Have been on Tophatter for a little while now and have brought a fair few items and can honesty say have been really happy with the products and the service. The set up is easy for anyone to use, if you have any problems they are there to help you, if you need to return an item as l did it was easy and quick no problems. Just 1 hint before you bid read the description very carefully.

Tophatter is a wonderful platform bidding is super funny and you can get really cool things on the process, shipping is faster that it should be considering overseas sellers... Items not always are the best but customer service rocks!

I won bids for several items, all of which were delivered on time and were of superb quality. I initially thought, for the prices, the items would be poor quality, but was pleasantly surprised when they arrived.

Tophatter is a pretty good Auction Site. They do a good job of responding to problems and take care of them quickly. For the most part the vendors are good, and they do a decent job of weeding out the bad ones. Most of the products are great, had had a couple bad ones, but Tophatter personnel are great about getting it taken care of. All in All not a bad place to shop.

I bought what I thought was a silver bracelet. I waited three weeks for it and it was a piece of junk. It looked like a homemade piece of crap and definitely not worth the $17 I paid. Product looked nothing like the picture. Flimsy, junky and distorted shape. Stay away... I will never use this site again. Junk! Kiss that $17 goodbye. False advertising... legal way to steal your money.

I am so happy and lucky to have found such a great site. With a low income that I have it enabled me to get gifts for my family for Christmas and Birthdays. There was only one ring I had to return as the stones fell out. That was a gift for myself so I did not feel bad at all. Thank you for being there..

In most of my orders I am very satisfied. A couple I found cheaper ( without bidding). I can see in having to pay for some items to be returned but mostly items that are not valued at the price advertised should not cost the buyer in returning that item and also it should not cost the buyer if the wrong item is shipped.

With regards to your return concern, please note that, Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
