Sorry but some of your sellers are not honest and alot of items ate nice but others are not good or honest people are bidding way to much on coins that are represented as rare baseball cards no value alot of items are poor quality. Items from china always have issues

Good place for people that are homebound and do their shopping online. The prices are great because you can bid on items and stop if the price goes over what you want to spend. The only downside is that the shipping can sometimes be very slow.

Im actually very disappointed with my purchases and might not participate in the bidding as much. It seems that the items I win are not as expected, doesnt fit, not the same as described, etc. Ive had to return items or just bite the bullet and keep it even though I dont like it. I dont believe the description is accurate with the actual products. Plus, you dont get a lot of time to review the products before the bidding is complete. Therefore, you end up bidding on junk or things that are not as advertised, etc. I like the concept, but so far, not the products (as you can see all my refund requests, etc.).

I like Tophatter but sometimes the description does not match the delivered product. I know that I have the option to send the product back, however the return costs takes away from the overall cost of the item. Quality control, if possible, should be implemented.

"Fitted" sheet doesn't fit properly and actually has a seam in it. Ad did not say that it was microfiber - reread it multiple times b4 ordering to make sure it wasn't, but was 100% microfiber. Poor quality. Some of the pillowcase seams were left not sewn. When I tried to leave feedback on Tophatter's site, amazingly the webpage refused to load when I gave it one star. I tried many, many times over. This was my first (and probably last) experience with Tophatter!

I ordered a refurbished dell computer only to find out the hard drive would not work. Even took it to be repaired but unable to repair. I paid $54 for nothing. It has been 2 months. There is NO good way to get a response or a phone number to call. They are selling broken computers. I shipped computer back in original packing.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
