Questo sito combina così tante cose che amo: marchi di design, prezzi incredibili, un servizio straordinario e un display abile, il tutto in un formato facile da usare che mi fa tornare ancora e ancora. Raccomando
This company had some "luxury" manager come to my home and take away expensive designer items. These were "sold" on their site before I was given access to my page on their website. They were supposedly "sold" for pennies. I signed no contract and have reveived only $400 for the multiple designer items they took from me. Do not let these people come into your home. Never give them your bank account or credit card numbers. The company makes profits by lying and by defrauding their consigners.
Hi Ruby, we're truly sorry for your experience with us and we'd like to understand more so we can help. Please reach out to our team on social media with your email address and consignor ID so we can look into this ASAP.
I like the experience of shopping at The Real Real and being a consignor, but they claim items will be shipped the day following your order and arrive in 3-5 business days. After placing multiple orders recently, this is false. Orders take 9 days on average, which is annoying when you expect something in 5 days, and gives you a shortened window to request a return. For the cost of shipping, orders should arrive on time. It's really frustrating and I don't think I will order from TRR again, especially since it's the day after my order and of course it hasn't been shipped… TRR: either fulfillment needs to be sped up, the shipping cost reduced or the website updated to accurately post shipping times (preferably the first two)!
Hi Sarah, we appreciate you sharing this feedback and we're sorry your order has not yet shipped. Please reach out to our team on social media with your order details so we can provide you with an update on your order.
I had a bad experience with this website. I ordered a few items and one of them was a package of 10 pantyhose and when they arrived it was only 1 pair. I double checked the advertisement and it was clearly supposed to be 10 so I contacted customer service by email. He stated that it is supposed to be 10 and he would look into it, that he needed to contact a 3rd party. Weeks have gone by and he keeps saying he is looking into it. It's almost been a month and now he doesn't reply back. A believe they are selling items as 3rd party and are not willing to guarantee the items. I wouldn't risk buying something expensive from here. I will never purchase from them again.
Hi Lori, we're truly sorry for your experience with us. We'd be more than happy to help you with a refund for your order. Please reach out to our team on social media with your order details so we can help right away.
They have numerous lawsuits going on, one from a Chanel, due to selling fakes. Be very careful what you buy from them.
Hi Sue, we're sorry you received your item back in that condition and that our team hasn't gotten back to you yet. Please reach back out to us at [email protected] with your details so we can help ASAP.
I have consigned four times and each time it's $7 or $5. On my luxury items, even after building VIP status it's still putting items on sale right when they get posted, so I maybe get $300 for Chanel. Don't waste your time. On top of it some items came back damaged (I will say two were at least paid out on consignment) this was only after numerous emails. Buyer beware as My job has a similar toll free number and I've had four people (just this year) call stating they want a refund. They said their LV bags purchased were replicas. I explained we aren't a consignment shop and gave them the correct number. I was scared to hear this myself, after purchasing from the site many times but won't be buying expensive items nor consigning anymore. You are better off with eBay.
I bought a pair of shoes that were over $100 on its final clearance sale. The description stated they were "leather." When I received them I knew immediately they were fake leather. When I checked the label of the shoes, it stated the material of the shoe was "man-made." I paid over $100 for some low-quality material shoes. In addition, I purchased a sweater for $90 that was in "Excellent" condition and it had a bunch of holes in it. I have a few more horror stories from them, but I won't waste any more of my time writing about them or purchasing from them ever again.
Hi Lori, we’re sorry this wasn’t what you expected. We'd be more than happy to offer you a full refund for your order -- please send us a DM on social media with your order number so we can help sort this out.
I've purchased many Ralph Lauren sweaters in the past and I don't know how a size M could fit like a XS suddenly. One sweater came with a hole by the neck. Even if the label says M, if it fits like a XS, then it should say so. I spent nearly or over $100 just for customs so feeling quite bummed after returning all of my items.
Hi RM, we're sorry your order arrived to you this way. DM us on social media with your order details so we can help.
Both these inquiries are rather important to me and I still have had no real response to either. It's really off putting and frustrating. Especially since one inquiry is about valuable items that were sent to the wrong address that I did not provide.
Hi Jenn, sorry our team has not gotten back to you yet. Please DM us on social media with your info and any questions you have so we can help right away.
I've received items with undisclosed damage, items with garbage in the pockets, items that were missing belts or linings. I've spotted Uniqlo and Target collabs being sold as mainline pieces. Now my latest experience has fully broken my trust in TRR. I bought a rare jacket with hood, and instead of receiving the item in the photos I only got the jacket. The hood is mink and the most valuable part of the jacket. Where did it go? DON'T TRUST THE PHOTOS. Do your research and avoid items that have detachable parts like belts, trims, hoods. I would also be wary of sets. CS is a joke. I wasted hours getting hung up on by clueless agents, and TRR has started outsourcing to a call center where the agents don't have much authority or oversight. If TRR messes up, the only solutions will be a questionable return process or a meager site credit (I was told the max was $75). Be very careful buying big ticket items. Also take note that listings are not updated when a customer purchases and returns an item, so the photos and condition might not be accurate. TRR is not what it used to be, and it has the worst QC and customer care of all the secondhand platforms.
(edit: Shipping does not get 5 stars, that was a misclick. Shipping is too high and they lost half of my order.)
Hi Em, we're truly sorry for your experience with us. We promise we’ll make it right if an item you purchase from us doesn’t match the description on our site. Please DM us on social media with your order number and we'll sort this out for you right away.
