I have ordered several things (15). 2 of my items were never received. According to tracking they were delivered to my mailbox. Tophatter just says tough. I am checking with the Post Office, but without a delivery guarantee, you are out of luck. The other thing they do is show 4 of something, so you bid on it to find out it was only 1. Stay away!. Most of the items on there are junk and from China made for American's (cheap).
Every item I have ordered has been described perfectly, and is of great quality. I only had one item that was never delivered, but was informed I would be refunded the amount. Where can you get such great items for yourself, gifts for others, and instant refunds? Love the site!

I Love... Tophatter's. I have won so many beautiful items. Watches, Rings, Clocks, Shoes, Night Gowns, Speakers, and lots of Jewelry to mention a few. Yes, I do understand the return policy, however when you are under the impression that it is 2 cars with a track and it's Christmas time, you think to maybe 'wait' for the track to come in another shipment. When all the festivities are over and you realize that your Grandsons do Not have a really awesome present, the 30 days to send it back are long gone.

I find that quite a few of the items are not exactly as advertised. You Really have to look at the sizes of some of the items as well, what is included. I. e. Sure looked like I was bidding on a "Track with cars" for my 2 grandsons (bought 2), and all that came were 2 cars? Quite useless, if you ask me. Where's the track? I can't find it.
Shipping does take a while.
Prices - if you win a decent bid - are great, however, it seems that the same people are bidding on Exactly the same thing I am each and every time. Is there a block of people in your employ, who are continually checking the bids, so that the bid goes higher and higher? I used to keep bidding, but then it seemed like it was a game on the other end. I stop when I see the same name(s) on an item who were bidding agains me on the previous item(s). Just my opinion.

Cost is more to send back than I paid. I did contact Kingston and gave them all my ordering info and screen shots and photos of the cards.

I'm sorry to hear our services didn't meet your expectations.
Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. On our platform, refund without return or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide a refund without return or some store credit to offset some of the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer's expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller's return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.
Unfortunately, you've requested returns in excess of the threshold, and we are unable to provide more free returns at this time.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.

Tophatter is a "Marketplace": https://tophatter.com/terms that connects buyers with sellers, and sellers ship items through the postal service. Anytime a package is confirmed Delivered to the correct location through a valid tracking number, we do ask that shoppers follow up with their local post office for more details.
The USPS uses scanners which log a carrier's GPS location, and an inquiry to the local post office should be able to help track down the package's true location. The post office's tracking is more robust than the tracking available online, so if this ever occurs, please ask the post office for their expanded tracking details. After providing documentation from the post office a full refund can be processed.
