After ordering coordinating invitations, we discovered that the website had major problems. No help from their FAQ. No response from customer service for DAYS. When I searched further, i saw that these problems have been occurring for over a month (since Sept2019) and hundreds of unhappy comments. Including guests who could not RSVP or RSVPs that were lost.
We went with another website, ordered all new invitations and lost hundreds of dollars and weeks of planning.
Our guests had difficulty processing cash fund or purchasing things from the registry site. Created such an inconvenience and awkward situations. Would not recommend.
I signed a contract with the knot beginning of this year. Paid $1500. Denise from Knot promised me that you definitely get at least 10 bookings per year. Gave me 2 months first-page advt. She also told me after two months if no bookings will keep me on the first page for another 3 months. I called her after 3 months. She said. Our policy changed. Very bad service. Most customers come here to get an idea about the price. No bookings. Do not spend money on this site. Totally waste.
I spent several thousands dollars advertising for my wedding business with them and got nothing. NOTHING! The company will charge you for very poor leads and you end up paying $$$ for it. Too many advertisers competing for the same spot. Any other advertising is better than theknot. The salesperson will make it sound really good but don't believe a single word. Save your money! Just do a search for "TheKnot Review" and read all the reviews. Mostly 1 star reviews for their service. Very disappointed. Feel like they just stole my money and didn't care if advertisers made money or not. Eventually, people will know and they will lose all their advertisers.
No customer service. It's starting to look like a Ponzi Scheme! Can't access our cash funds. No record of funds or contributors. We even contributed ourselves just to see if the cash or a gift donor would show up, it didn't. ALL THE MONEY HAS GONE MISSING!
We decided to use TheKnot after friends of my fiance used it last year and to save money on wedding invitations. I wish we had just spent the money and sent invitations! I also wish I had read reviews prior to using this site. Setting up the website was okay, however we sent the RSVP's and many people did not get the invite despite sending them twice. Those who did get it the link provided in the email did not work. Now, I just get a message from a guest that the location is not on the site. I had the location on the site and now suddenly it just DISAPPEARED out of nowhere... 25 days before our wedding! Ridiculous!
My fiance and I are using the wedding website offered on theknot.com to collect RSVPs from our guests and to provide them with additional information regarding the wedding. IT'S BEEN A NIGHTMARE! We have had multiple guests contact us and his mother asking about the DATE of our wedding because the date on the invitation and the date on the website don't match. The ONE thing that should be reliable on the website is the WEDDING DATE! Some how, the date keeps changing and although it says having a date listed is optional, it is not. Our wedding date is Sept. 15, but according to TheKnot.com our wedding date has been listed as 9/11,9/12,9/13, and 9/14. WHYYY?!?!? We have had to log in and manually change the date back to the correct date daily for the last few weeks, sometimes MULTIPLE TIMES in one day! This is incredibly inconvenient for ourselves and our guests! My fiance has tried to contact theknot multiple times and NOBODY has gotten back to us! If you're not going to fix the issue, at least give us the option to have the wedding date hidden. Save yourself the headache and use a different website provider.
Brides and mothers, think twice about using this site. I have been trying for 3 days to get a response from them without success. The only real person I could "chat" with was someone who said she could only help with the knot "shop" and not knot "services" and everything I asked was a problem for the "services ". The gift I contributed to was on sale on amazon prime day for $129 LESS than on the knot/amazon link. So items are apparently overpriced to begin with because had I gone directly to Amazon it listed at $159, not $199! I wanted to cancel the contribution and amazon wouldn't do it even though it was an amazon charge on my credit card. I have left phone messages and emails with the knot and they claim they will contact you in 24 to 48 hours and they have not contacted me by any means, neither phone, email, nor msg. If I ever have to buy a gift again and the recipient is registered with the knot I will look at the list and buy directly somewhere else.
This is an absolutely unprofessional bunch of tarts. Do you want the WORST?
You found them!
I wish there was a ZERO star option! One star is just too much!
I ordered a Strawberry Cake form Under Dessert City Catering, the cake huge i gave 1/2 to my sister after eating a piece i wanted my other 1/2 back from my sister, it was soooooo delicious, super moist not to sweet just right! I give her 5 stars can't to get back to Florida just to order again!
