Everything was handled quickly and my return date was adjusted due to delays in shipment which TRR made me aware of, but somehow initially did not adjust the return date. The rep I spoke to adjusted the date and I had enough time to review all my purchases. It all worked out really well

I love the site and have shopped there a lot. Items are of good quality, delivery is quick. One problem I run into is inaccurate size description. It seems that sometimes there is not enough time spent reading or finding size labels. It results in wrong sizes being listed or estimating sizes which is not always accurate. I understand the size labels are sometimes missing but if they are still on the garment an effort should be made to find them and read them correctly. Also, from my experience, the company will not accept responsibility for missizing items so you may end up stuck with the item or you will have to send it back at your own expense.

Always a pleasure to speak w/TRR customer service if issues arise. They were able to tell me why my shipment was delayed. One thing I wish they would do is keep you updated via text/email or call if other circumstances arise when they don't ship o pop et what they told you via phone call. That way the customer is not placing multiple calls.

I received my items in a timely manner. All the items were of good quality and their state exactly matched the one described on their shopping page.
The only thing which usually confuses me is that when receiving the documents for customs declaration (waybill), they usually state different types of ordered items (instead of silk dress "leather pants" are stated etc.).
Another thing - when receiving order confirmation in email it clearly gives only the amount of payed sum of money for the whole order, the value of each item without discounts, as well as all the percentages of all the discounts applied to the while order. Latvian customs control demands to state the value of each ordered item individually which is the price I payed for each item including all the discounts. Since the order confirmation clearly states only the exact price of each item without discounts I usually have to play a guessing game on how much exactly I payed for each item with the discounts. Therefore, it would be very helpful for me if the order confirmations showed the prices payed including the discounts for each item individually.

So many times, I have not gotten my package in europe because the courier does not call me. One time I waited in my house 5 hours and no calls a shame as the products are fab.

Seller beware, 30% commission for items priced under $95. I would also say about 30% or so of items have errors in the listings. Vey inconsistent on what they accept and what they don't.

With this order I had purchased a necklace and a dress. Necklace arrived damaged and I had to return it.
The problem with that is that I ended up having to pay import taxes in Singapore for something that was returned due to the fact that the item arrived damaged. TRR did not want to reimburse those import duties. I was extremely disappointed because the error on TRR part cost me more than 50...
Customer service didn't even make an effort to understand the issue I had. It could have offer a credit on my account, which would in term be spent on another purchase. I have been a great customer of TRR since TRR was funded. I felt really unheard and not accounted for...

I was given refunds in store credit only despite the fact that there were problems with shipping (among other things such as measurements almost ALWAYS being inaccurate) and I had asked for an extended return window due to extenuating circumstances.

On multiple occasions, I have reached out to customer service via phone and/or email. And consistently, I've had bad experiences (I. E. from being treated rudely to not taking weeks to receive a response we via email to being lied to (maybe unintentional but was still a lie)). The RealReal is such an amazing place to shop. But I do not shop as much I would like because the customer service is so bad.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!
Answer: Hi Samantha. The RealReal does sometimes ask for additional information from customers for a one time security check. Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,

Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
