I have had a good expierence with tophatter. My only problem is sometimes the items are not fully up to par standards, i have been quite upset with the craftsmanship a few times. These items are not worth the time of day or my time to go through the hassle of buying, but it is hard to tell from a pic what you are getting

People, go to Aliexpress.com or Banggood.com or alibaba.com or any other Chinese site and you will find your item for 1/10th of what you are paying on tophatter.com
My experience with this site has been nothing but horrible. Customer service is bad, the products are mostly bad, the overall experience is terrible.

One of the great aspects of bidding on Tophatter is you pay what you want for item that do not have reserved prices. You can bid as high or as low as you want and stop bidding at anytime. If you find an item cost more than you are willing to pay, you can set a reminder for the item by clicking on the heart icon. You will receive a notification when the item is back up for auction. I recently received a product I ordered through Tophatter that was not as described. I responded to a request to give a review of that item. The item was still usable, however I did not get the multiple color selection described, and the cost to return it would have been more than the item itself. Tophatter's Customer Support was on top of their game and issued an immediate refund. I was shocked at how positive they responded to my review alone. Awesome experience!
Is one excellent way to play and in meantime to make one very good purchase. I love it! Stay in not less then 5 days in the week
ON several occasions i have ordered something and received something else. Granted i get a refund but i didn't make the purchase to wait for shipping only to have to get a refund. With the amount of issues it makes it hard for me to want to be on the site.

I have made numerous purchases. So many items take so long to receive that I thought I wouldn't get them at all! 2 of the items were a bit disappointing... 1 was nothing like the picture I bid on... the other had nothing written in English. However, that being said, I continue to come back as the pros have outweigh the cons :)
I love this site and while on it often. I have purchased many items and a few of them I have purchased three or four because I'd the compliments I have received so I have purchased those same items as gifts!
First, you do not have to pay to bid. Second, all the items I have won have been exactly as advertized. I am very pleased with this site and check for items of interest daily!

I have ordered a lot of items and it seems I get broken or wrong items. I was supposed to get silver twisted hoops instead I got big over hoops. I also had to change a ticket for a size but still got the original size ordered.

They always correct the sellers problems. I have bought things for a couple of years just here lately I have had to talk to them about some of their sellers... they got my refunds immediately

I have successfully bid on and won 100's of items. My biggest complaint with them is nowhere do they require the sellers to state whether or not the ship to certain USA addresses. In my case, Alaska. When I "win" on larger ticket items the sellers very often just refund my money stating they don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Fair enough. THEN SAY SO IN YOUR AD! Even after contacting Tophatter customer support numerous times on this issue, they can't seem to get their sellers to state so in the ads. It is super annoying. In the last case the seller refunded my money stating they were out of stock. What kind of scam is that?

Sellers have the ability to ship items from any location of their choosing, and some ship from multiple locations to get items to you more quickly. Therefore we do not show a seller's location on item listings, and instead provide an expected range of time to delivery.
I'm terribly sorry to hear the seller failed to honor your sale. This is definitely against Tophatter seller guidelines. When a buyer is refunded without prior consent the seller is automatically penalized, so this won't go unnoticed. Again, my apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. Thank you.

A lot of the items on this site could be obtained on other sites with half of the hassle. This site doesn't give a detailed look at all the items you bid for.
Answer: There is also the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION that can help with these types of problems

Answer: Justin you are absolutely correct. I find out the hard way. I had my own auction with nice AUTHENTIC designer items and cosmetics (Becca, Cargo, Smahbox, Too Faced, etc). I lost big time. $40 Cargo palette sold for $10; it cost me $15. Items that I started higher to cover my cost never sold. I still had to pay fees for the item being listed. A $200 Calvin Klein purse sold for $20; it cost me $80 wholesale. Run!
Answer: If you end up buying a few items from the same seller they can do a combined shipment but you rarely get the same buyer items since they only let the sellers sell 10 items a day. It is different for the sellers that have their own auctions.
Answer: You will notice the same names no matter the day, time etc. Bidding against you very often. Is it a coincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.
Answer: Depends on what you are selling. Yes, a lot of items go unsold in the jewelry and accessories categories... as well as others. Coach and Michael Kors and other designer brands, not much goes unsold, because here's the catch - - you pay fees on the starting bid. TH wants everything to start at $1. So you get punished if you start higher as to not get screwed by a low purchase price. Say you buy a designer bag for $120. If you start that bag at $100, you're already paying over $10 in fees. **IF** you can manage to sell it for a profit, there are still the commission and bank fees. If you start it at $1, you're barely paying any listing fees but it might only sell for $80 (or less!). So, less fees, but you lost your ass on the item. It's messed up. Most sellers have put in their time to see if they can make a profit or to see if TH will change, but they all seem to end up leaving. I'm convinced the only ones who stay to sell there are the counterfeit or crappy quality sellers who are buying items for next to nothing, because that seems to be the only way to make a profit there these days. I would go the ebay route if you're looking to sell.