Rochelle is awful the company if the worst. They price gouge the hell out the vendors and the diverse to go bankrupt! DO NOT MARKET WITH THEM! Bride and grooms stay away,
Choose the harshest punishment you can find over using TheKnot.com for your wedding needs. For example, if you have an opportunity to spend the winter in Siberia or perhaps a few summer months in the pest-ridden, hazardous and life-threatening jungles of the Amazon basin - jump all over these opportunities in lieu of plainly ruining your life by having to deal with the horrendously bad website developed by TheKnot. This website can and will reliably destroy your wedding and relationship(s) with your loved one(s).
There is a significant glitch that changes the wedding date from day to day. This is not a small problem but one they have been unable to fix. You have to check it every 8 hours or so to change it back to the correct date. It makes no sense.
Save time and energy and not use this site. Used for my wedding and it's horrible. Customer service is horrible. One big major prob was the fact my guest couldn't RSVP and add their plus one. Follow this: if they typed in their first name only (no last name) there was an option to type in their guest names. If they typed in first and last name they could not add a guest. This was also if you had your RSVP as public vs private and a chance you would get duplicate the RSVP.
Seemed easy and great first but then when I'd start updating different events like engagement party, bridal shower, wedding or reception the dates would get messed up. My engagement party date somehow got changed to the wedding date and they're months apart. Zola was wayyyy better
Gabby at Rustic Rooster Photography is by far the best photographer. She has an extremely gifted talent and goes beyond your dreams. Please check her out on rustic rooster Facebook.
Like many others... I spent hours plugging in 280 guest names and emails only to find out you can not send an EVITE!
Your guests have to go to the website on their own and RSVP from there.
I would not recommend this site.
I also paid "extra" for a custom URL name... complete waste.
I have been communicating with someone from the payment department at The Knot attempting to get a full refund of an unauthorized charge I found on my credit card statement. This company, without my previous knowledge, renewed my membership without notifying me prior to the renewal date. They stored my credit card information for a year. I had no idea they had done that. When I inquired about this, they said I had signed up for an automatic renewal (which I did not). I just found out that the person who signed me in, typed "Yes" for auto renewal on page 2 and then typed "NO" for auto renewal on the 4th page. Huge discrepancy especially when it was not me who filled out the form. I had no idea they had done this without my knowledge or consent.
This is a sketchy business practice and Vendors who wish to sign up with them to advertise their business should be aware of this and be extremely cautious.
I would not recommend The Knot to anyone. During the one year I had the membership with The Knot, I did not get much traffic nor did I find a client. I am doing a lot better with Wedding Wire.
Although TheKnot is good in general, it really focuses a LOT on the commercial side of things (since that's how they make their money). Specifically, there is no way to ensure that your guests see your website before being able to go see your registry. For most people, this is ok, but we wanted to make sure that our guests were welcomed to our event before being directed to a place to buy us stuff.
Personally, if they were more accommodating with simple things like this, I would have rated them higher, but the response I got for all of these issues was - we don't support that.
The staff at the NY event was appalling today. Models flew into NY to the Metro Pavilion to attend castings that they were personally invited to. Only to find a security guard named Chris who owns EMG models in NY refusing to allow the models in. Have a security guard on staff that owns a modeling agency is a conflict of interest but it gets worse. Chris would ask models to see their casting email invites and still refuse to allow the models in. Then he would send his own models to the castings. We know this because we work with the same designers in NY, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta and they informed us what happened. Not to mention Chris himself acknowledged it. After 2 hours of waiting Chris finally allowed the models in but at that point the castings were over. Models are out money on flights and hotel and leaving negative reviews all over the internet to let others no how EMG Agency is unethical, the Knot is complicit as is the Metropolitan Pavilion.
If I could give this website ZERO STARS- I would. We have used this site to set up all of our wedding information to give to guest and to have guests RSVP. For months, I have been sending in complaints that the website keeps changing our date, sometimes multiple times a day! This is unacceptable. If the website were only to have one this working, I would want it to be the correct date! How am I supposed to have guests plan lodging and travel? It is so confusing! The worst part is that in nearly four months, The Knot has not been able to fix the problem, and it has even gotten worse- changing many times throughout the day, even seconds after I change it back. Do not use this website or service. You will regret it. Save yourself the headache.
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
