I consigned with them and was scammed. I sent in several items new w tags that then promised to sell at a certain price point, they sold the items for pennies and never paid me my commissions. I keep getting the run around with customer service. I was also promised a bonus for giving them so many items and they failed to provide it. The company is deceitful and unethical. The sales rep just want to make their quotas so they don't care about how much your items are priced at. I would be embarrassed to work here and represent such a unethical brand. I would advise not to consign here because it's just one big LIE and you will not be paid or compensated. Illegal and unethical company
I ordered 6 items from them total 249.00. I returned 5 items, they were 2 small. They charged my card again instead of refunding my money. Now they owe me almost 400.00 and they said to call my bank.

My Item was incorrectly sized, when I asked to be compensated for international shipping as the error was the Real Real, and not mine I received no reply and resolution to the problem. I gave the items to charity.

I was having a great experience with the Real real until they just lost my last drop off of consignment items. I see the items on the site, but they are not listed on my account page. So if someone buys them, I guess the money will go to someone else. So be careful. They are flaky. I am very disappointed. I thought this was a great way to recycle and be more eco-friendly. But there are a lot of employees who do not seem very attentive or professional.

I received Louis bag didn't like. Wanted refund or exchange. They told me only consign cost me 45%!

My items arrived as described and in good time, but the packaging was very poor.
One box was ripped apart and retaped. I was very surprised that nothing fell out and was not lost in transportation.
Items inside had no packing material - the box was very big and had a lot of empty space inside.
I know everyone is minimize packing materials to be eco-friendly, but if the items arrive damaged or they are lost in shipping, that isn't good for customer service and it isn't eco-friendly either (as it causes even more waste).
When I placed my order, I expected it to ship in one box for one courier fee, but I received two separate boxes.
I understand that items may not all originate from the same location.
Perhaps indicating number of parcels before confirming an order would let us know in advance.

I have consigned and sold over $20k and the level of poor customer service a woman named Angela has done is unbelievable. I got unlucky with my last consignment I did where the warehouse lost it and took them 1 month to find. This consignment they lost was worth at least $3,500. A representative named Angela was assigned to me and has yet done anything helpful. This woman takes days for a response and yet no solution has been made! I tried to CC the consignment customer service email and general customer service email to show them how horrible my never ending issues have never been solved because of this woman. This was been going for 2 months now! Its so exhausting!
Issues:
1. The warehouse lost my consignment and takes a month to find it
2. Finalizing prices is taking an additional month and it is still not complete and yet taking too long!
3. my commission is never correct and I have been trying to get it fixed but no one has fixed it after trying for so long
4. The expert in charge of pricing my items is pricing them extremely low yet there are used ones listed for more than mine on the website? And just a reminder, these items are in super high demand and ALWAYS sells very quickly with its actual retail price AND over the retail price.
5. The lingering communication... this is all taking too long! I have sold over $20k... this is not the service I would expect from RealReal...
6. Never gave me a tracking number for sunglasses that are being returned to me
7. Angela Completely removed all items from my last consignment that was first lost and were finalizing pricing... without my permission!

I found a good deal on one item and placed the order. The item never got shipped because Real Real realized that the price is too low for them and they emailed me saying the item is "out of stock". Which they actually raised the price of that item and reposted the sale.
WTF, they took my money for about a month and tell me it's "out of stock."
I could use this money to invest in my stocks or other business.
Waste of my time.

I've been a member since its inception and do like the site for the most part. Delivery is good but have gotten some items stolen because of arrangements with UPS. Wish you can ensure that packages are delivered and not just left at door without so much as a door knock.
Also when a promotional store credit is given, it should be directly placed in account and not require you to call before transferring to site credit. Have unknowingly forfeited credit as I missed email and was too late when I realized it.

I scheduled a drop out for 10:20 September 5 at your Atlanta location. Received a confirmation for my reservation. Arrived on time, was greeted rudely and told the store didn't open until noon. When I asked if I could just drop off things was rudely denied. Returned at 1:00 they just counted my things I do not yet have confirmation.

Avoid more than covid. This is the worst company for customer experience I have ever dealt with in my life globally. I am still trying to get a refund on an order from May 2021. They have failed to respond to my emails, letters (yes I resorted to letters!), messages, chat the list goes on. Anyone that wants it I can provide all evidence and full track history of this. I love the concept of The RealReal: get good deals on high-end, well-made clothing, while also doing something that's environmentally friendly. The main problem is trying to find clothing that actually fits. I get that sizing is different in different countries, but the website purports to show actual "measurements" that are, in reality, entirely inconsistent. In theory, two articles of clothing with the same measurements should fit roughly the same. Instead, I've had to send most of my purchases back for returns. This wouldn't be too terrible, but at $12 shipping each way, those great deals pretty quickly lose their luster.

I have contacted the Real real to let them know that they are collecting Sales Tax on items that are not taxable in my country as they are not new items. They have done nothing about it. I have ben told that they collect the GST tax on behalf of the Australian Tax department and then pay the taxes onto the Australian tax authority. This tax is payable in Australia on new goods only, not on resold goods. I have stopped shopping on The Real Real for this reason.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
