I bought this as a gift for kids, but the product was very low quality and did not taste good. Then I tried to cancel and they wouldn't let me. Customer service is terrible.
Buyer beware! If you sign up for a subscription service, you will NOT be reminded about it before it debits your account. And they will not refund you your money if this happens. They prey on customers who don't remember something they subscribed to 6 or 12 months prior to the next renewal. This is shady business & a terrible way to treat customers. So disappointed.
The annual subscription is $528 USD. I purchased one year and clearly indicated the annual subscription should be suspended; and surprisingly the system automatically processed the payment for the subsequent year; I wrote the email ASAP upon being advised for the renew, but the customer service refused for the refund. The system never indicated of where to cancel the subscription and the customer service will enforce you to be on subscription year by year. I have canceled the subscription but will never come back for the service.
I did not recieved my products, nor my money back. The products were returned to them and they refuse to give me a refund. It`s a scam. And customme4 support only give you standard answers. Do not reccomend

False advertising: I did not realize that I would be automatically resubscribed to a three month subscription without being notified. When I contacted customer service to see if I could get a prorated refund (as I already received a box I was not planning on purchasing) I got no help and no solution. This is poor customer service and unhelpful to a situation I was not informed of. I do not recommend this service. Poor communication and poor customer service
Loved it. Was so excited to open and see all the Japanese goodies. Usually get to travel to Japan every year but due to covid it hasn't been possible... luckily got this gifted and excited to dig in to these snacks
After being taken round in circles by customer service (trying to get my refund), I decided to just wait for package instead. Never came. So no package, no refund

I took their Premium 12 Month Prepay Plan. It was ok for the first 10 boxes even if they did not honor the content all the time...

I decided to wait and they told me they would get back to me.
2 month later, they tried to renew my subscription but fail (I have trust issues and for good reasons). Of course they have a loyalty program and since they could not renew my plan I lost my benefits but whatever.
14 month later, I contact them to get some news and I'm told nothing has changed; if I want my 32$ box, I need to fork 12.5$ of shipping per box. I asked them to refund the last 2 boxes but was denied.
I've since switch to another more authentic Japanese snacks box and now I can compare and Tokyotreat was worse than I thought; the new box is better in quality, the shipping is free WITH tracking (optional and costly at Tokyotreat) and guess what... JapanPost works.
Don't waste your time with TokyoTreat and have an unpleasant experience; there is so much better out there.
Franckly all this is not worth my time but I'll post it around to warn people.
Loved the whole deal - price was good, fast delivery and great customer service - we had no problems at all!
Also there was stuff for the whole family to enjoy - even my picky three year old!
This was my first box and I can only say it's amazing, I really love the flavors and the experience of know that your box arrive in less than a month it's exciting. Whitout any doubts I already grow up my subscription! :D
Great first box! Loved all the different treats including the weird lemon crisp! There was a lot of crisps this months box and i would have preferred a mixture of sweets but overall it was good :D
What an experience! Getting to try out these Japanese lollies; although sometimes I'm having to research to figure out the flavours; but nonetheless, absolutely yummy and enjoyable and I can't wait to see what's in my next box!
I was skeptical of this at first because i was always like "I dont want to waste money on something I wont like" but honestly im so glad i did this! The shipping is quick and so far ive loved 90% of my boxes! ( some things were seaweed flavor which wasnt very good lol) but highly recommended!
There is always a great variety with every box I receive. I haven't come across anything that I didn't like. A+ customer service and subscription quality.
Tokyo treat is my favorite time of the month! I'm never disappointed with the variety of snacks and interesting flavors. There are so many things I never would of tried before if not for my Tokyo treat box!
Tokyo treat is a great way to try all kinds of goodies from Japan, every month when it comes my husband and I have a great time together going through everything and trying new treats. It is well worth the money and I definitely recommend trying it.
I've gotten quite a few boxes... 12 to be exact and all of them are chalk full of fun and yummy snacks! I wold highly recommend Tokyo Treat to anyone who loves to eat snacks!
After several months of subscribing, we ate still having lots of fun trying new snacks from Japan each month. Each unboxing is like a birthday or Christmas! If you are a foodie who is frustrated at not being able to travel to Japan to experience their wonderful cuisine, this is a fun foodie monthly treat!
