Completely bs salesperson Rachel.
She gave me a discount of $ 40but she added $50 traveling.
And changed my schedule for the next day ( Monday)
My agreement was to come on Sunday at 3pm.
She called around 2 15pm saying that they are very busy and they will be there at 8:30 pm.
I said Noi its too late.
Our agreement was to pay one hour for traveling.
She was sorry and give me a$40 discount.
She send me a different agreement with 2 hours moving ( when at first it was 3 and half hour)
When I asked her why she is charging 1 hour and half for traveling,
She responded because of the traffic.
She gave me a $ 40 discount but added an half hour of $50 for traveling.
I lost a day of work and a dentist appointment.
Then scheduled
I used the service back in August. One of the items was to assemble two bed frames from IKEA. The tasker was very nice. He told us he was relatively new. We didn't mind. When he finished the bed frames we put the mattress on and it didn't fit in the fames and not sitting on the ribs. The mattress was just sitting on top of the edge of the frames. Because of the unstable position of the mattress it keeps shifting when we sleep, essentially the mattress is always titled.
We brought this issue to the support team. After some back and forth and untimely response they refuse to send a taker to fix it, instead they offered a credit for the next job. They did not address our concern, in fact they never mentioned about our frame problem. How do they expect us to use their future service if they didn't get the first one right?
The issue is not about if the tasker can do the job right in the first place, it is about how the support team's effort to have the issue resolved in a timely and responsible manner. In our case the support team failed badly.

I tried 2 different taskers and both disappointed me big times. Dirty work, incompleted tasks, taking much much longer than needed, writing more hours than they worked and worst of all, I have to redo all of it again! So basically the money was completely wasted! Now here is where it gets fishy. Their reviews are all 5 stars by many "customers". I am on the phone line to reach someone at taskrabbit for more than a half hour now. No answer. Certainly not recommended!
Edit: I was able to finally reach someone from taskrabbit and am now presenting my case. Will update with more info soon.
Tasker did not did job correctly I'm trying to contact with Task Rabbit customer service they want me to send thousand of pictures. Water wasn't leaking send them the pictures too but they don't want to take care of the customers 2 weeks finally they close the case and told me to go to my insurance co and claim them. Very bad business this was my 10th job never complained. 1 star is too much for them try to use if you know some one or call company pay little extra but not task rabbit.

I bought a piece of furniture from Ikea Ottawa. Taskrabbit was supposed to come at 8am on Saturday morning to assemble. At 9am he had not shown up, so I contacted them. They said Artur M had scheduled me for 9:30. At 9:40 I got a message from Artur M who said he could not come until 6-7pm that night. I cancelled the assembly.
I hired Video to do 2 jobs and he texts me at the last minute he has a scheduling problem. Shouldn't he know that before accepting the job?
Don't use the service
Large mirror installed by tasker came down 3 months later thankfully no obvious damage. I paid my Super to remove the mirror and he showed me the extra hole in the wall and only one screw instead of two on that side. Tasker did not centre mirror and had to redo it - maybe he broke the screw and did not say a word. No wonder the mirror didn't hold with a screw missing. Taskrabbit support was no help - they won't do a thing if it's after 30 days. A mirror should not come down at all! Chat with the tasker is disabled after 24 hours and no review can be left once invoiced. Support will not allow client to contact the tasker, they emailed him to contact me and he has chosen not to. No repercussions for the tasker. 2nd and 3rd support reps said the matter was escalated the 4th said no escalation. I attached photos and explained what happened to no avail. Asked to speak to someone more senior also refused. Their policies are rigid and just leave the client frustrated. I paid an extra fee for their guarantee, and chose a tasker with higher rate as his profile said 'I'm bonded and insured you get what you pay for' yet am out the money and have no recourse but to hire someone else to fix what went wrong. I will never use Taskrabbit again.
My tasker Olga P. Overcharged me in a slick way. She didn't put 2 hour minimum in her bio but found a slick way to put it in a note. She didn't even have to do 30 minutes. She told me that Taskrabbit would refund me. Then she stopped communicating. This is fraud.
My Tasker was over an hour late, yet I was charged for the hour anyway. The best they could offer was a $20-something credit for future services. I also got charged an extra $60 fee for some nonsense. I will never use them again. Horrible customer service too.

It ends up being very expensive with low skilled labour. The taskers are mediocre, better off with facebook kijiji as there are no extra fees.
These guys did a terrible job of scheduling my ikea assembly. And when they finally worked out those kinks. The tackett cancelled because "I dont assemble that ikea furniture" IU mean it was a dresser, what do you assemble form Ikea?

