Reputable with great selection and accurate descriptions of product conditions. Easy to search site. Fast shipping and easy returns. I've spent a year on line shopping and building a beautiful designer wardrobe from The Real Real.
Great selection - it's like having all the top retailers in one place at prices that are reasonable
During the pandemic, I've done lots of online shopping... as a fashionable friend of mine explained "Right now retail therapy is all we have." The Real Real is the platinum standard in online shopping. My sizes are saved, I can search by item type and/or brand and sort by color-- all of which makes filling holes in your closet effortless. My favorite part is in the item description when the garment measurements and fabric are listed. I'm tall with a large chest and these measurements make all the difference when selecting an item and imagining the fit.
Sometime the size is not right and can't to return it
I have made several purchases. The descriptions of size and condition have been very accurate. The shipping has been fast and the return process easy.
I like the site, however there are two things I do not like:
1. Shipping costs are HIGH.
2. Not enough selection in larger sizes in shoes and women's clothing.
Shopping with TRR was new experience for me and I definitely recommended it. You will find all designers with affordable budget.
My only take was not been able to figure out why I couldn't get my first time discount? But overall it's was great.

Here you get authentic brands at great prices having piece of mind wondering if what condition the items are? No need. Relax because you will be in awe. Everything is as described in my experience. I am consigning so much with them for 3 years now... I am a VIP and lately I have noticed that they burn out your merchandise to sell them... they price it higher on some cases and put them on sale so rapidly as you turn your eyes away... some times they price an item so low and as soon as you want to pull it out they sell it... there is an extremely high wait to contact the customer service and consigner relation and although they give a choice to call you back either they never call or they call so much later that you couldn't even remember why you called in the first place... if you want to contact anyone in management is almost impossible... they are never ever available and no one ever calls you back... my latest experience with them was a very high end necklace diamonds and gold that was sold even though I have called and asked for the diamonds to be recounted since they had wrong info on it to be able to have them reappraised but it went on line with the wrong info and got sold in a split second... I check my stuff 24/7 and at least few times a day to control my merchandise and I don't honestly care for smaller stuff but when a $******* dollar necklace sells in less than 20 percent of the price is when you start writing a not pleasant reviews although you have so much stock in the co
Often items are new with original tags attached--at a fraction of their new price. The quality is as described and usually the item is returnable if it doesn't fit or meet expectations. I have found some real treasures on this site! Customer service is great and the First Look monthly program is definitely worth the $10.
3 unanswered emails. Only half a product. No explanation
I love the products, the service, and the site. However, I believe the shipping cost is too high. Many times, I want to order one item but because of the high shipping cost, I order more items just in case I like the other items better than the one item I initially wanted to order.
Because of this, I end up having more returns. Please do away with shipping costs and I will order more wisely. To tack on $20+ (shipping and return costs) for an order, on one hand prevents me from ordering more frequently, and on the other hand makes me order more items when I do order resulting in more returns.
Otherwise, I love everything about Real. Keep up the good work
Sent several emails, about 7 I think, tried to chat but couldn't get through... as my order from Feb 3 has still not been fully delivered as per today.
I understand shipment delays but really needed an update. I only got one response offering to reimburse shipment costs but without any info when my order would ship.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
