For the most part, 85% of my purchases have been positive. I will continue to shop for things I might be interested in.
Many of the items you sell come from China. The items tend to be short on updates and more than an acceptable amount never show. I will be reducing or stopping my buying in the future due to unreliable shipping times. You need your quality control to address this issue and remove those vendors that are consistently late or not sending items at all. Your reputation is taking damage due to the vendors that either fail to send items or send them in a way that any date you set for delivery is not reliable. I am waiting for multiple items at the moment that are two to three weeks late.

It is a good experience, but there are a few things that could be introduced to improve it.
For example, there should be a way to save items and/or sellers without using Reminders. Reminders send email notifications -- but I would like to keep items and sellers I am interested in WITHOUT getting constant emails every time they come up for sale. This would enable me to consider the items I want when I have the money or check sellers for new items they carry without daily email Reminders.
Another thing that would be nice is a way to question sellers about their items -- for example, to ask if an item comes with any documentation for using it (or if the documentation is in English) or what the dimensions of an item are if not mentioned in the write-up shown. I realize that these superfast auctions do not allow time for responses, but if the seller is selling the identical item over many days, it would help encourage bidding on those items.

We value suggestions from shoppers on Tophatter and I will pass along your suggestion to allow saving sellers vs setting reminders, great suggestion by the way.
We don't offer the ability for buyers and sellers to directly contact each other through an unstructured format. We did offer the option in the past and found it didn't work well as we ran into issues such as seller and buyer conversation not being pleasant. We also ran into issues with seller giving wrong information on Tophatter policies and found that overall support was best handled by Tophatter staff.
I do understand this creates challenges asking sellers for additional information about products, sorry for the inconvenience. The best thing to do is read the item description by clicking on the image of the item for all pertinent information.
There are some options you can choose from if the item has not yet shipped.
Visit "*My Orders*": https://tophatter.com/invoices then choose from the possible available actions:
1) Change my order" (For up to 2 days after payment or until shipped) allows you to change the color or size selection, if selections were offered and are still available.
2) Request to pay later" (For up to 3 days after winning or until canceled) allows you to ask for up to 7 days to pay for an unpaid purchase.
3) Request a refund" (For up to 4 days after payment or until shipped) allows you to ask the seller to stop shipment and refund the order.
4) Change shipping address" (For up to 5 days after payment or until shipped) allows you to request a change of address.

About a month ago I thought I got a great deal. When package arrived I was empty. Instead of getting item my money was refunded without my choice. I've also in the last week had 4 outstanding deals refunded refunded to me again with out it being my choice! I wanted what I PAYED for. Is what Tophatter is? Get a great deal just to get your money back later? Thinking about going to WISH

I have been shopping with Tophatter for many months. I love the variety of the products. It is great that it is a 90 second auction, you know very quickly if you won. I have referred many friends and family members to the site we have now become Tophatter addicts!
After you learn what's what and who you can trust. I ordered (won at auction) a smart watch, It didn't come with a sim card. But you could set the time on it and several other functions, it was worth the price. If it had stated it didn't come with a sim card I wouldn't have bought it. As for the silver coins some are clads some are advertised as. 999 pure silver are much smaller than pictured the only the mercury dimes (common dates) are good, At 6,00 shipping not a good deal.

Most electronic items cheaply made, Shipping from China is very slow, return policy is, quality is what you would expect for the price. Lot of incompatibility with newer devices.

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
