Out of 19 products ordered and 2 still to come... only 3 items have really been very nice. One item is a watch that arrived with a broken stem but still works which makes that a 4th item. All the other items arrived damaged or did not look like the item advertised. I just found out that Tophatter has a limit to how many prepaid return labels they will give you. Which when you are selling "crap" like they do... there should be no limit! Marcy D.

Most experiences have been positive but the facial hair trimmer unable to pull apart to insert battery
I won the bid and when I went to pay I needed a size 7 and all you had was a 5 or a 9 if I knew that I would have not have bid on it what can a person do with a ring that is to small or to big.

I am not a shopaholic but recently found a new shopping app called Tophatter and it is addictive! Not only do you find great prices, good quality but their auction method makes it loads of fun 24/7. Definitely giving it the thumbs up and a top review! If you have not tried this I highly recommend you check this one out!

I Just recently found Tophatter and I have already made a lot of great purchases and received some already and have yet to be disappointed with any purchase. You have the chance to bid on some great things and you can always set a reminder if you lost a bid on something and Tophatter lets you know when the item you are interested in will be up to bid on again. I suggest if you want to chance on a great deal and a chance to bid on something and get it for a great price, give Tophatter a try, you wont regret it.
I have bid on a coulpe items. I received one and it is total crap. Not only that but you you can get many items on this site way cheaper on ebay and even some on Amazon. Do your homework. Do trust this site,

Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.

I'm very sorry to hear that items on Tophatter didn't meet expectations, and thank you for your review. I'm happy to provide more details about our return policy.
Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller. Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller’s address to return the item, paying for their own return postage with valid tracking number.
On our platform, refunds or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns. For internationally located buyers, we provide some store credit to offset the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer’s expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller’s return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.
Tophatter’s return policy is in-line and considered standard among the industries’ competitors. Marketplaces, as an industry, institute thresholds for the number of free returns offered, to curb abuse.