I checked with two rabbits. One task rabbit (William S), tried to hustle me by demanding on doing more than what I needed. I needed a door, have the whole idea mapped out, and he insisted on reinforcing the fence. A fence he had never seen. A fence that is secure. He acted like he was going to sign his name to the task, even though he wasn't creative enough to have even seen an outside door on a fence. He said he didn't want to 'compromise his integrity'. This had nothing to do with it. It's like putting up an order to repaint your door, and the TR insists on painting the whole house, or he won't do it. That is William S! Also, he cancelled quickly, so i couldn't comment on his page. I'm betting that he does that to a lot of people, hence the high rating. Next was Jerel. Jerel seemed nice, until I had a conversation with him to discuss the job. We were two days away, and he hadn't given me a list of needed items. I asked to speak to him by phone, as he would be coming to my house. He was very short, and abrupt on the phone. I had wanted to connect because he had left off the last message with, 'and anything you can think of', in terms of acquiring what was needed for the job. I said I came to him, as the professional, to guide me through this process. Let me know what you need to do the job. He responded, "I'm not a professional". I said, "okay, but you took the job, you said this is what you do full time, and you said you do construction work. I edit, so that is what I do professionally." I was thinking, "why are we talking in circles here." At the end of the call, I didn't feel confident in his skills. Despite numerous picture, neither wanted to give me an estimate of the time for the work. I ended up scraping the project for now. I'm going to go with Thumbtack when I'm ready. The people are much more professional. Save your valuable time and skip Task Rabbit.
What sort of set up is this? If I'd of read the reviews before I never would have booked. One tasker turned up the other one didn't. It was a two man job so we asked for reschedule then I got charged for the cancellation. No one answers the support line. This is not a service as there is no delivery just money pinching!
I signed up to be a Tasker put about an hour into my profile paid my $25 background check fee it was pretty easy. Then I got a task and was paid for it but I can't get the money because they work with stripe. Stripe is extremely picky about the banks they work with so chances are your account won't be validated. I was never informed I needed a certain type of bank account to be a Tasker for task rabbit. Reached out to customer service and they can't tell me which bank I need to open a new account with to get paid, I asked for a list of approved banks they couldn't give me one. I searched stripe website and set up a new account at an approved bank and guess what? I still can't get my money! I chose and opened an account that was listed on stripes website and my bank account still isn't " supported" Run far away if your thinking of picking up extra work with task rabbit. Until they ditch stripe I will never work for them again. What an illegal scam to keep the money I worked for! I'm reporting them. If you book services on task rabbit your Tasker is never going to see that money. Stop supporting indentured servitude. This whole organization is a joke! I would give no stars if I could.
I would not recommend this company I had a man booked in to do job on a Wednesday messaged to say he couldent do till the Friday as he had another job... came last night at 5-30 instead of 4 o'clock. Took him five and half hours to assemble one wardrobe sliding doors were not put on properly massive gaps on both ends with end strips and bits still in boxes, he left and said I would have to get someone else if I was not happy they still charged me even before asking me if I was happy with it... I'm so angry never use these again.
It's been 4 months an still can't get help. This service is a joke. Each tasker is full of it the site is trash
I had Kaye assemble my dresser this morning. He was fantastic! He arrived early and started immediately. His appearance and mannerisms were exceptional. Kaye was very friendly! I will be hiring Kaye for all my IKEA assembly jobs.

Got a Tv stand from IKEA and was so excited to put it together and see how it turns out.
They suggested task rabbit so I thought why not. Checked the app and found one for the next morning 8am, Wednesday, which worked perfect coz I didn't have work just had to cancel my morning routine. Even set an alarm for him coz that's how much I respect people's time, only to get an email at 8:10, which is 10 minutes past the appointment time that my tasker cancelled.
I was like cool, it happens.
Went back to the app and found another tasker who was available at 12pm, at a higher price but at this point I was a little desperate coz I'd taken the console out of the box to make their job easier so my living room was a mess and I knew I had to fix that before EOD.
This tasker even promised to come an hour earlier, which was great I knew he needed a magnetic screw for the install so I made sure he was aware, said he didn't have any, and went out of his way to grab it one on his way, which I offered to reimburse.
This guy said something had come up so switched the time back to 12pm, cool.
Tell me why this guy stopped answering my texts/calls at 12:15.
Starts to flood my inbox with another client's tv stand pictures explaining how it had taken him 7hrs and he can't come bcs he has another client bla bla! When he had assured me he was on his way!
Tried to reason with him and even offered a later time, he developed an attitude and told me that I should not force him to do my job and I can go ahead and do it myself.
I let it go and forgot about him, turned all the frustrations into energy and installed that thing by myself lol. I didn't break anything, took me hours though.
On Friday morning I'm at work minding my business and this guy starts calling and texting saying he's at my door
The audacity though! Im not sure if he's still at my door, I hope he has snacks coz he's gonna wait for a loooong time!
The fact that he just put me on his schedule without my knowledge just amazes me!
Please when you hear Task rabbit just Run!
I got a good worked through task rabbit at what appeared to be a reasonable price. When they charged me they added a 30% commission. When you ask about their so-called "trust and support fee" they do not tell you what percentage it is. 30% is criminal. Avoid them, or be aware that they are deceptive.
Answer: Mine responded and loved to chat. At the end, he cancelled the appointment. What a waste of time. Very disappointing.
