I have enjoyed shopping at Tophatter for ore than a year now. I have ordered many things from jewelry to flower seeds and for the most part have been very pleased. In any situation there are a few "less thans" but it has been a sweet experience for the most part. Sellers have been willing to make it right when it was not and received quick receipt of orders.
I'm excited too rate you five star I've received all the items I've order, however I have not received my order from earlier this month.
I really enjoyed bidding with Tophatter but I was disappointed as I cancelled a few orders as I found I could get the items cheaper elsewhere. Unfortunately Tophatter has band me from bidding for a year! I certainly won't be bidding with them anymore as think it was very harsh and not good customer service at all!
I don't like your payment methods. I will not use the pay pal site... I was doing fine with using my checking method but you guys wont do that so not ordering from you anymore.
A few things I order was nothing like the picture and never received one order. When I posted I didn't receive it said would take a few more weeks. That never came. Never would let me post a complaint.
I received two items, one missing parts, and one inoperable that appeared to have been opened prior to my receiving it. Prompt, complete, and courteous refunds were made. One even did not require a return so I just trashed it. Will continue using Tophatter

Most of the electronic products are broken the ones that arent are sub standard flashlight broken dash cam broken 1st tablet broken 2nd tablet works slow wifi speaker broken two chargers had to buy the charger for the stands that i got havent received the cam-corder yet

The products are great; and more often than not, the product arrives BEFORE the estimated delivery date; and if there IS a problem with a product, then Tophatter will make it right, EVEN THOUGH it is the responsibility of the SELLER to do so!
When Tophatter says that they want you to be happy with your purchase, THEY MEAN IT!

I love this site overall. I did have to make a return once & was told that it didn't arrive in time. The post office told me that it was on time but no one was there to accept the delivery & they held it for pick-up or redeliver.
I love the basic function of this site! I have used one other bid site that you had to purchase the bids in order to participate. Tophatter is much more honest as you pay for purchases instead of bids! Excited with the things I've bought here. Looking forward to seeing the matching necklace & earrings to my favorite bracelet!
First, I ordered a lot of seeds. But not one package of seeds arrived labeled.No where in the packaging was there a name for those seeds. Plus, all the seeds look the same, even the tulips. Aren't tyulips usually a bulb? Then I have ordered LOTS of jewelry from Tophatter. LOTS> +SEveral pieces tarnished quickly, and there were 2 I received who soon had their "sterling silver" rub off to reveal brass. Um... really? I have stopped ordering for awhile to see if the quality improves.
Some items are worth more than the money I did spend. Delivery is on time and postage is affordable. I love Tophatter.

I advised your contact people about this situation, and nothing was done. I think that is why I have not placed a order for over 4 or 5 months.
I don't use the site anymore. The things I got were cheap. The photos were misleading and the items didn't look like the photos made them look.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.

Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