I had committed to sell my late brother's Hermes Ties, Burberry Trench and some St. John knits for his wife. I did sell quite a few of his ties on Ebay, but I got weary of the whole thing; so in a weak moment, I sent them to TRR to sell (TRR hounded me until I consigned the items). The commission is 60% if you sell items for less than $2,500 plus if they discount the item, i. E. additional 20% off the price to entice buyers, the seller has to pick up that extra 20% of commission. I know my brother is spinning in his grave, knowing that I sent thousands of dollars worth of his clothing to TRR to sell and got almost nothing for them. Seller beware.
Hi Anne, we're truly sorry for your experience with us and we appreciate your sharing this feedback. Our team would be more than happy to help you with your consignments. Please reach out to us on social media with your info so we can help ASAP.
My account was botched from the get go. I've been waiting for some very expensive watches to be returned to me and NOTHING is happening. No response. I receive a "as soon as possible" text back.
I was initially told 2-4 weeks to get returned, then 30 days, now today I'm told 2-6 weeks.
Hi Susan, we're sorry to hear your items have yet to be returned to you. We'd be more than happy to look into this -- DM us on social media with your consignor details and we'll assist you ASAP.
I sent back a Michael Kors bag and an Arche bag. For some reason the packing slip showed 9 bags.
The box was received in your warehouse on Oct. 1, but there is no further information.
If this is too much of a problem for Real Real to handle, please send them both back.
I had a similar problem several months ago.
Hi Hilary, our team would be more than happy to assist in returning your items back to you. Please email us at [email protected] with your consignor ID and the items you'd like returned.
Very poor customer service. Realreal will make it very difficult for you to return anything
Hi JH T, thank you for providing feedback on your shopping experience with us. Our team would be more than happy to help you with a return. Please reach out to us at [email protected] with your order details so we can help.
I called customer service and told her how disappointed I was with the item I purchased
This item was not returnable it was dirty and the condition poor
She told me to send pictures to her email which I did she never got back to me
The cost of this item $295
I expected a Moncler fleece would be better condition than this
It looks like it got run over by a car
So I'm not happy they dropped the ball!
If I send this back and recon sign in the condition it's in they would send it back
Hi Dorothy, we're sorry to hear your order arrived to you in that condition. We promise we’ll make it right if an item you purchase from us doesn’t match the description on our site. Please DM us on social media with your order number and we'll sort this out for you.
I am an avid Hermès scarf collector. The RealReal sold me a fake. When I called them to kindly report that a replica had slipped into their inventory, they asked me to send it back to their authentication team, which I did, included with a letter explaining the inauthenticities. One week later I received the same scarf returned to me in the mail without any correspondence. When I called The RealReal to ask why I received a box with the fake Hermès scarf in it, they simply said that their authenticity team found it to be real. Scary! Where do they find these so-called authenticators, who, even when the glaring inauthentic details are pointed out to them in a letter, still insist that an item is authentic? So, I lost my money and will have to toss the scarf or use it to polish my crystal, but I learned my lesson: I will NEVER trust or shop at The RealReal again and you should not, either.
I returned to The RealReal site to browse at their other Hermès scarves and their site is crawling with replica scarves! I feel ashamed and embarrassed that I did not look more closely at their sub-standard photographs, but there are some details that one can see that clearly are inauthentic. Hermès scarf buyers: beware!
The entire team at TRR is simply fantastic. From consignment to sales support... Everything aspect of the service provided was flawless!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Greg. We can't wait to see you again soon!
These people are crooks! I wanted my Gucci watch back that I never wanted sold! They sold it anyway and would not give me the value that they promised they would! This place gives no contracts so they can steal your things, and you can do nothing about it! It is a scam! Have several things missing that they will not compensate me for, complete theft! Never ever, give them your things to sell. They sell them for peanuts, keep a large commission and give you next to nothing! They should not be in business to steal form us! You have been warned!
Hi Patricia, we're truly sorry for your experience with us and we never want you to feel this way. We can see that you've reached out to our customer service team via email and someone from our team will be in contact with you shortly to discuss next steps. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us on social media if there is anything more we can do for you.
A truly stress free experience. Items arrive beautifully packaged. If you need to return an item process could not be easier.
We appreciate you sharing this feedback with us, Ealaine. We're so happy to hear you enjoy shopping with us and we can't wait to see you again soon!
Love TRR and the service it provides. Post-browsing flows have me hooked. I don't like being charged $11 everytime I get something or send it back. Maybe a frequent purchaser loyalty program that waives shipping? Kind of like how grubhub offers a membership that waives service and processing fees. Yes, please.
Hi Eleanor, thank you for providing us with this feedback, we truly appreciate it. While our First Look Membership does not include free shipping, we do offer unlimited 2-day shipping. You can learn more about this membership on our website.
I'm trying to get my property back and they keep saying they will send it but its been months. They don't return calls or emails and I'm now resorting to legal action.
Hi Polly, we're truly sorry for the delay in returning your items to you. Please reach back out to our team at [email protected] so we can help ASAP.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!
Answer: Hi Samantha. The RealReal does sometimes ask for additional information from customers for a one time security check. Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Please feel free to reach out to us if this does not answer your questions or if you feel that the explanations provided were not applicable to your situation. You can reach out to our Customer Service Department at (855) 435 5893 from 8am to 5pm (PST). If you would like to speak to a supervisor directly, please feel free to ask for Caitlin from our NJ office. She is available from 9am to 6pm (EST) and of course you can reach us via email at: [email protected].
Answer: If you like to be frustrated, disappointed and want to take a few years off your life, then yes consign with the real real.
Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. If you do, you will be disappointed,
Answer: Hello, We are sorry to hear of your concerns. If you can please send us your order number or email address we will happily research this further.
Answer: Hi Frank, Thank you for reaching out. We apologize you have seen more negative than positive reviews. We would be pleased to advise you on our consignment process and share a little more insight about the RealReal.
Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
Answer: I have returned things with no hassle at all.
