The website is so USER friendly and easy to navigate. I save my FAV and definitely plan to shop at RealReal again. My son told me about this company. It was my first experience purchasing at the RealReal and I was absolutely impressed with the selection and the professionalism.
Easy to order and return. The only thing I would change is the shipping charges. I think twice before I order bc I have to pay for shipping to come to me and also if I have to return. But I have gotten some great finds and I have also sold some of my stuff with the real real and it is a super easy process
I think some ppl are trying to sell things waaaay over priced, not cleaned, not described honestly and correctly. Out of 7 items ordered only a pair of shies were good enough condition, in my judgement, to be sold. ( they were too small to keep) 3 Sweaters hadn't been cleaned and wrecked of perfume and had make up. Only one was worthy of pulling vacuming and washing blocking and pressing and looks new. I cannot imagine selling my things not in cleaned best condition. Hats were over advertised and a Sonia Rykiel straw hat was a child's hat sold as adult one, as one who knew the line well eons ago. Great concept I guess but not up to my conditions. Kept one of 7 items.
Would like to see the shipping cost drop a little and if you could easy return services for Asia that would be perfect!
A very good site for previously owned clothes, shoes and high-end jewelry. I have bought it all. Easy returns.
I like real real, best selection of all categories, for any ages, endless choices, vintage style, something unusual, for any taste. I will definitely come back for shopping in the future many many times, because it is fun. I would recommend to all of my friends.
I recently went back to purchasing from The RealReal and have found some inconsistencies on the listings e.g. a couple of items whose description did not match at all the pictures posted (emailed customer service, heard back saying would investigate, no response yet though). Also, while the majority of items recently purchased were as described, I got one whose condition was far from how it was described and - sadly / disappointingly - had to return.
Great service, high quality items. Good customer service. Some items need a better size comparison in the photos.
Over priced. Can't return. Items are not as described or in pictures. Won't purchase on real real again.
I really love The Real Real and have been mostly happy with what I have purchased. It's my fault, but several times I have purchased something that is not returnable, which is in small print and I keep missing it. I guess I've been stuck with ill fitting shoes. Ha! Of course you can re consign but the the return is minimal. So my advise would be to read carefully what you are getting.
Item received was stained and wrong sized. Because it was final sale I had to call customer service for a refund. They accepted as this was below realreal standard. I was satisfied, i would have stopped buying from reareal if I had not gotten a refund. Thank you

I find this company to be deceitful especially when you're dealing with him as a consignor and they definitely have favorites so seller beware
Items purchased didn't match the description on the site
I in correctly assumed that returns would include postage. They don't. Of a aud $800 purchase I needed to return $280 as the suit and shoes were too small. Cost to send is aud$80 + your usd $11 to process is unreasonable.
I will try to resell these items myself in Australia and won't buy clothes or shoes again for your site.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Most times, this is for new customers who have never shopped with us before, orders with vastly different billing and shipping information, or are international customers with unverified credit cards. We will ask for some sensitive and personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the purchaser but we will not ask for a Social Security Number. Was your father attempting to complete his purchase via Affirm? Affirm is a third party company we work with that offers financing on purchases. If your father was attempting to complete a purchase via Affirm, they do require a SSN for a soft credit check for the loan approval and repayment options. As Affirm is a third party, we do not have access to any of that information so it is secure with Affirm. Of course, no one is required to use Affirm for check out, rather it's just another payment option we offer. Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. They sound like this is a summer gig and they got no training, you can never speak to a supervisor, none is ever available, Read the reviews and decide if you still want to use this co. Answer: I don't work for The Real Real I am just a satisfied customer, very satisfied! I see all the complaints, and just shake my head. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
