Wake up

Come on people, do you not read the descriptions on the items. I have bought many pieces of jewelry from this site. I am happy so far. I only buy the sterling silver items. You buy anything else your fingers, wrists, neck or ears will turn green. You need to learn the wordings for FAKE! I see many bidding on jewelry items that are not going to last. As far as clothing or electronics you know to stay away. As most items are sold out of China, just in the shipping alone, your item is going to be used like a football. Be smart and just use your common sense. This is not rocket science people.

Bad experience
October 11, 2017

I won an auction for an apple watch. I tried to pay but it kept saying that the address listed on paypal was in the wrong format. I checked paypal and it was in the same format that tophatter is. I have never had any problems with this before. However, Tophatter keeps pressing me to pay my bill.

That's not fair at all. Just because I'm the only bidder it does not mean it can be removed from the board. That's the entire idea. This happened to me twice.
I did purchase other items outbidding others. But let people have the one bid wins.

Fun Site

I love shopping here - most of the items I have received have been a really high quality. I would recommend trying it to anyone in search of a bargain. It is best to shop around as most of the merchandise they carry can be found on other sites for lower prices. But, they do have some items that are hard to find anywhere else. Plus, its a lot of fun using the site. I had one technical issue and customer service resolved it very quick. So far I have not returned anything since the majority of my purchases are for such a reasonable price I can't see the point of going through the return process.

Cheap crap
October 11, 2017

Ive orden 7 products now from 7 different sellers. All products where cheap dollar store crap. The jewlery was not platted 18k it was painted aluminium garbage that faded around the neck after 3 hours. One product should up plastic instead of stainless steal. Most auction products can be found in retail stores at less that 5$ not the scam price they display under the auction price. Kylie products are fake and can cause serious harm to ur face n lips do to the FAKE manifactures putting glue n toxic oils into the lipsticks. Dont be stupid if its seems to good to be true its because it! Dont spend mor than 5 dollars n antthing cause that all there worth.

Muddled But Happy

The very first time I browsed Tophatter, I ordered a wireless Canon Pixma printer for $14. Shipping was free on this item. I did have to buy ink (not a surprise). It works great but a little noisy and I can adjust it on line using the CD that came with it. The only drawback was that the price for this item elsewhere on the web was not much more than what I paid. You need to read carefully what you are buying.

I have given this product a one (1) because product needs batteries to work and the batteries do not fit securely within the product area where the batteries are supposed to be placed. Hence, you can't even turn the product on. Would like a refund but invoice doesn't tell you how to go about requesting a refund. These cost $27, can anyone help me?

The worst place to buy

Straight up liars!

I had an order that was "undeliverable," according to the tracking status on the USPS website. Yet Tophatter told me the post office reported it delivered. I eventually had to go to the post office and pick it up. They tell you lies and then tell you a refund will not be issued because the post office said it was delivered. The post office said it was undeliverable! I got my item but I am still just dumbfounded!

Upon review of tracking for the item, I see the following. On October 2 it was out for delivery, with updated scans on October 2nd and 3rd of undeliverable and finally delivered to your location on October 4,2017.

When a package shows delivered to your location but not received, we recommend calling the local post office to ask the supervisor to attempt to locate the package using the tracking number. Beware buyers! All the items on there are cheap from China and takes a month to get there. Tophatter does not take care of buyers or sellers they just care about their own profit.

Sellers Beware! Go elsewhere. Tophatter will screw you over in fees. I am a seller on there for two years now. I am leaving FINALLY! They have stolen from me and if I had the $ I would sue them. They are not helpful they dont care about anybody but their China sellers that can offer Free Shipping $1 Start Bids. You will lose your a*ss. Go anywhere but there! I have a year now of pulling my hair out from frustration of them changing everything to screw me over on a daily basis.

Absolute junk from china. Purchased a men's razor. When it came it was just the plastic shell, empty inside. Bought a neck massager. You cannot open the battery box when finally opened the instructions said to turn it on and off. NO ON AND OFF SWITCH anywhere. Another item in the garbage. Clothes never again. I ordered 3 tops they took forever to come. They don't tell you their sizing is Chinese sizing. A large wouldn't fit a 10 y. O. Child. Save your money

This site should be absolutely dissolved, it's completely a hoax, whatever you want to call it! Total SCAM! EVERYTHING YOU BUY WILL BE FROM CHINA AND LONG SHIPPING AND IF YOU WANT TO RETURN YOUR CAN'T BECAUSE THEY WANT U TO PAY THE SHIPPING WITHIN 4-7 DAYS ON YOUR DIME TO CHINA... DO NOT BUY! I've tried to contact all sellers and no response just a email saying I have 4 days since it took 3 weeks from China for my 30 day warranty I'm totally calling the Better Business Bureau and my Attorney general's office! You all should so the same! They say they are based out of California, but no response on the west coast call or email... be advised DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SITE EVER!

Class Action Suit?

A lawyer would have a field day with Tophatter. Here are my experiences: Bought several items. Of the ones that came with boxes I found the boxes crushed. For a speaker I bought, the control button was missing. But the real kicker came when I won an auction for a drone. It had a retail price of $1400 It just came today. I would be shocked if this sold for 10 bucks in stores. The box is literally less then 6 inches wide and 4 and 1/2 inches long. Who are they kidding.

I read some of the previous reviews- people feeling like they were mislead about what they bought. I did that ONCE. I quickly learned to click on the picture & see exactly WHAT I was bidding on. Sometimes it looks like a computer & it's just a case. I pay with paypal... Tophatter doesn't want to lose Paypal as a way to pay. Anything returned, I have received the refund for. Just a word to the wise...
