If only I could give negative minus 5 stars. Buy at your own risk. They won't respond if there is a problem with the items. Waiting for over a week for a response regarding an item received with tears and not wearable. Offered 11.99 credit for something that cost 150 plus 50 postage.
I was very disappointed with the lack of size truth. I know that a size 8 can vary, which is why I order a size 8.5, and 2 of the 3 pairs of shoes I ordered were too small. The return instruction wasn't easy to find and when I did find the website only gave you 14 days to return the items and I missed the window of time to return it.
I ended up paying almost the double just because on the site there was no information on all hidden cost: tax, additional tax for international shipping, etc
I purchased a White blouse in which the description said condition was good. When it arrived it had yellow stains on it that were not visible by the photos posted on the website. I am unable to return it because it was final sale. I am not likely to purchase clothing again from your site.

I was told I could receive a store credit for my return and now I am getting no response from ANYONE! I would like my store credit for the $658 from my item. I don't know why I'm not hearing back but it's quite frustrating when that much money is involved.

I ordered a tree from Fast growing Trees. I was hopeful based on the reviews that it would be a healthy viable tree. The first on I received was gorgeous full and healthy upon arrival. I waited the allotted time and allowed the plant to acclimate. However after a week of acclimating the tree began to loose leaves at a rapid rate of 10-20 a day! It was given plenty of sunlight and watered as directed. I contacted the company and a replacement was sent. This is where it becomes even more aggravating. The tree that arrived is a travesty at best. It's bent over, won't stand up straight, all of its limbs are mangled and intertwined. No where near the look and beauty of the first plant I received. This is beyond aggravating especially considering the amount of money paid for the 5-6ft tree. Long story short I can't recommend this company as it's been nothing but a headache.
I ordered several items and was surprised at their arrival—the photos on the site did not accurately portray the purse and the sweater. And since there's a window before one can return items, I'm stuck with these two items; I gave them away. Also, it's unfortunate they don't mail to PO Boxes.

Loved every item, great shipping. Descriptions in the website are great and I felt like I knew exactly what I was buying.
Fast shipping however free shipping when you spend over a certain amount is better.
I like to shop The RealReal. Purchased this dress it was onsite looked everything what I like... color to style. Arrived. I put on but everything was not right. First the material looked cheap, wrinkled a lot and dirty. Overall it looked cheap. Normally I like Theory. Also I purchased two more dresses, Jill Sander and L. K. Bennet this transaction. My first try L. K. Bennet ( England). The fit is a little narrower to compare US size therefor slightly tight side but liked style so I kept it and Jill Sanders one. I wish you have more details of your item would be nice for us buyers... photos etc... not only clothes but handbags, too.
Excellent customer service! I needed to make a return and it was so simple. The clothes that were sent were in great shape however they didn't fit. I was new to this site and I wasn't even sure that I would be able to return them. I was grateful to know that I could.

They forgot to ship my order until I emailed to ask about it. Then they lost a piece I ordered in the warehouse (the shirt is still on the site as "unavailable" and "coming soon"). Then the items that did arrive had body odor in the arm pits. So much potential in this company but it seems that their lower-end/sale pieces/clients get pushed aside for the bigger ticket items. Makes me hesitant to buy again.
Because the price for 2nd hand Chanel bag is more expensive or similar to the retail price.

The Real Real has so many choices and such great sales. I feel as if I'm shopping in some very special place, as I peruse the rare and unusual jewelry, clothing, shoes, home and art items.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
