I have been very pleased with the items that I have received and it is easier than going into a store and not finding what you want. When you are disappointed with an item, they are more than willing to refund your money, and dont give you a run around or make you fill out a bunch of papers. I would recommend this site to anyone that wants a bargain.

Received another backup camera I bought the same day. Another one that does not include the 5" monitor as it implies on the site.
They were very good about issuing a refund though for the last one.

****UPDATE**** TOPHATTER has buried all the negative reviews. Please pay attention to the posting dates. As of 10-19-2017 they now have 3 pages of 5 star reviews? IMPOSSIBLE! Look at 10-16-2017 and on. This is more proof Tophatter is a scam. I'm sure they have loyalists writing glowing reviews while the real people are getting ripped off.
Sure, the first couple pieces of junk you buy you will be able to return. UNTIL you reach the dreaded, AND I QUOTE FROM TOPHATTER "CUSTOMER SERVICE":
In some instances, Tophatter assists with the return cost and in others the return cost is at the buyers expense.
The cost of returning the item with tracking is at the buyers expense for this transaction.(Please note that our system does this automatically by actually reviewing the entire account history. It looks at the total number of canceled orders, refunded and returned orders and compares it to the total number of completed orders. If the ratio is too high, the buyer return the item at his expense.)
So in other words, the more you buy, the more you're rolling the dice because you will reach an end to your "allowed" returns. We got carried away because we thought it was fun and we could buy nice stocking stuffers and Christmas presents for friends and family. I would not give this crap to local salvation army. The majority is absolute garbage.
Case in point, please refer to https://tophatter.com/lots/*******. This looks like a nice watch. I bought 2 thinking i could keep 1 and give the other to a friend. Well, the date is painted on,(YES, actually painted on) the chrono dials are also painted on, the turn dial is fixed and also painted. This is just 1 instance of many so far we have encountered with tophatter. We ordered a bunch of crap before anything arrived so we had no idea how bad it truly was. PLEASE HEED THIS WARNING, SAVE YOUR MONEY, DON'T BUY FROM TOPHATTER

I'm terribly sorry that Tophatter doesn't meet your expectations and your experience hasn't been satisfactory. Being there are millions of users who use Tophatter, this is not the case for them all.
Furthermore, Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns.
For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold. The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense.
When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.
Unfortunately, you've requested returns in excess of the threshold, and we are unable to provide more free returns at this time.

I purchased an item which was inclusive of postage. The site does not explicitly state if you are liable for import tax (I was), but further, you will note that it is impossible to determine where an item is being sold from and therefore whether you are liable to import tax. You basically don't know what you will be paying - not good enough. The subsequent offer of a credit to the store to purchase more items without clear advise on whether tax is applicable or not is at best embarrassing. The core of the issue has in no way been addressed and this futile attempt to encourage me to purchase more is irrelevant. I hope that potential buyers take the time to read these reviews and opt to an alternative source rather than being burned financially in the way that I have.

I ordered a pair of Magnetic Eyelashes for $18.00. I was told it was delivered on 10/14/2017. After speaking to my postal person, no package was delivered to my home, yet Tophatter customer service staff said their sorry but can't do anything because the tracking number says it was delivered.
Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY FROM TOPHATTER. They don't care about their customers. It's only a matter of time they are shut down for fraud.

Come on people. I seen a plastic 1 week plastic pill organizer that showed it was normally $79, but you can buy it now at the low, low, price of $7 + $6 shipping. I don't think I've ever seen a plastic pill organizer that costed $13, let alone $79. They have exactly the same one at the dollar up the street for only, wait for it...$1! Holy crap! All the products that I seen that say you can get them at 80% or 90% off normal, I don't know where they're getting their price info, but they are showing normal prices WAY above what you would see at even the most expensive stores. What a scam.

This has to be one of the most unethical companies I have ever worked with they do not care that their sellers are misleading customers to try to fatten their pockets... sure the few of us that get upset have to go through all the BS to try and return items with some sort of guarantee! Not like we have a warehouse and the staff to do it for us... when issues are brought to tophatter they are either ignored blown off by the very limited customer service you get, before they cease any contact! It's always the customer's fault, they bear no responsibility I think I remember eBay losing that they bear no responsibility part, there are enough people here to bring a class action suit on its offices in the United States namely San Francisco California

I ordered a USB for $6.00. I was told it was delivered on 10/10/2017. After speaking to my postal person, no package was delivered to my home, yet Tophatter customer service staff said their sorry but can't do anything because the tracking number says delivered.

The Order #: 37360488 is already shipped, and Tophatter is unable to cancel orders that have a status other than Paid or Unpaid.
When an item has already been shipped, you can get a refund by refusing delivery. The post office allows refusal of packages for up to 3 days from delivery as long as they are not opened. It is very important that you do not open the package. Instead, just write "refused" on the package and send it back in the mail.
Be sure the postal carrier scans the package as "refused" in front of you because we rely on the tracking information to confirm the package has been returned and process the refund to you. This is very important because we cannot track the package and process a refund if tracking does not indicate refusal and return to sender.
Please contact us http://tinyurl.com/j8eo7hu after you have refused the package and tracking shows the package is in transit back to the seller and we will be happy to process the refund.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
