I bought two times a dress for a occasion which wasn't available cause it was already sold.
I bought 5 outfits and only received 4 after I called they told they will look into it, till Now I haven't received my money back and it was costly, the odd part is I was missing the most expensive outfit, also most of the items had an awful smell, this is the worst 2nd hand web I ve dealt with, this is based on my own experience.

I was chatting with customer service for almost an hour and the outcome was that someone would reach out to me in 24-48 hours. It's been about 36 hours and no one has reached out. I ordered two items and only received one.

You send in your items to sell, and they list it before giving you the opportunity to pull an item. You should receive an email stating the value they put on each item before they list it.

On the numerous occasions that I consigned clothing I would get notifications of additional bonuses that I NEVER received. In addition to that I would let the consignment coordinators know and either they would ignore my requests or say they would look into it and never got back. I stopped consignment for this very reason. False advertising and promotion

It's a great concept and great value for the money. However, shipping cost is too much compared to the service. It takes forever to be delivered even if you pay premium.

The Ralph Lauren lamps for sale under "home" for hundreds of dollars? I bought the same ones for $49 at TJMAXX. Same with increasing amounts of merchandise; these are not luxury goods, but stuff somebody found on sale at Nordstrom's Rack and are now being re-sold at a higher price by TRR. The collectables crap filling up the site, and the candles? BAD judgements. Looking more like a yard sale than a luxury store.
I love the Real Real—beautiful, high-quality shoe options at a discount and the option to try them on and return them is so easy and super helpful for a full-time office goer that wants to shop chicer heel options than Amazon has but runs out of time to actually go shopping!

It's a great concept and I've been a buyer and seller for 7 years. There is no consistency in their business, with either high end items or mid range items. In the beginning I was a bit more patient and attributed it to growing pains. But they never really figured anything out in the last seven years. Items are often marked as Excellent or NWT and come with clearly visible damage. Alternatively, I'll send brand new items with tags and they mark them or judge them as Very Good. The last consignment they processed 11 items late and 1 item was sitting in approved queue for 2 months and no one responded to my email in 3 weeks, actually no one ever responded. I had to send a message out on Twitter of all places to get someone to look at it. And their Client Account Representatives are pretty much a waste of space, just constantly send you emails and txt messages and when you need them for any issues you get complete silence. I've slowly started to divert my items elsewhere at this point, still occasionally drop by to shop but I could care less about their existence at this point. Very disappointing from a publicly traded company - their leadership needs to be replaced as all ends because you can tell they suffer from turnover on the filed, I have a different person reaching out to me ever month as my "new" rep.

Uneven quality of descriptions (i. E. type of shoe/clothing). Poor/incomplete sizing information (i. E width of shoe if nonstandard, short/regular in suiting, sometimes outright wrong size). Woefully long processing of credit due to item lost at TRR/never shipped. Variably responsive customer service.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,

Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
