I love everything except not being able to communicate with the seller. For example, a seller sends me the wrong item, they still have it, but the buyer ends up returning the wrong item and only getting a refund instead of the correct item. Next time I see the item I want, I might have to get into a bidding war to get it. This could easily point to fraud as the seller "could" purposely send the wrong item if the item did not sell for as much as they wanted and then relist it! This lack of communication is ripe for fraud!

Please do know your voice is heard, I personally sent an email to the manager about the ability to offer exchanges/replacements. Because we aren't the seller of the item and don't have access to the seller's inventory I'm not sure of the challenges that might come with this.
As part of our quality assurance process, our system detects and applies strong penalties to sellers with higher than average return rate, and individual items exceeding the rate will no longer be scheduled on our platform.
Buyers also have the option to rate their delivered items. Rating items is important because 1.) other buyers will be able to review the average rating on products before they bid, and 2.) items rated consistently low will automatically stop being scheduled on the platform. For these reasons we encourage you to rate the products you have purchased, although doing so is not required.

I like the format. You have to know about what you are bidding on. Some product is good some is crap. I have gotten approximate 10 items with two being junk. I know I should not be expecting to much for the price that you pay. All in all I will give 4 1/2 stars.

I am an online shopper, I adore the auction that TopHatter does, Once you win, you pay and the shipping cycle begins. In most cases shipping is fast. China takes a little longer but that's to be expected. If there is a problem with an order, no hesitation, immediate reimbursement to your account.

I have enjoyed the "shopping" experience on Tophatter since approximately 2015. They have some beautiful jewelry, neat items such as a monocular, car cameras, helmet cameras, hand held games and consoles, pocket watches, hair accessories and the like. They have so many items you could not name them all including televisions, tablets, etc. The prices cannot be beat! I love the thrill of bidding on those particular items I am interested in and if I am looking for something in particular and don't have time to sit and bid, I jump online to Tophatter do a quick search and purchase the item I am wanting. The sellers try to package the items so they are not damaged during shipping and most items arrive sooner than expected. Some items ship for free, however, those that do charge shipping, it is usually a minimal fee and you always know if you have to pay a shipping fee when you bid on the item. Tophatter, in my opinion, is the best bidding site I have ever encountered.

There is NO real person to talk to and no one reads their messages! I have been blocked for 24 hours for items I did not bid on. Item changed in midbid and eneded up with something I was NOT bidding on. Fb page says contact customer support-bwhaha there isn't one!

Like this and have been pretty happy with my experience except when you bid for something and win it at the lowest price and the seller backs out. This has happened 3 times to me and say they are out of the item but then comes up for auction over and over again. You have to really check what it is in the description because what is pictured may not be exactly what you think your getting. Overall its been good

Ive ordered everything from cameras to clothing and the one time I had a tiny problem they issued a refund immediately! It was so great not to get that it will be 4-6 weeks policy quoted at me. Im going to be shopping at Tophatter a lot!

A couple of years ago I started using Tophatter. Loved it. Last few months almost all of the products have been junk! All the clothes would nearly fit a preschooler!

I have bought 30 items. One item a pen,, mail said it was delivered. It wasn't. I reported it was not delivered to this house. The answer was cant do anything. I said fine, let me at least buy one. It looks like an Item I would use. Nothing good has cone of all this

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
