Love top hatters! New things all the time, my favorite part is the fun jewelry! Sometimes you hv to beware of some items you buy because they are cheap. If u hv to return, you have to pay for shipping and it cost way to much.

I'm happy to provide more details about our return policy. Tophatter will always process refunds for buyers upon receiving a valid tracking number from them indicating that the order has been returned to the seller.
Tophatter offers Buyer Protection in the form of a 30-day Easy Return policy that will either: 1.) refund the buyer without return needed, 2.) provide the buyer with a prepaid return label, or 3.) present the buyer with the seller’s address to return the item, paying for their own return postage with valid tracking number.
On our platform, refunds or prepaid return labels are provided to U.S.-based buyers until the buyer hits a threshold for free returns.
For internationally located buyers, we provide some store credit to offset the cost of returning the item at their own expense until the buyer hits the threshold.
The acceptable return threshold is continuously calculated as a percentage of the buyer's total purchases. Once this threshold has been met, the cost of returning the item to the seller with tracking will be at the buyer’s expense. When this happens, it is explained in the email buyers receive when they request a return, that they are responsible for the return shipping cost, and the buyer is provided with the seller’s return address to facilitate the successful return of the order.
Tophatter’s return policy is in-line and considered standard among the industries’ competitors. Marketplaces, as an industry, must institute thresholds for the number of free returns offered, to curb abuse.

I like the bidding.
Every time I had any problem with any merchandise I received a full, immediate refund. No questions asked.
This was controlled by Tophatter. I tried to talk with a quadcopter vendor but was refunded immediately.
When a merchandise deal looks too good to be true, it might be.
Read the descriptions carefully. Flashed is not gold plate and gold filled for $2 isn't gold filled by any American definition.

I will Not use this app anymore. Or buy anything from it. It is all crap and a rip off. Everything I have bought has been broken as soon as I received it. Everything is crap from here please do not buy. Buyer beware!
I have purchased several items from Tophatter. If I had any issues with the merchandise I purchased they were quick to make things right.
I really like this Tophatter place, can get some unusual stuff at a very reasonable price! So come on lets bid!
Reason 4. If not paid when you request to pay later. Cancelled. If paid on Friday it should give till midnight. And your system that except payments is always off line. This bothers me. Many tomes I have tried to pay and for some reason your system is down.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
