Almost everything I've received from the Realreal is in significantly worse condition than described. Unless the description says ‘new with tags' my experience has been terrible. I've spent so much ridiculous money in shipping and returns, but I have finally learned. I will not purchase from them ever again. They have lost my trust and my business.
Hit or miss. Good return policy. Robbery if you want to consign with them. Many items I've gotten have come in poor condition but a good handful have come perfect. Must pay attention if something is sold in sale it's not refundable or exchangeable. If you consign be prepared to be contacted like you need a new car warranty

The site is easy to navigate. Prices are fair. Shipping was fast and the merchandise quality is wonderful.
No question, wonderful customer service... very few exceptions but almost 95% excellent services! Nowadays, everyone using on-line shopping and especially when you purchase clothing, you can't touch, you can't try it on... but your company make it to return so easy, I can buy whatever and try it on at home without any pressure! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of very few 'bad' customer service rep and you don't post many photos. And if this is black clothes, I can't see it clearly. This may my computer screen issue but I tried others and its still the same, can't see the details. And you don't post inside of clothes, especially if the coat has fur lined... I can't see what's color of the fur inside... Also your sizes are jumble mumble, 50% not correct. If you think of it, on-line shoppers are depending on your post, including photos, measurements, descriptions... if you tell me differently than actual, I'm wasting my time and money. Please try make it as accurately as possible. One recent example, I ordered several fur stoles and it should measured inside of bottom leather but some measured the end of fur hair to hair... had to return. Other than that (sorry too many), I love your site!
The separate shipments every time I order from your site cost me lots of shipment charges. To lower my charges you need to corporate if you needs me to continue order or purchase in the future
Unhappy with purchase-Received a bag I was unhappy with —rather than let me send it back for a credit to buy another bag I was given a $40 credit and forced to keep the $550 bag. I had purchased 13 bags in six weeks prior to this so I was very surprised that no one could take care of me. I also sent in a consignment and plan to send an additional high-end consignment ( Louis and Ysl). I likely will not do that either now
The details of the condition could be better and use more wording like fashionphile. At times the description doesn't represent the best way to describe the condition or fails to mention things.
I have purchased six designer purses at incredibly low prices. They have all been in like new condition. I will definitely be buying more!

In general, I am happy with TRR. I just hope that you will be more accurate with measurements. There were a couple of times when the measurements posted were not correct.
Missing part of my order, only got a reply to my email after i complained via an instagram comment. Even after didnt hear back. Didn't want to ship back the item as i paid alot of duries on it but had no choice since no one was replying to my concerns let alone provide me with a better solution.
Had to change my email and password because of a computer issue. Despite speaking with customer service was locked out for weeks. Received 7 emails from different people about the SAME issue... now I cannot get into my consignment list. Consigned about 20items last November with Elizabeth Westman... because my sales would be listed under the OLD email, I cannot get into my own consignment list... It is almost March.

This was the 2nd chocolate blazer that I tried to buy. Both did not come NEAR the size that was quoted? Who sizes these for the website?
The earrings were beautiful and in great condition. Better than I imagined.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
