Good experience

I was aware of the 30 day trial and someone picked up the phone on a Saturday when I called on day 30 which was nice. They talked me into keeping the membership for 2 weeks. I then contacted a chatter and wanted to cancel. She was nice and I decided to keep the membership. I wanted to add this review because I saw a lot of people didn't know about the trial period and I thought it was clear. I should mention that I like the products and the prices. I have switched from being a coffee drinker to a green matcha with unfiltered honey drinker. I like the service and how it changed what I consume

I Googled vitamins and came up with a whole page. They happened to be one of them. All I did was purchase a 20 dollar bottle of vitamins from them. Three weeks later I got a charge for $59.95. I did not see anywhere saying this was a membership. I can pay 20 dollars at the vitamin store down the street. Which I will be doing here on out. THIS IS A BIG SCAM! STAY AWAY.

I bought on thrive market supplements. A month later they charged me $59.95 without warning, when I confronted them about it and told them to delete my account, they said it was because they have a 30 day free trial (why didn't they warn me of that first?) and if you don't take action it will charge you automatically after the 30 days. No any warning! Just a scam Don't buy from this scam-site, there's way cheaper options to buy from that don't use shady "membership" fees. As soon as they get your credit card - they do whatever they want.

I ordered about $70 worth of items fromThrive and I never received them. Customer service wasn't helpful at all in retrieving the items and I was still charged for nothing! Canceling my membership was a nightmare! STAY FAR AWAY, seriously!

We live on the East Coast and have been Thrive Market members for about 2 years. Overall, we have been satisfied with Thrive Market. After reading the nasty negative reviews, we respectfully disagree with most of what is posted. It sounds like many of these people who have posted negative reviews are hard to please anyway. This company many not be 100% perfect but they have very good customer service and correct the mistakes they make. The company offers good foods at fair prices, and packs them very well with excellent cushioning for shipping. Most orders arrive in just a few days, securely packed and taped. We like the convenience, and 95% of the foods we have bought taste great arrived in clean & very good condition. Away with all those negative posts - don't believe them. It is important to remember that packages (ALL PACKAGES) can get damaged in transit, and sometimes the delivery drivers do not handle packages with consideration and care. This is not Thrive Market's fault, okay? So all you negative folks out there, don't be too hasty to give a nasty review when it is the shipping carrier you should be calling. Thrive Market is definitely NOT a scam. We give Thrive Market a solid review of 5 stars and we are happy with our purchases and our service. Good job Thrive Market and keep up the good work! We plan to continue ordering from your company. We totally disregard these negative reviews.

When I signed up for Thrive Market it was very clear that I would be charged for membership after my 30 day trial period. During this period, I ordered three times, using a great discount code on products that were already less expensive than any place else I could find. Very very happy with the entire experience.

Then just before my trial period ended, I read many bad reviews from this and another website. The most common complaints were that they did not know they would be charged a membership fee after 30 days, which I cannot understand as it was made very clear to me from the start. In fact, they even sent me an email reminding me that my trial period would end in 5 days and that I would be charged $59 if I did not cancel. The other common complaint was that it was impossible to cancel.

So to test this out I clicked on the "end your access" link in the email. It gave me a phone number to call, which I did the next day and the representative offered me three additional deals (15 day extension of the trial period, 6 month membership and $15 of $50 purchase). When I turned the deals down he immediately canceled my account. I did not feel at all pressured to stay signed up or accept the new deals. I was quite surprised at how easy it was to cancel. The only negative part was that I had to wait on hold for about 15 minutes before I could speak to anyone.

So that is my Thrive Market experience. I am very impressed by them and expect that I will reactivate my account with them in the near future.

It's a huge scam

I bought on thrive market once using a discount code, then that was it. Then a month later they charged me an extra $64 without warning, when I confronted them about it and told them to delete my account, they said it was because they have a 30 day free trial (why didn't they warn me of that first?) and if you don't take action it will charge you automatically after the 30 days. But they deleted my account and said they'd give me a refund, they did. But then charged me RIGHT AFTER again. Don't buy from this scam-site, there's way cheaper options to buy from that don't use shady "membership" fees. You can't even delete your account or cancel your membership on your own! You have to go through them? That in itself is a scam. Lets hope they don't charge me next month too (especially since when I checked the website again, my account and all my information was still on there!)

