Clothing with saints and oder. I have return 2 items like it in the last week. I have received one of them back. IDK why was the item return to me as was in the gap return
Time.
From all the shopping that i did at RR i send back 99.9% back. That because oder and saints.
The clothing that site sale now are expensive. If you consigning with the site, you receive only 40%. Some times and most of the time. I have received like 4-10% for Designers item.
I don't consign with them any more. I will never shop there again. COME ON what is wrong? Only money? The plant is upside down. Wake up!
YOHJI YAMAMOTO Scarf came with Moth holes that ate my sweaters. I send the site photo to returned the item. They got back to me 3 month later after i had damaged to my clothing.
The "excellent. No signs of wear" sweater had 2 holes. The scarf was seeped in overwhelming perfume, so much so that it transferred to the sweater (with the holes). Old scents are a typical "used" issue, but it should be noted somewhere in the condition, or they should not accept the item to resell. This is, after all, the RealReal where you pay a premium for vetted items. Not vetted enough!
Soaked scarf for 72 hours in vinegars & baking soda, hand washed it, AND cleaned professionally. Stink won't come out. Waste of time, efforts, money. My purchase success rate with them is about 50/50. RealReal is a risk of your time.
I love the concept of The RealReal and any consignment/resale sight in general. My issue with The RealReal is their refusal to return items when request and their lack of transparency. I consigned several fine jewelry items a few months back (I have been both a consignor and customer of The RealReal previously). Most of the items sold, but a couple did not and when I saw the discounted list price I asked that the items be returned. According to the consignor contract, you are allowed to request that your items be returned at any time.
To keep this relatively short, it has been over a month and my items are still not returned. This seems like a common problem many other people face with this company. I was told today that my items may be "lost" and in such situations you must accept a payout of the list price less the consignment fee. The problem is that The RealReal can now pay me a fraction of what the item is worth, keep my item (I am certain if someone wanted to buy it they would have found it, so it's not lost), and list at a higher price and keep all of the money. This is totally wrong and unethical. If the company can't handle the logistics of returning items to consignors it should not be offered as an option.
Great products at a good price. Great selection and brands. Highly recommended for a good shopping experience.
Super friendly, responsive, and engaged help from Cesar at the Realreal. Solved the problem immediately and followed up via email when the call dropped due to bad cell service.
Customer service agents not consistent with returns etc... If you find that someone is not understanding you, hang up, and call again. If you are a consignor send your items to New Jersey, they will take items that the San Francisco site will not this is what I mean about inconsistency, or take your items to other resale sites.
I just went through my returned items and I have someone else's items. I looked at my sales page and you have someone else's items on there too. Doesn't give me any confidence in selling my belongings when I'm having to bring this to your attention and will have to inconvenience myself to return them.
I bought a LV handbag from the Real Real and it was in horrible condition the shoulder strap was literally hanging on by a thread and looked beat up. I would have never bought this bag if i knew the condition it was in but this site uses stock photos of the products listed. If they posted photos of the actual bag you could easily see the damage. In my opinion i would never have consigned this bag it is more than "gently used" and not in "good condition".
Messed up a few orders. Have taken full payment and then returned the items for sale online. Very first order they screwed up royally and didn't follow up... I had to open another account just to not miss the opportunity to purchase it. They have taken full payment and shipped a few items, then to only have some items (from the same order) returned for sale on the site. Eventually payment was returned, but when questioning the reasoning I keep getting some BS response that they will look into it and follow up. I have NEVER received follow up confirmation on ANYTHING, EVER! Overall, the problems with orders is disappointing and the customer service is absolutely atrocious. Many of the goods are so high priced it's pennies to get the items from the actual luxury stores (with a much better and reputable experience) I'm definitely only doing extreme discounted items moving forward, since I'm getting a $#*!ty service that isn't worth spending more. With the shipping charges, I'm not sure it's even worth the effort. Friends recommended this site highly, and I have been highly disappointed. Hope you can maintain some integrity with your brand. I'm not certain of the purpose of writing, everything else has gone unnoticed and unaccounted for, why would the feedback be any different?! LOL!
The ups international delivery is simply horrible, customer-unfriendly, lengthy, ineffective, expensive etc etc etc. each time it turns into a big problem. Would be great to have a choice of delivery options
One of the items had some trash in the pocket.
After purchasing several items, shoes, pants, a purse but mostly clothes, the second purse I choose didn't match 100% the image on the manikin. After notifying customer services and communicating via emails during five days and after I send a dozen pictures of the poor condition that bag was in they replied two days after complete silence, said they changed customer service representative and oh yes! The purse has scoffs " so therefore no refund.
That beat up purse didn't match the description, the image & size on manikin nor was it worth the money I paid for it. I think
I'll just stick to buying local vintage shops and the designer of choice online store.
I hope for better and more detailed descriptions. Sometimes very good isn't really good at alland on the other had I have got something that was marked as good and it was very good... I don't feel comfortable to buys bags cause I cannot return and cannot trust the rating a hundred percent. Over all I am happy. Good customer service.
Really happy that TRR values me as a customer. The service reps are not robots. They are empowered to think and help. Great job! I do not shop at many other places because the service is just lousy. Keep up the great work TRR!
Love your site and I use it often. However you need to get a handle on the length of time the customer has to wait. Amazon has trained us all to expect timely delivery. You guys take forever. I know you can do better. Everything else you do is great. How has this feature been ignored?
The issue hasn't been resolved so I feel that it may be premature to rate my experience at this time.
Hello I have an item missing from my shipment and I emailed customer service only to get no reply. Some items were very dirty.
The Real Real is the worst place for the customer service thus is the worst company. I returned my purchase in person at their store, and the staff took it as a new consignment. I have no power to train the staffs, nor to make it right and just pay the full refund. I have been exchanging many mails with their customer service and a few weeks later I am still not getting money back. They are not trying to be helpful, that is the impression I get. I may not get my money back at all, but the damage they made as a company is greater. Because this one single experience will spread by the word of mouth, Facebook, Instagram and all other platforms. The worst ever experience I've ever had. And the clothes I bought on their site had a weird smell I couldn't get rid of from my nose.
I'm small but not all that small. (I'm a size 6, sometimes 4). I bought three beautiful pieces at fabulous prices and prayed that they would fit or could be altered. They didn't fit and fixing them would have been prohibitive but I knew that TRR would accept returns and would credit me for whatever I' d paid. The measurements TRR supplies are helpful. The pictures are also helpful. But clothing is clothing and has to fit properly. TRR meets its promises.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!
Answer: Hi Samantha. The RealReal does sometimes ask for additional information from customers for a one time security check. Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Please feel free to reach out to us if this does not answer your questions or if you feel that the explanations provided were not applicable to your situation. You can reach out to our Customer Service Department at (855) 435 5893 from 8am to 5pm (PST). If you would like to speak to a supervisor directly, please feel free to ask for Caitlin from our NJ office. Answer: If you like to be frustrated, disappointed and want to take a few years off your life, then yes consign with the real real.
Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,
Answer: Hello, We are sorry to hear of your concerns. If you can please send us your order number or email address we will happily research this further.
Answer: Hi Frank, Thank you for reaching out. We apologize you have seen more negative than positive reviews. We would be pleased to advise you on our consignment process and share a little more insight about the RealReal.
Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
Answer: I have returned things with no hassle at all.
