Had a lot of back and forth with the customer representative - she only presented 1 solution when my order came in badly damaged (store credit) since the plant I ordered went out of stock. I explained that that isn't really a solution for me because I only wanted that one plant, so I don't want to spend more money buying plants I don't want. I suggested if they could send a planter as a replacement instead so I wouldn't have to place an order and pay for shipping, etc. - to no end. They finally caved and gave me a refund instead. Wish they would have been able to make exceptions
I ordered a sage green small orchid and in my original delivery received a white one. I put in a customer service request and they sent a replacement. When it arrived, it was a purple one. I still don't have the orchid that I ordered but figured it must not be meant for to be.
First time having a plant shipped and it work without a hitch. We had been lookin for this "tea tree" for quite awhile here in California. It was a great Christmas gift.
Ordered Christmas gifts and payed for expedited shipping so Santa would arrive in time (3 day delivery in a four day window). Arrived a week and a half later.
The inability to ship to California was poorly communicated. I found out last minute when I submitted the "pay" button.
I think it would have been nice to have overnight shipping or at least given the opportunity to pay for it. My plant was shipped even though I responded to the Sills email to wait until it warmed up a little bit. I am currently trying to save the peace Lilly but I'm nervous because it was pretty frozen upon delivery. Love this company but I think I'm going to stick to my plant buying in the summer months.
This was my first time ordering from The Sill and I couldn't be more pleased. Plants arrived on time, healthy, very well packed (including heating pads to protect them from our harsh winter temps), and more than met my expectations.
Shipping to michigan in december had long delay before a break in weather but the cacti seem to be doing well after arriving with heat packs
Delivery was very quick - much faster than quoted when placing the order. This was a gift and the recipient was very pleased with her new Lemon bush!
I sent the double orchid to my friend and she was thrilled with how full these flowers were and commented on how well packaged they came to keep them in perfect condition.
Happy with delivery but the note that I wrote to be attached to the gift was not received so the person I had the order delivered to had no idea who it was from.
I selected a plant and a pot to go with it - I wish it was more apparent during ordering that the pot and plant might ship at different times, because that was a surprise to me. I got two different shipping notifications that the pot and plant were arriving on different days to a client, which I find not as elegant of a gift. So when I contacted customer care, they then told me both items arrived together. So why then were the notifications of shipments separate? Causing panic when it wasn't accurate? Either way, not a great experience. Set the expectation up front.
Both the original and replacement orchids that I received were in poor condition. The Watercolor Orchid arrived completely damaged but The Sill immediately sent a replacement orchid. However, the replacement orchid also arrived damaged and in poor condition (the damage was not as bad as the first orchid). I decided to keep it despite the broken flower stems and poor condition of the flowers. Although The Sill is a good company I don't think that delicate orchids ship well
I ordered a 4' cat palm for my daughter for Christmas with my fingers crossed that it would be a happy healthy addition to her new home. It arrived ready to join the family. A million thanks for delivery on my expectations (and my daughters) with such a lovely plant.
Unfortunately, the gift card I purchased was not sent until after I circled back to the company and reported the delay. Once they became aware of the mistake, they immediately re sent the card.
Delivered as promised, but not as full as the one pictured. I understand it should continue to develop and bloom in the next month. The greens in the background were not as ample as the one pictured. What you are doing is difficult. I am happy with the order, but not hell yes, happy.
Lemon tree was amazing. The very small leaking box of dirt was 100% not worth the money. Just buy the plants. Healthy and full,

I ordered orchids as gifts for clients. Some of the plants arrived damaged, either from cold weather or improper handling. I let the Sill know, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get these items replaced. The customer service team was very helpful and quick. I was very pleased with the replacements and would order again.