I have been emailing and calling in. I still can't seem to resolve canceling my membership. I had no idea such membership would be charged when I purchased my very first item on the site. Incredibly disappointed and worried that I can't get any help or service.

I've tried canceling my membership about two years ago, yet I still am repeatedly being charged for a membership. It's absolutely ridiculous at this point. I've called in to cancel about this at least two times already.

I bought amazing organic detox supplements for the best prices! Supper happy with it and its wired I just read some of the other views and it said they don't pack well? All of my packages from thrive market are packed very well. Anyways I told them I wanna cancel after I bought a few things and they were like "wait don't go"and I told them how I live in my car most of the time and I don't have any money I just wanted stuff to boost my immune system. And they were like well at least wait till u get ur package, so I did and I was in love so I bought another few things, and after my second purchase I asked to cancel again, and I called and they said no problem. And now it's 2 weeks later and I forgot about it AND I GOT A FREE PACKAGE IN THE MAIL (: (: a goodbye gift! It was the same package as my last one yaay thank you so much! It's so crazy how I thought they would have good reviews online but the reviews for them suck! Maybe they're actually reading them. Anyways when I have a home and steady income I am so gonna have a membership with them.
I really hope they don't charge me money at the end of the month the reviews are strange on here. But they made it pretty clear that my account is closed. I'm glad I had a great experience with them., they have such good cleansing organic supplements

They use OnTrac delivery, which means no one knocks or rings the bell when delivering. In San Francisco, this means even if you are home you will have no way of knowing a package has been delivered, so it will definitely get stolen off of your porch.

Their Customer Support folks must be somewhere international, because they only reply at around 3 am PST in my experience, and are the most inept support team I have ever seen.

I sent an email carefully and clearly outlining my situation, with order number and tracking info, and had to go back and forth over 6 emails to simply confirm my information. Their support rep literally did not read my email, and needed me to verify everything I had already said multiple times, across over 72 hours of correspondence.

I am just shocked. After my first order and the customer service nightmare I dealt with I asked for my account to be cancelled and a refund. Neither has been done 7 days later.

I was intrigued by Thrive Market because they had a lot of options I was not able to find locally. For me I did not find it to be a 'bait and switch' because they made it very clear that their website had a membership. Even when they partner with influencers the influencer DOES bring up that it is a subscription service on top of the fact that you are buying goods from them. For this I feel like some of the complaints that they have received here have been unwarranted because they are due to a consumer not fully understanding what they are signing up for - which is not the fault of the company as they make it clear during check out, on their website, on their subscription tab on your account that is a subscription service much like Hulu or Netflix - but with organic food.

I was happy to buy products from their website at a much more reasonable price but for me I could not afford a $60 membership fee on top of that the things I would be buying from their website would not be too often.

My issue that I had with them was when I tried to cancel my account. I explained that I was happy with the service but at this point in my life I couldn't afford to keep the subscription. The representative on the 24 hour chat then tried to say 'oh, you have two more opportunities to get 20% off your order!' and again I let them know that I would not be able to afford the subscription at this time. Then the representative tried to tell me about all the 'new things Thrive Market is doing and that I'd be missing out!'

My issue was that instead of just immediately accepting what I had asked of them they tried to continue to push me into a service that I decided I did not want. Before this exchange I would've possibly come back to Thrive Market because it is very paleo/organic friendly and offers things that otherwise I would not be able to find in my area. I believe that Thrive Market representatives have to follow a script for these sort of exchanges and I really wish they didn't. I didn't like feeling pressured to stay with a service I just wanted to cancel. So please Thrive Market - make it easy on your members to cancel and maybe the chance of them coming back will be higher.

1) They lie about the discount. I have registered an FTC complaint. $20 off is not "25% off"

2) They use OnTrac, otherwise known as OnCrack as a delivery service. No doorbell, no knock, boxes smell like they were shipped in a trash truck.

