On the whole I have been very pleased with items received, but there have been several that were misrepresented or had poor quality. Several packages were damaged in shipment, which I blame the shipper and not Tophatter.

Not good business to decieve peopl. I bought i thought a complete faucet but instead i only recieved the air rator which i can buy for alot cheaper in Home Depot

There were just too many things to try to return them all. For instance, purchased Wonder eye cream and every time I use it, I have problems with my eyes. Even had to go to the doctor because something caused blurred vision, even though I was careful to not get it actually in my eyes.
I just know better than to place any more orders. About the only thing that I have been able to use was some of the jewelry and even some of that causes my ears to break out (pierced earrings). The items are pretty, just have had too many issues with so many of the items.

I guess you get what you pay for. I recently acted stupid and spent over $297 USD on various things. Some of these are ok. Others are so cheaply made, some didn't even work or were not as I thought they would be but it's my bad for doing this. The bidding was a little addictive so I kind of went nuts. It won't happen again. I think out of the entire list of things I bought, maybe 4 things I'm actually able to use so for about $15.00 worth of use, I spent almost 300 dollars. Oh well.
I bid on a 29cm transforming remote control car from B Mart, the item I received was 13cm long, was not remote controlled, and broken. They offered me a refund of $12 of which I paid $17, I did not want a refund, I wanted the item I bid for and won.

I really appreciate the expertise that is utilized with this organization. Bidding is easy. Product is shipped quickly. Problems are few and resolution of those dilemmas is expeditious. All in all an incredible experience and a very good comapny to do business with. I would highly recommend that you give it a try. It is fun too.

About 50% of what I have purchased has been of usable quality. Some vendors are fair and happily refund; however, some require you to pay for return of their defective merchandise to China. The amount of time repackaging the item and taking it to the USPS is not worth the refund, My time is more valuable.

Overall a very good experience. Some items not as decribed, plastic electronic lighters not metal. Some items still have not been recieved from orders months ago. Great way to get gifts. I covered all birthdays and christmas for everbody. Couple of jewlry pieces turned to base metal within a week. Have to be careful with sizing, ordered the shoulder cover due to problems with neck, shoulders, and upper back, in xl. When recieved would fit a 10 yr old. Will be back on for more purchases.
So I'm pretty sure the positive reviews were written by employees of top hatter, because this site has fraud in mind when making a sale.
Nothing more than cheap flea market knockoffs.

I appreciate that whenever I receive a product that doesn't meet my expectations of good quality Tophatter refunds my money even though the seller refuses to let me return the product or refund me.
Bought a TV antenna- does not work unless you also purchase a converter- why does it show - just connect to back of tv and it works?

I have found it is very fast paced but still fun enjoy bidding but some of the sellers do not ship items don't know why they put items up to sell and not ship them

Over all dealings are good but responce some times is slow and not helpfull. I have tried to print return lables but they print out over size of a full sheet and can not make it to size needed so stuck with a product is for crap or broke. I have sent notice of it but no reply. Other times when bidding and I am winning time count down ended and just hangs their then comes back 20 - 30 seconds sold to someone else or I make a bid as 2nd call starts and it does not take it or looks like it is and then says so&so winner. Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
