They only put on items they can make the most money from. I have put items on the same items the Chinese sell. They sell there first even when I add free shipping. Then I am working for them has I sell for less then I paid for the item. The Chinese charge more for shipping and still get on line more. Just not right.
I bought Xcsource X96 set top box which when plug in overheated and a strong smell of burning when I got in touch with them was informed I have to send the item back to get a refund why would a company want this dangerous item back I have taken this to trading standards in the uk and this is going to be checked but I believe if it's plugged in for more than 30 mins it will start a fire so don't use this company

99% of the products i purchased thru Tophatter that are from china have been poor quality you recieve the item and the packaging is broken and the object doesn't work.
Also i know that the prices seem low when you bid however somtimes they are not there is always a valued price crossed out underneath the going price now that is lying when they say something is worth $148 but is going for $27 if you purchase now but if you want to bid for it the bidding starts at $2 if you bid $10 and win and the shipping cost you $12 so then you are paying $22 then they send it to you and if you have purchased something else from them they send them both in the same post so they save themselves money but still charge you. I find that an unethical business practice. I purchased quite a lot of items as christmas presents as i am disabled and can not go out to shop. Half of the items did not arrive on time for christmas and the half that did arrive some were okay but the others were either broken or were of very poor quality i am very disappointed. I don't blame tophatters i blame the companies that have the products stop selling rubbish, you may sell a lot of the items at first but when people find out it is rubbish the sales will stop just sell better products and the success will last longer. I have over a dozen order problems cannot post them all i have given up as it cost more to send the items back so its putting good money after bad.

I have all positive experiences with TH. You watch the screens, and if ur interested u bid. If u miss the bid you can be assured that the product will come up again. I was a little skeptical at first about the quality of the products Some are pretty nice while other are not so nice. I am just careful and will try to purchase from someone whom have already bought. The down side, and I know this is an issue to most, but in some cases it takes time to get the product and other times u have to pay the extra fee to ship it quicker. For the most part I find it relaxing and I usually give the products away to my kids and grand kids.

Tophatter. I find the website a good place to shop for bargains. Returns and refunds are issued immediately with no hassle or problems. A word of caution for the kids. A few are the items are profane and the language is unacceptable for my children to shop. I'm sure many parents react in the same manner.

These are cheap items. The bidding was exciting and I was a fool and purchased over $650 in products to try to meet my Christmas giving. I was very disappointed with most products I received. I am still waiting on delivery on most items. A few items have been sent back with a provided shipping label. Refused items were not logged with the post office, so I not only don't have the item, there is no tracking record that I refused the packages... I was screwed again. After that experience, other items cost more than the actual item to return, so I got screwed again. The pictures are deceiving. Just a few items were worth keeping. Damaged items also cost too much to return. Some items were given as gifts. I now expect some of them to be returned because they will not work or item is too cheap. I overpaid on some items, but this is what bidding is about. They were cheaper on Amazon or even the local Target or Walmart. I have filed complaints with items that cost more to return than what I purchased them for not working, cheap or damaged. Return shipping labels should be included with each product... READ FIRST BEFORE BUYING! THE BIDDING IS EXCITING WHEN YOU WIN, BUT TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ REVIEWS AND THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEMS. INSTRUCTIONS ON ELECTRONICS ARE NOT CLEAR, TOO SMALL TO READ AND ACCESSORIES WERE MISSING THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO COME WITH PRODUCT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA AND EVEN THE SMALLEST PACKAGE IS $16+ TO RETURN. MOST OF MY PURCHASES WERE UNDER $10, SO I'M SCREWED! I AM NO LONGER BIDDING AND WAITING ON THE REMAINDER PURCHASES WHICH WILL NOT COME UNTIL LATER JANUARY 2018! BUYER BEWARE!

I have ordered from them 15 or more times, l have experience problems with most of my orders, to small, nothing like the pic. Just plan out junk and I will never order from them again. Why do think they don't have a phone number.

If you don't mind purchasing poor quality products, waiting too long for them to arrive, crushed packaging, Instructions in such small print you need a magnifying glass to read them if you only had an interpreter because they are written in broken English and wasting your money then this is definitely the site for you. Remember the lowest price often isn't worth the trouble & that describes Top Hatter to a tee. Do yourself a huge favor and move on...

It is a lot of fun, but I would recommend reading the description of the mdse as you are bidding. There display sometimes doesn't represent true size of mdse. Remember to check shipping charges when bidding.

I bought two gifts from this sight for my son for Christmas and received junk. I bought it early and now that he opened it and it doesnt work I cant return it. The 500 gaming system... you can barely see the characters. The drone... would have been fantastic if the remote would work. Such a disappointed Christmas. And they say they cant help me! I will never buy anything from them again. Beware!

The prices are excellent and auctions are easy to win. It is addictive so be careful. The only knock is that most items come from overseas and take a long time to arrive. I have yet to be unsatisfied with the quality of anything I've bought.

So far I have only had 3 orders, a bit disappointed with one, it was ankle bracelet, the product itself is lovely it's just that it is a bit short so will only fit slim ankles.
I was pleased that all of my items arrived early as the delivery date was between Jan 6th to 10th.
I reviewed some items before I decided to purchase which resulted in one item I saved myself buying as it had a bad review so shop wisely!
All in all a positive experience

Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
