The company enjoys a generally positive reputation for its unique subscription boxes filled with a delightful variety of Japanese snacks, praised for their quality and reliable, fast shipping. Many customers appreciate the thematic approach and informative booklets included with each box, enhancing their experience. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly issues related to auto-renewals and a lack of responsive support when problems occur. While many customers express satisfaction with the product, frustrations about billing practices and inadequate assistance suggest a need for improved customer service protocols to enhance overall satisfaction.

Tokyotreat do great subscription boxes.
Each month the box has a drink normally limited to Japan plus a big selection of sweet and savoury treats.
Most months there are kitkats with an unusual flavour combination but they are always most excellent.
The savoury snacks are so tasty with umami, salt and sour tastes perfectly balanced.
The first Box arrived with some delay because of ttye covid situation but now it is super fast, I received my new box only a week after payment and needless to say that the content is of course excellent! Very nice!
Just got our 1st Tokyo treat box and there are so many choices! Definitely something for everyone. Will definitely order again next month.
Hi, have just loved all the packages I have received: D At first you were a little worried when you read some had not received the packages. But has always received all the packages and is super happy. They are always just as nice to write and ask question to.
This company basically scammed me.
I have been waiting for my april box for soon half a year, and the only so-called help i get from customer support is them just asking me to "wait a little longer". They have been telling me to just wait a week longer for the past three months. Customer support have repeatedly sent me copy-paste messages, never really answering my questions or even trying to compensate for the delay. Even though this covid situation affects international shipping in general, this company has been so unprofessional, blaming everything on the circumstances but refusing to actually make up for any delays (ex. Was asked to pay EXTRA to get my box shipped to me "quickly"). I've been using many other services requiring international shipping during this pandemic and they have been able to deliver, even the companies situated in Asia. So I don't see why this company can't do the same.
TLDR: This company is a scam. I've waited for soon half a year and the box has still not arrived. Customer support doesn't help you at all and is very impersonal. Super unprofessional company that i can honestly never recommend to anyone.
I love my box every month! It brings a new taste of treats with it! Not too many chocolate sweets and a good number of savory sweets as well. Plus the drink that gets sent is super delicious. My favorite treat from the October box was the Creme Brûlée milk tea! I forgot to snap a picture of the October box before I dug in but here's a picture of the September box which gives a good idea of what comes in a box
Tokyo treat is the best subscription box I've ever gotten, if your a foodie addict and like to try new stuff, tokyo treat won't disappoint! Coming all the way from Japan, It's the best thing ever
I've been an on and off subscriber of Tokyo Treat for years and I've never been let down. They always pick an interesting selection of goodies, many of which I've wanted to try after seeing them online. In fact, the last box had Japanese Nacho Cheese Doritos which I had wanted to try since 2003 so I can scratch that off the bucket list!
We missed out on going to japan this year so my brother got this for my daughters birthday!
Honestly so well priced. It's fun and oh so delicious! Will definitely be signing up for premium next
I have recently recieved the tokyo treat may box whit some awsome sakura party treats and i must say it was exactly what i expected it to be. Totally recommended.
I just opend my first box and I am really happy. So much fing en yummy things. I can't wait until the next box!
Only sad thing is that my free kitkat wasn't in the box. But I can't be too mad over a free product.
I am a big snacker and I like to try new things so the concept of the TokyoTreat box really interested me. Through having the subscription, I have been able to discover new favorite snacks that I will purchase in the future. The downside is that a majority of the snacks are duds in my opinion and before I thought I was getting my money's worth but some of the snack sizes and portions are so tiny, I'm surprised they count it as an item when they could have included at least two packets rather than just a single pack. Luckily I have not had any shipping problems like some of the other reviewers. Even though I do not plan on renewing my subscription, I thought this was a good way to try snacks I wouldn't have initially purchased myself and worth trying at least once.
I've been a subscriber since June 2020. So far I've received three boxes and I've had a lot of fun trying all the different snacks! My first box took longest to arrive (5 weeks when estimated delivery time was 3-5 weeks) but the other two have been quicker, taking 3,5 weeks and just 6 days to reach me. I'm eagerly waiting for the next one already!
Do note that the subscription renews automatically if it's not canceled. You can easily check your next billing date in your profile after you've subscribed. :)
This quickly became my favorite snack subscription. Great variety and quality for the price. Also fast shipping, especially considering its international during the pandemic.
Has boxes shipped out in April and May. Now the end of July and still have nothing.
TokyoTreat will also charge you as they see fit for extra "express shipping costs" which you cannot refuse. These are supposed to ensure the parcel arrives in 10-14 days, but its now 3 months since the May box was shipped and 4 months since April box was shipped so clearly that was a scam.
Have contacted TokyoTreat multiple times about this, however they have said point blank that they will NOT refund me, give me vouchers, send a new box or anything. They take no responsibility for the lost parcels or scam shipping costs. Am now having to go through Paypal to get money back.
I truly cannot tell you strongly enough to absolutely avoid this company at all costs. I have never has to deal with such a terribly company ever before.
I bought a subscription in March. I was waiting for two months to get the first box (just because of COVID delays). It was worth the wait. Products are very unique, you can get sweet, salty and spicy ones in the same box. They have also streak section, where subscribers can get rewards, coupons for next orders. After 6th and 12th streak you'll pay less for your boxes (I'm on my way :d) . By extending your subscription you're able to get bonus products in on of your boxes, I think it's cool. Support is very friendly and responding fast (even in pandemic crisis). Now, boxes are coming faster too. It takes 3 weeks to arrive to Poland. I love my journey with TokyoTreat!
I love TokyoTreat boxes! They are so great! I definitely recommend these. The price is a good price as well.
Answer: It is one of the worst ones out there. If anything goes wrong they refuse any sort of customer service. No refunds, no placements even if the box never arrives.
Answer: It usually takes days to get a response & only through email. Quite frustrating.
Answer: I had both TokyoTreat and a similar service at the same time, and I consistently found the value and variety of TokyoTreat to be better than the other subscription.
