Very disappointed with some of the sellers and the items that they put up for bidding a lot of the items are NOT as advertised and are garbage. THis is wrong and these sellers should be held accountable I had won a learning tablet in English n I was sent a Chinese version n the seller will not respond to my text. SHAME. Linda

Wow, talk about a cheap way to shop for little gifts here and there for your loved ones or just even random gifts for your to show that you're thinking of her or even toys for your kidlets or yourself. Sometimes the itmes aren't as pretty as the picture but often they are in perfect working order. There's even some nicer items on here that are a killer deal.

First i warn you check the descriptions of each item very carefully. You might think your are bidding on a camera, but it actually it's only an accessory, like a screen protector. I find this very deceptive marketing. Shipping on some items is extremely slow and the quality of the items is mostly poor. The reply from Tophatter is BS as nothing has changed on their site still full of deceptive adverts

Everything I bought saying 24k gold platting tested out to be 10-12k gold with JSP. So they clearly lie about there product with 0 public feedback on their sellers or product. You have been warned.

If you do read the second page description real quick you will buy something thinking you are getting something else

Buyer beware. Items are shipped in cheap plastic bags offering no protection. So if and when item is received damaged they require you to pay postage to send item back to China before you are refunded. In most cases doesnt make sense and they know it with our shipping rates typically more than you paid for the product. Best thing is if you find an item you like look locally or in most cases find the item in a US based dollar store. Stay clear of these Chinese clowns. Ive been burned now three times and wont be taking any chances again. Im out $35. Lesson learned I want to share so you wont make the mistake I did.

Most of the items I have received from them are extremely poor quality, size not true to descriptions, broken upon arrival or just don't show up. I made the mistake of ordering an over abundance of items within a couple week period believing it may be a good deal. Now I have a whole box of items to return and no where to send them. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to get to customer service. No phone numbers! No email address! Click the contact us button and you get sent in circles.

Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
