Ordered $300 work of clothes over a month ago and it never showed up, have not been able to get in contact with the company.
I've had some good experiences and some bad experiences with them. Took months and multiple calls and emails to get a refund for counterfeit items once, but also pretty quick response for others. They did ultimately refund me for an item I purchased years ago after I had it authenticated, so it could be worse (e.g. Vestiaire Collective who refused to refund me even though i had a third party authentication service say something was fake immediately after I received it). Always get items from here independently authenticated if they're expensive. I treat it like ebay. There are some good deals though and I do still shop here a lot

No not true. They sold me, I returned a fake Valentino dress. Now would a Valentino dress have an unfinished seams and not be lined if the material was scratchy? Nope. Returned to the store pointed out. The sales rep agreed. Gave me my return and immediately it was back on site. I emailed them. A week later they finally replied standing by their authenticity process. I stand by its not a Valentino
I purchased a pair of Pucci shoes for my wife for Christmas. They were described on the site as being in "very good" condition, but that was a lie. She walked about 500 yards in them and the shoes broke! The soles completely detached from BOTH of the shoes and it was so embarrassing! They were in horrible condition, clearly not authenticated for "very good" condition. My wife is 5'2" 110 pounds. My wife couldn't walk in them as they fell apart at brunch. I called the Real Real customer service and the woman Lizeth was absolutely condescending and terrible. She did not apologize, rather she told me it wasn't a big deal because I only spent $50 on the shoes, and they WERE USED. DUH! Then don't sell used merchandise is that is how you treat customers. It was so insulting. Their whole business model is selling USED items. Lizeth could not less that we spend literally thousands of dollars a year on the site. She did not apologize. How is the dollar value of what we spent relevant? We were offered a $20 site credit, or the ability to return the shoes. I explained that would leave my wife with no present, so asked if there were other solutions. As a final option, we were told we could send photos (we did), then go to a repair shop, get a quote, go back to the Real Real to be sure the repair price was acceptable, and if so, we could go ahead with the repair and request a reimbursement. What kind of a solution is this? She told us we should have known as we are buying a used item. She treated us like trash and we will never purchase from them again. She also alleged they were not broken when shipped to us- that is completely false! The Real Real customer services treats customers like garbage. My mother and sister and wife all were great customers but the Real Real does not value customers at all, especially good ones, at all. Terrible experience.

We did not intend to make you feel misled by the condition described in the item listing and after looking further into this issue, we see that our Customer Service team accommodated the return of the Final Sale item due to what transpired when your wife wore them out. Site credit was also issued for the inconvenience as well as a full refund for the shipping fee and the return shipping fee being waived. Same orders, arrived in two different dates. And one of the dress I wanted to wear for a Xmas party but they shipped a wrong item to me. Very upset. Retuned the item to them, and been told they couldn't find the address I ordered, and will refund to me and give me a store credit of 25, dollars which is if you sign up as new member you will have 25 dollars credit. I am located in overseas, my shipping is 50 per shipping. I wonder all the troubles you realreal created for your customer just worth 25 dollars? I don't think I want any experience with realreal any more...

I will never purchase from this company again. Was charged for S&H after returning a pair of Rag &Bone boots labeled 9.5 which was clearly an error. I was unable to insert my foot in the boot past my arch. I was very disappointed and shocked by the mislabeling. None the less, I attempted to call TRR without success. I will never shop at this resale consignment store again. I'm done! I was treated better by BBS and Fashionfile my usual go to resales apps!

I consigned clothing, shoes and jewelry in early January 2021. One of the jewelry items-a tricolor 18k gold rolling band diamond ring was never listed for sale. I have called customer service numerous times to ask why the ring hasn't been listed for sell. I have gotten several different ridiculous reasons, Finally, on February 24th, I asked that the ring be returned to me, and as of today, March 5th 2021, I haven't received it. This has happened to me before, with a pair of diamond earrings which also were not listed for sale. Finally, they paid me for the earrings which were probably "misplaced". Be careful when consigning expensive jewelry. I certainly learned my lesson!

I don't know where to begin. I have a few complaints. One is that customer service seems to be great at passing the buck, you contact them and are told someone else will get back to you. The problem never gets resolved and you give up.
I submitted a dress that was worn once. It didn't sell so I ask for it back. When it was returned I placed it in a drawer. It is a heavy knit so it shouldn't be hung. Two years later I resubmitted it to sell, at first it was listed then it was returned due to a hole. I'm absolutely sure someone there damaged my dress. I was never contacted and no conversation was had about my dress. This dress was very expensive.
I submitted another dress and it was returned for stains. I took it to the dry cleaner and inspected it with them to insure it was cleaned properly. I sent it back once clean, I was told once again there were stains. I asked for the dress to be taped where the dress was stained and was told it would be done. It was returned unmarked and I still can't find a stain.
The last issue is another dress that was classified as pristine. I found 2 other dresses on the site that were identical. The first thing that perplexed me was that they were all labeled differently even though they were identical dresses. My dress was marked at s lower price even though it was on the site the least amount of time and in the best condition. I asked about and was given s ridiculous explanation, I asked for my dress to be returned.
I don't think they are organized, I don't believe them to be transparent and they are BAD communicators. I would recommend finding another avenue to sell your designer duds. FRUSTRATED to say the very least!
There were a few other issues, but tests the point? I think you get the point. Stay away!

I have bought numerous items from the real real but recently bought a dress that hasn't even been shipped after 3 weeks. Even though I have complained nothing has been done. It makes you wonder what really goes on with some of the clothes you order. No reason has been given in the long delay. I find this bad business and wonder if on of the employees is wearing my dress for the holidays instead of me.

Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
