I had return questions and they replied quickly and answered all my questions. I have shopped on Realreal for a long time. I have not had a bad experience.
They processed my RETURNS as consignment, REFUSED to "consign" something I had just bought from them that same week and SOLD something I returned as a consignment, giving me a small fraction of the price back. I have triple emailed their customer service team after being on hold for over 20 minutes on the phone with no email reply yet.

Great selection, high priced, when requesting information about items takes too long for someone to answer back, gives incorrect info, online descriptions are sometimes incorrect. I think the company is too big to care about details and is price gouging for used items

Waste of time and money, total over pay for poor quality items with customer service that are asleep! Terrible service Im still after months waiting for refunds... im not happy at all and been so patient its like a money bin drop once paid kiss good bye to satisfaction guaranteed.

I purchased a pair of shoes that were sized incorrectly... so they were too small. I explained the issue to them ( Nicole), and they apologized and offered a refund.
Trying to get customer service to respond is like finding a four leaf clover. I'm a consigner and every single time I call, I'm either on hold for ages, or I ask for a call back that never comes. How do you run a business like this? Also, how does the automated system tell me the wait is under 10 minutes, and after holding for 10 minutes, it tells me the wait is MORE than 10 minutes? This is a joke.
Horrible experience. Long call wait, incoherent answering service, she hardly spoke English, waisted my time and energy while My credit card has been over charged for thousands of dollars multiple times for the same purchase.

I received an RMA and followed instructions and sent my return back weeks ago. I sent a photo of the box and also of the shipment receipt so that it will be more convenient for TRR to track it. It's been weeks now and I emailed last week to follow up and I still have no received a reply NOR my refund. With other websites returns are so much easier - they even pick up the parcel from me. With TRR I need to ship it back myself and then hear nothing back.

I had an issue with a sizeable purchase ($1700 cufflinks) and the team was nonresponsive for 72 hours, then replied with a false description of the issue, and when corrected went silent for over a week now (and counting). I've also flagged incorrectly listed items on the site, with no correction and no meaningful follow-up response. It's a total disaster.

Have been using The Real Real for a long time and noticed that the quality of service, accuracy of listings, and quality of clothing on the site has declined. I purchased a top that was described as being in pristine condition, only to find it full of holes and damage. The Real Real overstates purchase amounts, so if you are overseas and have to pay taxes and duties, you end up paying far more than you should. Was once a great site and a great place to shop, but not any longer. Definitely will not use again.

My expereince with purchases has been great. With consignment not so much. I have been told mutiple times that a designer brand is accepted only to find out that my clothes are being sent back. Pretty pissed off about that.

Real Real split the order into two packages, and UPS sent them to two different pick-up points for some reason. This made this purchase much less sustainable than planned and quite a hassle for me as well. Products were great, though.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,

Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
