mixed reputation among customers, with notable strengths in its engaging auction format and a diverse range of products that some users find enjoyable and affordable. Many appreciate the responsive customer service, which has been effective in addressing issues and facilitating refunds. However, significant concerns persist regarding product quality, with numerous complaints about receiving damaged or inferior items. Additionally, customers have reported frustrations with order cancellations and difficulties in the returns process. Overall, while the platform offers a fun shopping experience, it must improve product reliability and support to enhance customer satisfaction.

It is a very easy website to follow and obtain some wonderful items from for excellent prices. I have obtained some great items from the site and would encourage others to do also. My only problem with it is the amount of duty to be paid on items coming from Hawaii.
I love everything about this site. Everyone should try it. Everything is very cheap for good items and they don't charge you unless you win.
The watch I bought was falsely advertized. It showed a nice military watch and when I received it it was generic. It didn't have all the features it said it was to have. None of the items I purchased were worth the purchase price.
Some of the things where exactly what i perches d and some here not but over all it was ant to bad vat all
They're very quick at shipping out the merchandise. The prices are good and they've always been very helpful.
The bidding was fun to say the least even more so when I won the items I bid on were what was advertised I could not be happier
I like the challenge that bidding offers. I'm a competitive person. Only thing I don't like is before you start they show you an item. I tell you I will be up for bid soon. I never can find it
SOME ITEMS ARE NOT VERY USEFUL SUCH AS TH TEETH POLISHER.
THE ENDS GET LOOSE AND ARE NO LONGER EFFECTIVE.
Very good prices! A very fun site to shop on!
I have gotten many, many great bargains! From rings, to bracelets, to necklaces, to purses. Even got some retinol serum. I had to back off for awhile... this place is very addictive... lol.
I give it 5 stars. I have bought fine jewelry and it was really nice quality. I love how cheap expensive quality products are. I buy alot of items from top hatter.
I love to buy in a store or on the Internet. I had a great time bidding on the Tophatter site... but... it is so easy to spend so much because i get so excited... advice: bid when there are few people bidding against you and you will succeed more often for a lesser price.
Tophatter is okay. I've gotten what I've wanted. There was one incident where I did not get the item and I sent it back to the person who sent it to me instead of Tophatter and Tophatter refused to work with me. It was a gold vintage ring that I bought paid for and GOT NOTHING. No ring, at all.
Bid on a watch. Paid for the watch. Haven't received the watch. Tracking says I have received the watch. Tophatter says too bad about the watch. I say we're the hell is my watch... who knows. Tophatter doesn't give a flying fig... just the run around.
Buyer protection my backside.
I was very excited when I first discovered this app, and ordered almost 40 items within a week... then the orders started coming in. One by one, I received: makeup listed as genuine Kylie Jenner or Urban Decay but were all BAD knock offs, jewelry listed as ". 925 sterling silver" that was anything BUT sterling silver and looked NOTHING like the picture, cheap electronics that have cords that don't fit the device chosen, and on and on. Initially, customer service helped me to return this crap, but now I'm forced to lose money sending back items that were grossly misrepresented on their site! Literally, the postal workers laugh when I come in and have started asking me, "Are we returning another bad item?"! This site is a joke, and their products are all cheap crap that I would be embarrassed to give as gifts! (As most of the items I bought were intended to be gifts) Unless you like wasting your time and money, STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!
Huge disappointment, at first it was a lot of fun, quickly realized don't trust the pictures because they are very misleading. Even some of the descriptions are very vague. Use with extreme caution, buy 2-3 sizes larger in clothing. Best to browse the items then set reminders and still that doesn't guarantee any quality in items purchased. Too much of a hastle to return anything. Take forever to get a refund if you ever get it at all. The only items that seemed to be of any quality was the Jewellery and there is a good chance it will turn your skin green or lose its shine or coating quickly...
If you manage to land a good deal or two, it appears as though tophatter will block you from bidding anymore. It just errors out. I have had this happen to me three times now, each after getting a really good deal on a product. Each time they have had to go in and unblock my account. Takes a day or 2 to get this done. Also, it can take as much as a week for the product to get shipped. Then everything is pretty much coming from China, so there's another 3 - 4 weeks for delivery. You'll be lucky to get your products within 1.5 months. Another concern, the images are very misleading. Be sure to click on the item and carefully read the description of what you are actually bidding on.
Out of all the purchases I made only 1 was a decent item. Sellers are putting pictures of items that r not true to the actual item. I received junk with no way to use it. It is stuff that u would buy at a. 50 cent store if there was such a store. It is not worth the money to return. Everything came from
China. Staying from this web site
Just got the smart watch. Give you scan bar to get the app. If you can read Chinese your in luck if not good luck. The canon camera it's only a lense not a camera..
Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems
Answer: You have to read the descriptions. It will tell you if it's real or plated.
Answer: Do not deal with this company,,, all jewelery is crap n cheap
Answer: Tophatter will screw you over. Shop Amazon or overstock.
Answer: Good luck! Tophatter rippes off the sellers so they are not going to be very likely to return your money.
Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
Answer: Yes! Sale of counterfeit items is prohibited. If you are concerned about the authenticity of an item purchased on the platform, you may return it for up to 30 days from delivery. See full details on our return policy here: http://tinyurl.com/h7xokwj.