3) Potato chips are NOT packing material. Hey, dumbasses, you DO realize I can hit safeway of all places and get those chips for exactly the same price AND THEY ARE NOT CRUSHED?

3) You tell them to cancel and they treat it as a negotiation. Gonna be fun to tell my ba4k to reverse the charges.

Just another lesson in scammers selling feelgood bull$#*! and lying the whole time I guess.

Recommendation not good

I was lured into them with low prices but in small print they mentioned you will automatically be charged a membership fee. I didnt want to sign up for another membership club that I have to cancel at some point so I guess this was my fault but buyer beware.
Then I ordered product and it just never showed up. I want to order something and it show up without me having to investigate where it is. The order was damaged by the sender and I never got notified. So now I have to spend more time than it would have taken to go to the grocery store or order through Amazon. Cheap prices almost alway lead to cheap service!

Do not recommend

So a YouTuber I follow partnered with Thrive and they gave her followers a promo code for $20 off your first 3 orders. I thought cool I will try it. Tried it and didnt love it. For the price I was paying and the products I was purchasing it just wasn't worth it for me. So I wanted to cancel, no hard feelings just didn't want to continue. Long story short I took me a while to even figure out how to cancel. There is no "Cancel Membership" button, no you have to call, emial or chat. So I choose to chat as it seemed the most convenient for me. Well after 15 mins and being "politely" pressured into continuing my subscription, I think I have finally cancelled my trail membership.We will see at the end of the month if they try to charge me the anual $60.
I wouldn't go as far as to say they are a scam but they definitely are sneaky. Thrive, up your customer service and make canceling your trail membership easier! I should not have to spend a half hour searching and then having to be so damn persistent just to cancel a FREE trial membership! I might have come back because lets be honest it is convenient but I will not be renewing my account after this lousy customer service.

So, first, I need to state that this site, based solely on my experience, is that they are not a scam in any way. They make it super clear that this is a membership program and they give you 30 days trial, free shipping and discounts for the first three purchases.
Second, they do seem to offer decent prices for a select group of items.
Third, they don't really make as easy as they should to cancel. I tried to cancel immediately after I placed my first order as I had extensively checked their product line and there were only limited items I would buy. They refused and said I needed to wait until I received my first order. I then went on-line to cancel and I had to ask to cancel THREE times in the chat to get the membership canceled - that is a bit crazy.

Each brand we carry provides a manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP). In practice, some retailers will price higher than the MSRP (like local boutiques), while others will price lower. On average, our products are 25-50% below the MSRP, and are cheaper than other retailers 90% of the time. In regards to the membership, cancellation is easy. Never ever again

I bought 2 packets of seeds for $10, now I get a $60 yearly charge? Says it was free trial? I did NOT get any email notification that I would be charged neither I filled any form for a free trial.
I never do free trials because I know its a pain the b... to cancel them.
Very tricky sneaky...

I am blown away by all the people who place the blame on someone else. When you try a trial offer you must be on top of it, when you receive an email saying trial is almost over & you don't read it you are to blame. When you can't comprehend what you read you are to blame. So to all those people who don't have the $#*!in' brains to know this my heart does not bleed for you, stupidity deserves consequences. I really like them, they have always done right by me, so wake up.

Scammed me

Company scammed me. Literally. I cancelled my membership via their customer service and have the cancellation email. They charged me for a yearly membership for two years after that. Could only get them to refund one despite that. Do not trust these scammers. I filed a complaint through my state attorney general and you should too.

When I cancelled through their website, they sent me an email stating if I wanted to cancel I had to send them an email. I sent them the email saying I wish to cancel since they said SEND ONE EMAIL TO CANCEL. One of their customer service lackeys sent me another email asking again if I wanted to cancel, I responded saying yes I did want to cancel. They never did. They then refuse to acknowledge their part after repeated calls and emails and through their website customer service. If anyone has similar issues please message me regarding a possible class action lawsuit.

Love the products

My first 3 orders were each $20.00 off so that paid for my membership. I haven't had a problem and all the orders are nicely packed. My cats love the boxes!(haha) Many products are a better price than elsewhere which pays for itself! It can be so frustrating trying to find organic products at all in some stores let alone a half decent rate!
